Hi guys and gals. Just asking to see if the FN FAL is so much more different to the L1A1/SLR . i know the SLR was manufactured by the British and came from the original Belgian FAL but since King Arms has Discontinued production of the L1A1 would YOU recommend the FN FAL for a back up instead?

Funny Enough i won that same plate carrier for £40 and from the same guy aswell and it has held for ages for me and is still in good condition if that helps.

This is kind of Sad to be honest. I think there are too many manufactures making M4's or Ak's and SHOULD be making good historical weapons for re enactments etc.
