  1. I've been wanting to write this for a while but wanted to wait until the everything was finally resolved. Shoot and Scoot make some very nice custom airsoft weapons mostly ww2 related as well as movie prop weapons and equipment. I ordered a Lee Enfield N04 kit from them on the 1st of June. In kit forms the rifles require some basic prep work (mostly sanding+staining) and then the final assembly. There is a cheaper expert kit form which is slightly cheaper but requires a lot more work. Upon ordering I only received an initial automated confirmation email. By the following week I had heard nothing so phoned them up just to make sure they received the payment ok and to get a guideline on when it would be ready. I spoke to the owner of the business and was given a quote of two to three weeks which is what I was expecting. After three weeks I had heard nothing and phoned again and was told that it would be done by the following Thursday. This pattern went on for a bit. I actually met them at War and Peace and was given a definite finish date in person for two weeks time. After this time had elapsed and them some I asked for a refund on the order as it was becoming a joke. I asked for that refund on the 11th August and yet again despite several promises that it would be sorted out and a couple of ignored emails on their part I only just got the refund today... Its a very frustrating experience from a company that I really wanted to like. The staff are friendly to talk to and really know there stuff but their customer service and very basic communication of issues ranges from absolutely appalling to non-existent. Now I have read some accounts of good experience with them and I have also read and heard about several bad experiences. They are definitely lacking in any form of consistency. One other thing that annoyed me was the excuse for the delays on the rifle. They were apparently waiting for some parts for the kit but they never contacted me at any point to let me know there would be a delay. I also cannot work out why you would advertise something as being in stock when you dont actually have the parts to be able to construct the kit. It seems really counter-intuitive to me as they are then at the mercy of others causing delays for them. I would consider possibly trying to order something from them in the future, but I will be going in with both eyes wide open next time. I need about 3 years to calm down first though,
  2. Lol, 6 of us moved into our accommodation. I've only met 2 others so far. Apperenlty Germans dont like mixing with us :(

If you're in a house, you'll probably mix in together after a while. One of my housemates friends is living in halls and apparently no one talks to anyone. They just sit in their rooms

Weirdly it turns out that the of the 3 polish people only 1 is actually staying in our house O.o On the plus side the one staying did come and start talking to us the day after.

Uni is weird for mixing. Its always funny seeing some of the groups around campus in the first few weeks. Where else can you get a Goth, Rocker, Punk, Chav, Hipster and Hooray henry all hanging out together. It wont take long til you end up with the people you hang out with most, a club or society group and a course group are probably the most common.

  3. I doubt you would get enough air in the mag for a decent number of shots? The propane expands quite a bit when it is released to get a decent amount of force.
  4. I dragged two friends from school along on my first game, then a friend from work for my next one. I then played a couple of games by myself and generally ended up chatting to someone. I'm not an outgoing person either so rest assured you will be fine. There will be others by themselves or in a small group of 2 or 3. They tend to be most approachable.
  5. I cant make this one I normally play as MDF as well as BrightCandle and Zack(cant remember the rest of your forum name). Its somewhere between a skirmish and a Milism. You wont be in endless firefights and the action tends to be very sudden and also over very quickly. There was a lot of cat and mouse going on between the MDF and the 'shadow troop' rebels over the weekend last time. You will have control of a large base I think like last time to stick a day bag in. Your only really going to need what you normally take on to a skirmish with you.
  6. Awesome day. More then made up for the pain of trying to get two guns working so a friend could try the sport.

I was at the sandpit. A quite day(by sandpit standards) and two teams without players who did not want to keep pushing so all the games were quite good. Its a shame this will probably be my last game for a fair while now :(

Also met someone who is on the second year of my uni course I am starting Friday at the same university as well lol. I cannot imagine what the odds of that are.

  7. Where in kent are you? If you are in north kent you have kentons in Dartford, Platoon Stores in Rochester (also sell Airsoft bits ), Cotswalds at Notcutts in Maidstone.

I'm liking the FAL right at the bottom :)

The irony I like is that Begadi will be making replica's of rifles that are made to imitate other companies rifles.

Those look interesting. So do SAR own the rights to the real steel counterparts, or do they already produce clones of other companies weapons if not?

From what I've seen its mostly - that looks rather like an MP5 but it is not quite kinda thing.

  8. It really ticks me off how pushy some ebay sellers are, particularly the well established ones, when it comes to feedback. Giving me hints on what to consider when leaving feedback is much more likely to make me want to leave something neutral then positive!

Good point. When you think about it, delivering something that on time, as described, at the price advertised warrants neutral feedback It's not like they've done anything exceptional, now is it?

What is worse is when you leave them feedback and they cannot even be bothered to do the same for you.

  9. I managed to get 3 kills in a night game by shouting bang while sitting in the middle of the path they were walking down Not a single grenade or BB needed!
  10. Someone from a game I was at recently flew in from Denmark. From what he said they were concerned that he was bringing the rifle over just to sell. With 4 rifles I would imagine they will get very sceptical and quite possibly would become very suspicious and believe this is your intention rather then just playing with them. (This is his experience with UK custom)
  11. Dont work in retail :/ I am not meant to work sundays yet I've only had 6 of this year...
  12. Ordered a Lipo a couple of weeks ago. Aside from the initial confirmation email I have neither heard nor received anything. Sent them an email a few days ago and still no reply. This is feeling like a repeat of my dealings with shoot and scoot.
  13. Get a WE L85. They make enough noise you may be able to convince some of the more gullible that you are actually firing blanks

I only just moved up from windows xp when I got a new laptop. I prefered it to Windows 7.

Yeah I preferred XP to 7. Windows 10 still has half screens fisher prices style and other like old Windows 7, and this is on the Pro version. They have this insane inability to be consistent.

I've been using it for a few days now. I cleaned installed onto a new SSD. It boots very fast. Despite being very sceptical at first I think it was definetly worth upgrading too.

  15. Lct are meant to be fairly comparable I think. Airsoft Zone have them.
  16. The MDF just seemed to have constant battles with shadow troop lol. Felt like we was playing the mouse more then the cat though.
  17. It was lol. I legged it about 30 seconds after you got away and dived for the first decent looking bush. You got a pretty good kill there.
  18. I do not know how we managed to escaped from it when it had us pinned down as the MPF were pushing up on the station. I got caught short by it on the Saturday and chose too surrender rather then eventually get mowed to death. However the rebels have not heard of the Geneva Convention
  19. She was searched lol. The cabbages were just not seen as a threat at the time oooh did not know about the pistols. The IED was discovered at least though.
  20. I said the innocent looking lady would start it lol
  21. Well so far despite being a noob to the game I managed to fix every problem I had with my L85. All I have done is fuck up my new AEG trying to bring the FPS down so far. There more hands on per game but on the whole far far simpler to work on. On the other hand I probably had a total cost so far of £550 before I sold it on for the gun and the rest of the bits I brought for it. Once I'm staying in private accommodation at uni the following year I may well look into going HPA as it looks far more reliable.
  22. Classic Army: Dont tend to see much of them around new these days but by all accounts solid AEGs.
