  1. Andy the owner of UCAP is famous for hating anything involving UKARA. +1 to Combat South though, my first RIF came from them in a hire purchase scheme with UCAP.
  2. I'm scared, about to open my first gearbox to chop a spring down a little bit 0.0

Problem I'm having is the spring which stops the trigger contact sliding forward also sits in the tappet plate runner thingy making it really awkward to keep the two springs in place.

I now have a major compression issue :/ I wont be using it this weekend. I might be brave enough to attempt to fix it next week or I might leave it until post Uni and put a HPA jack in and remove the nightmare of the gearbox.

  3. From what I've seen so far sounds like it might be in the South East instead, especially as the Pit is being developed on now.

  6. Yh its a Cyma CM035 Just need to solder on some Deans Connectors and I will be able to test and chrono it shortly
  7. Went for a AKs-74u in the end. Turns out the shipment was mostly for the Ares VZ line which does not quite float my boat. Happy with the AKS though, just need to wire some deans up and chrono it before going midcap hunting.
  8. I would just get one from Poland but the game is only next weekend and I dont trust them frenchies to not cause too big a delay. Living in Kent i've experienced the choas of op stack and would hate to see what it is like on the other side. I've also yet to have a proper visit to an airsoft shop so am looking forward to being able to handle some before taking the plunge.
  9. Lol, thats good to know thankyou I dont think I've managed to buy a particularly airsoft rifle yet! If they still make them when I have the storeage space at uni/money I would love to put a daytona HPA recoil kit into it... However I need to hope the local shop has them in first else I will need to get something else as a back up.
  10. Whats its like? Depending on what my local store has come in on there delivery there is a chance ill be getting one wednesday.
  11. Ordering an Enfield from Shoot and Scoot 2 month ago... Spent half the morning trying to contact them to say its too late to be any use to me now I want my money back.
  12. Shoot and Scoots 4th self imposed deadline has been and gone by a week now... Thim I may well be asking for my money back tomorrow :(

  14. Lol I managed to stir up the Ukara police against me on FB even though my comment on something had no relation to UKARA full stop.

Think they are trying to bring back the death penalty for that. 11th commandment - thou shall not f"ck with the ukara or blaspheme against thy vcra

  15. Role playing with airsoft guns is the best description for the Okto Games. Its a lot of fun because of it as well. Most of the MDF (Government) team was just in DPMs or Flaktarn with a simple rifle and chest rig or plate carrier. The biggest irony was that the rebels seemed to have the more gucci kit then us...
  16. Toy Soldiers is probably part of the reason I have no judgemental partners to worry about
  17. Fire support have the KA, 110 rounds pack of 5 midcaps back in stock for the AUG for £29. Having used them for a few months I would say there are some flaws but they are the cheapest option.
  18. I gave up on my PC after three games as it turned into a giant boil in the bag come summer. Currently using a Viper belt rig and finding it a lot more comfortable.
  19. Nooo.... the whole point is you cant buy a RIF. You can own a RIF, you just cannot buy one without a Valid reason (Defense) for it.
  20. I own two AUGs (F88s to be pedantic ) and until recently an L85. Like you I cant get on with the AR/M4 platforms as I find them all too short in the stock. If you want a rifle and dont want to add anything to it then a A1 AUG is a good choice. Very pointable and easy to get along with although finding places with Mid Caps in stock is awkward at times. The A2 is a good choice if you want to just add a site to a rifle but it does not really replicate any real rifles. The A3 is the third choice if you want to go ballistic adding accessories to it. Like the A2 though they are a very poor representation of the real A3 but there are some inserts available on shapeways (3d printed) to fix this. You would likely find that this is quite a front heavy rifle as well but because of the motor being right at the back I would imagine it would still be fairly well balanced. The L85 I also found decent to work with even with the added complexities of the GBB system on mine. For me though I found it was slightly awkward to use with the standard handgaurd until I used the sling to help support the front of the rifle. No idea if this is how the forces are trained but it was something I learned shooting the N08 in cadets and it helped massively. My friend now has the rifle though and fitted a DD rail and it is very nice to handle. I'm seeing more F2000s about but unfortunetly have never had the chance to handle one along with the Tavor :/ Probably the biggest deciding factor between and L85 and an AUG is weather or not you need to be able to shoot single shot for the purposes of a sites rules. There is a modification you can do to the AUG trigger to create a semi position but it is a bit of work. Otherwise you are stuck with the two stage trigger and it is very hard to be able to consistently fire single shots with it. If you sites have no restrains on full auto then its not a problem otherwise you will need to start modifying it from the off.
  21. Ah I see, I think it was the result of some poll they did a few years ago about whether to allow them or not.
  22. Lol why do you say the sandpit is serious? Its a good sight though to play, slightly awkward to get to if your coming in by train though as you will have to get a bus from the station to bluewater then walk up a bastard of a hill. It is worth the climb though
  23. Awesome, wasted my day off waiting for a parcel that did not show. Thanks Parcel force!

think your technically entitled to compensation for the "subsequent loss" if you had to take another day off.

There was no way I would be allowed to take a day off to wait for a parcel. That is good to know in the future though :) Fortunately (not for the poor driver) it turned up at half 9 in the evening!

  24. If you end up near Kent then the Sandpit is Massive! Might be worth going there for a Milsim though to make your trip worth it.
