  1. alright mate, thanks for the advice. my dad will have to finish with UKARA after my exams, which will mean the mk2 will be readily available hopefully.

I doubt i will be touching the motor, can see myself breaking something, when as you said the response is not that much (i was using a cm16 before which wasn't great so im not worried) and they seem really good, cheers mate

  2. Ok, not to sound a dick but what do you want to run? is it HPA? is it a recoil AEG? is it a decent AEG? I know you are young so it is all quite exciting, but work out what you want from a gun.

In answer to this question and probably most others you ask..... buy a Krytac from their Trident range, either Mk1 or Mk2 will be amazing. You won't need to upgrade as the improvements will not outweigh the cost.

They will match a TM for range/accuracy if not beat it. They cost a shed load less. They are a world better than an ICS. Only reason not to buy one is if going HPA.... and then you'd not want a TM either...... or would you.....

Reason for having a Krytac/TM if going HPA would be the hop.... and I'd still go Krytac. But seriously if going HPA buy a GBBR and convert it if you want recoil, or buy a donor AEG that looks ace on the outside and cheap as chips inside if buying an AEG to HPA.

yeah i understand i do a lot of changing my mind, in the end i figure its just gonna be a normal aeg. I see that they are actually highly regarded, never heard of them as well. (never really want to do hpa anymore)

this an mk1 or 2? i hear the mk2 is new, and seems to be generally better quality externals, if thats an mk1 i might wait for the mk2

just one question - i see it has an integrated mosfet, but only recommends 7.4. are they playing it safe and can you run an 11.1 or not?

guessing they are all the same internally, just different externals as well?

    thanks for the advice mate

  3.

Quick Questions and Simple Answers ??? <_< Maybe start a new thread about this.

well the point is you can answer 1 of the questions. i'm not gonna ask 1 out of the 3 questions if i have 3 questions, but the 3 questions aren't enough to open a new thread. idea was to answer 1 of the so questions or whatever.

@djben9, that is the £260 gun or whatever? if so, it shoot nicely? seems like the gun to get at the moment, good price, good build and good reviews so far

  4. i have the CXP-UK1, standard as is, run on 7.4 Lipo and love it! (same with me, first AEG, first battery type)

cant say any more than that to be honest, no need to upgrade it as perfectly fine, shoots around 320/330 depending where its chrono'd :). One day I will try heavier bb's but still got several thousand to get through....

If you do get one, and carry out any upgrades, keep me posted :)

one day I will tweak, but so far it only has a torch and foregrip...all I need :)

yeah i will upgrade if i do get it, keep in mind i always change my mind but i like the price and the supposed quality. i'm guessing the body is polymer? is it solid?

  5. OK, ignore last question, i have a few more though, if you can answer any of them please do, all help is appreciated

    1) I want to go a bit more expensive than a CM16, was looking at an ICS transform4 (i like the keymod etc)

What are people's opinions on these? have read around a bit and they seem pretty good quality and nice guns, so I was thinking this would be a decent workhorse kind of gun

    2) Upgrades, If I were to get this gun, how could I upgrade it to shoot accurately. What i was thinking was

1- LiPo for faster rof and snappier trigger, plus LiPo's are all I have used and seemed really good

2- PDI tightbore barrel, I know that 6.01 is a bit extreme, was thinking 6.05? is this sensible or not at all. Not really sure what it comes with, but i hear PDI is still the best barrels (albeit expensive)

3- laylax purple bucking - i hear this is the best bucking, and its a tenner so if it increases the accuracy even a small bit it would be good.

