  1. Rephrase due to idiocy: is there such a thing called internal o-rings, located inside the fill valve?

    1. M_P

      M_P

Yeah most have small o-rings in tnem

    2. M_P

      M_P

No idea of the specific name though but if you go to Halfords or something I'm sure they'll have a load of small ones

  2. WE's GBB glock series; personal experience with the 18c, ive had a hell of a lot of fun on the full auto, even if inaccurate as fuck ;D last i checked prices are ~£100 and an extended magazine will only set you back £40 for 50 rounds, so single shot will be a breeze. the umarex Usp45 is a very nice looking and feeling pistol, my only qualm about it is the plastic (Sorry, POLYMER!) slide. other than that, very gas efficient and covert looking pistol. would buy another one, but the mags arent cheap. Finally, my baby, the "WE" Px4 storm. again, a covert bond-esque kinda pistol, but packs a really fun and loud kick. not only that, but should it bust, its TM compatible and mags are decently priced...though im fixing mine due to gas leaks.
  3. Well i run a Retevis h-777 with the added earmic which isnt too bad for about a miles worth of comms. my mini-squad rarely use them, if needed but other than that really it's just the bowman im after; the throat mic is just an extra
  4. Just for the sake of looking cool and updating my radio gear, im tempted to go after a headset; namely. this one: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Radio-Communication-Gear-Z-Tactical-Throat-Mic-for-Bowman-EVOIII-Headset-BK-Z045-/161735898982 Would just like to know if the Bowman headset is worth the price and has little issues and if throat mics are effecient as opposed to the standard boom mic? thanks.
  5. Overall, I like the idea of treating getting patches like earning them in scouts x'D don't wear it, unless you did it first! that being said, i am itching for a zombie hunter patch
  6. happy days :3 turns out my px4 mags were leaky because the threading was loose :3 easy fix and only one needed PTFE tape

  7. Instantly won me over with the BOS patch :3 the thought never occured to me to get one
  8. Ironically i've had no problems in relations to bushes that i have a tendency to crawl through without the necessity of a helmet; Saying that, CQB is a rarity considering my travelling distances, though i do want to practice my room clearing. I've yet to find the necessity of a helmet, but might buy one as a backup/alt loadout.
  9. That raises a good point in fairness; i always seem to bring my cap if nothing at all considering i dont mind the occassional headshot and have yet to headbutt any incoming furniture x] are helmets worth the price for the protection? though i'd rather invest in some decent goggles that don't fog and fit over glasses.
  10. Honestly, im very unsure what look im going for between the two; as much as i want to look intimidating, i want to show that i'm easyily approachable from the barrel end ;D I'd say 60% Realism 40% Fun....if you can throw statistics at a "what do i want?" question xD
  11. I've (as have many other players, im sure) played around with lo/mid/hi cap mags to say that it's really up to personal preference and whichever suits your playstyle. I dread to think however, of an LMG player that is going to run around the map only carrying 10 locaps and not cover the team, due to the fact the 2500 round box mag was too heavy. In reality, the "qualities" you want to look for is that the mags you choose feed well, are easy to obtain and operate (Not a highcap missing the fill hatch that you'll tape over; I have one and it fed terribly because of it). I didnt include cheap considering that most magazine sets of 10 are around the £40-50 mark, just for 85rds per mag.
  12. Perusing around the interwebs, as usual, when i toy with the idea of getting 1 or 2 morale patches to stick on my vest; Problem is; can i pull it off? Most players i see these days very rarely have them, if at all that, doesn't include blood types or the occassional medic patch. And considering i wanna go for a coyote mercenary/PMC loadout, would it be abit too much? BONUS QUESTION: Green or Sand Shemagh with a coyote vest? Cheers.
  13. In the mood to go clubbing :D Anyone know where to find babyseals? x'D jokes of ofcourse; i know where they are!

because a 2 triple mag pouches that are empty is heavy enough xD nah, just decided to sling my M4 on the vest as it was hanging up...bad choice......

  15. Got some clips of previous airsoft games that need editing; anyone know a decent 32-bit editing system that wont spaz out over 1080p AVI files?

      Tad

      The Adobe Premier works well.

    2. RabidNinja64

      RabidNinja64

      Unfortunately doesnt support a 32-bit system :(

  16. Tempted with a D-boys 416, but the branding severely puts me off; anyone got recommendations?

lol by branding i actually meant in terms of the quality of their clones, considering they arent necessarily known (to me) for putting out any decent weapons.