I want a gun that can shoot TM kind of range at around 340-350 FPS but not more, and will be very accurate. fine if it shoots a bit less than TM, i had a G&G cm16 before and was fine with that

    TL;DR

is the transform4 a good gun, and is upgrade 2 + 3 good. whilst we are at it what other upgrades should i do (barring gearbox, not too worried until that gives up, as long as the ics components are decent which i hear they are)

cheers, and sorry for the spam, i try and keep it down lol

  6. as i have forgotten, can you run TM EBB guns with Li-Pos? I was thinking the 7.4 or whatever from that website, can't remember the name but i remember them being really good from my experience.

also, anyone had any experience with the fire support upgrade service? do the guns still have that "magic" after the people have been messing about with the gears (basically do they still shoot nicely?)

    thanks

  7. yeah fair enough, the paint job looked pretty cool as well (not buying the gun til the summer)

right, upgrades for the VSR. ASPUK say that the upgrades they do maybe cheaper but still the same quality compared to PDI and laylax, is this true? they charge £300 to completely fit it all as well (my mate had a few problems when he fitted his)

i think they use EZ trigger's or something, but i don't know how good they are compared to PDI and lay lax.

  8. yeah what i figured, my mate painted one and whilst it looks good, it was never up to factory standard, ie it could slightly rub off a bit, and wasn't completely stuck (still well done). we used all the right stuff as well, i think its called krylone? used the proper base, then loads of layers but still not perfect, people still recommend krylone?

  9. okay so after having a look i see you can now upgrade the vsr to gas? is this a good thing to do, apparently the mancraft are good? the kit looked to be £100 and i guess you have to get a barrel as well for a upgrade and some other shit, is this a good idea? and which company is best to look at?

tl;dr is the gas conversion worth it, what other upgrades would i get, and which company makes the best upgrade?

    thanks

  10. so i have also been out of the game for ages, and i am looking to get back into airsoft in the future at some point. want to get something different though. not the usual AEG. I was thinking maybe a gas gun but prices are too high for me at the moment. I was thinking maybe a sniper rifle, had a lot of fun with my mates upgraded TM vsr (although £600 into a sniper is too much for me)

    How is this: http://proairsoftsupplies.co.uk/acatalog/DOUBLE-EAGLE-M63-SPECIAL-SPRING-SHOTGUN-210872.html#SID=170

not sure if it is any good, but it seems like a lot of fun for £50, guessing its single shot so a bit like a sniper, i like the idea of it being harder than an aeg. gas would be another option later on though

  11. nope lol. From the amazon link, yeah its gonna be shit. yep im right.

    Where to start.

Well, be realistic, its £430, you shouldnt be able to get a PC, monitor, keyboard mouse, and speakers for that price that can decently game, lets be honest.

R7 240? what were they thinking, that is just shocking. Didnt even know AMD did a card like that lol.

assuming 8gb of ram, unless its mega slow thats fine.

1TB hard drive, meh get an SSD for games and OS, personally i would

AMD athlon, well thats budget. I don't touch AMD, more of an intel man myself, but yeah im sure its not very good, because I have an athlon in my 5 year old laptop. It survives, but it doesnt game. saying that for a budget AMD is king, and it is a quad core so it could probably do the job.

What i'm saying is, build it yourself. The only way these people make money is by charging a higher price. If you build it, you can choose any item, so you don't have to have a nuclear waste case, you can have some non chinese branded ram, a decent MoBo, and a decent gpu.

I can't seem to find a general consensus for what you want to spend, how much is it?

If its over 500, go Intel IMO. you can get a nice rig for about that price (without peripherals though)

  12. As am sure you know. Airsoft is a budget killer. Have wanted a camera for ages and now my load outs are complete (if that's possible) I would like to get one. Just want to make sure I don't waste my money on an over priced brand name.

i think when a camera's name becomes a verb, i think you know you can trust them :)

in another way, don't buy the cheap china shit, its not worth it, I had one and its crap quality. The hero is like £90 ish quid :)

  13. CQB AEG with some Foliage Green stuff. Still needs a small rail bit on the top of the handguard for a light, but other than that the setup works.

did you buy the rail from LWA or import from america? Very nice gun, impressive as always ;)

  14. Gutted for you., that's a lot of cash to lose. definitely don't gift anything more than £20 unless it actually is a gift. Some people are really sh*tty..

yes, when I was selling virtual gold, I had someone charge back for £2... no joke. Sorry for you man, try and message one of the mods, maybe they will lock his threads and you can talk before he scams anyone else