    3. THE FNG

      THE FNG

I've owned both TM AND vfc SCARs....TM's are far superior!

    4. Sitting Duck

      Sitting Duck

Thing to remember is mag compatibility with many 416's as magwell is a bit bigger than regular M4 - mid caps work best in my hk-416.

nice gun but it does need a few upgrades - mainly hop unit and getting good mags

      stock mag is w@nk

  17. Hmmm; £250 for a Honey badger or £160 for a GC16 Mod0 30th anniversary?

First hand is much more preferable monty :) experience with second hand deals didnt go well for me.

  18. Having a spot of bother looking for an CAA AEG polymer hopup replacement. Anyone got eyes on? :)

    1. Rock-climby-Dave

      Rock-climby-Dave

It's just a standard M4/M16 type hop unit. an asg Ultimate or Pro win should fit

  19. I once went into a 4 hour CQB game, came out with no kills...... That, and went into the same game sporting a AirsoftWorld patch on my PC, got looked down upon, and a JDairsoft patch found its way from someone's PC to mine. Sad to say I still havent found the loving giant!
  20. Thought #2: Would a GBB mp7 be woodland skirmishable? practically my only working gun till the m4 comes out of repair!

the hop on the VFC is alright tbf; ive yet to hold a TM to know the difference but given the chance id probably swap for one :P other than that the cooldown on VFC isn't too harsh either, just more preferable to stay on single shot

    3. RabidNinja64

      RabidNinja64

Then again saying that for a woodland game, i intend to be running around quite abit in a sort of "lone wolf" perspective.

  21. Kinda curious as to how well a CB plate carrier and MTP top n bottoms will blend in a forest environment......will find out sunday!

  22. just casually spraying my glock slide chrome. looking pretty kickass so far!

    1. DEDSEC

      DEDSEC

Why not just sand it down till it's "chrome" then polish it?

    2. g&g45

      g&g45

can you do this with all guns? might do it with my g&g extreme, what grit sandpaper do i need.

    3. DEDSEC

      DEDSEC

Start with something like 120 and then use 150 to smooth it out.

  23. Anyone got eyes on the ICS 252 (Better known as the Sig 552) ? £160 sounds decentish..or is ICS shite?

I have an Ics Sig 552 its a great gun. Forget what it says above.mosfet is pointless unless you change other stuff or are planning on using an 11.1 lipo.

Inner barrel is fine the bucking is crap though.

Pay the extra and get the mrs version though lots of RIS and you dont need a peq box for the battery. Mags are an issue thats the only thing.

      Hudson

I picked one up 2nd hand a few weeks for a bargain; liking it so far.

Much more solid than my old TM and JG versions and the quick take-down is a god-send!

  24. Argh! second gun of the year which is totally knackered (according to "expert opinion") which will probably cost me just as much as getting a new one. Should just avoid m4 builds altogether at this point.

      Sitting Duck

what exact gun & model and what's the matter with it ????

    2. Rock-climby-Dave

      Rock-climby-Dave

A lot of things have to go wrong at once for something to be completely knackered.

*Sigh* turns out my mate was having me one xD kindly dropped it off at JD for me today and then told me they needed new parts, THEN told me he was joking the w**ker.

  25. Anyone know where i can buy a cheap pack of o-rings online? a pack of 8 pieces of small rubber for 4 quid seems too ridiculous for me.

"Superglue fuses rubber if it contains cyanoacrylate"

Come on. Seriously did you just say that? Super Glue IS a cyanoacrylate adhesive. Also it doesn't fuse, it bonds.

Anyway, the reason your particular case failed was most likely down to poor bonding of the original rubber pad on the head. Which is the precise reason why pretty much EVERY tutorial I've ever seen for AoE correction says you should remove any original pad before fixing on your sorbo pad. Cheap...

    3. Sitting Duck

      Sitting Duck

I'm gonna back out of this but not ALL adhesives marked as "super glue" contains that.

      Simple check that was all

    4. Lozart

      Lozart

I've never yet seen a "super glue" that isn't a cyanoacrylate. Granted Super Glue is a trade name so not all cyanoacrylates are "Super Glue" but I'm pretty sure all super glues are cyanoacrylate. Happy to be proven wrong as ever though.
