The AK I just bought from Taiwangun was advertised at 420fps so I asked for it to be downgraded. It arrived yesterday with a chrono test showing 330-ish and a the original spring in the box.

Done! The CYMA arrived today, and damn but it looks and feels good. Can't wait to get out and skirmish now...

Airsofty goodness from Taiwangun - it's like Christmas all over again! Cyma AKM 048 Stti MK23 Stealth Assassin DE M56B Shotgun 2 x Cyma 500-round mags Pistol case Double gun bag. Just what I needed today, and particularly impressive as I ordered this last Friday, and it arrived at 8am this morning, including a spring downgrade on the AK. Great service from Taiwangun. Forgot to add: and even better, all for under £230!

Fake! The REAL Jack Reacher doesn't like the M4...

As with the others, Ian. Let me have your PayPal address and I'll sort out the transfer. -

I'll have one... (Just back from the pub which might explain the belligerent attitude 😜) -
Sorry about the slight derail, but it's probably an XM177 in the original picture. Issued 1966-7 so the timescales fit. Looks like a 30-round mag in the '16 too, which is unusual. The gun geek in me WILL break out every now and again

Looking to get myself an AK as a backup backup backup and currently 2 options leading the field: 1. APS ASK201A AK-74 (EBB) Or 2. Cyma 048 Any thoughts or recommendations from the great collective?
-
Let's be honest. Once you've bought the first one, it gets easier and easier to justify buying more guns. Get something cheap and cheerful to begin with and before long you'll have a veritable arsenal! My first was a CA M15A4 for which I paid the grand sum of £120 and 3 years later it still has a regular outing for CQB, despite the fact I have 5 others to choose from...

I was going to say TM, but it seems a bit redundant now...

Get a pistol. Pistols are cool. Happy to help!

Somehow, with something like that, I don't think he has to do much running...
-
And all becomes clear. Many thanks - that GBB AK I've been looking at for the past few weeks looks even more tempting...

Weird. When I choose a product on the website, add it to the basket and then go to checkout, it says postage is 139 Euro! Anybody else getting this, or should I take it personally?

Judge Dredd, anyone?

What do you bring as a snack when airsofting?

I know, but you gotta be authentic, right? -

Loads of Hershey bars. -
Are you right-handed? If so, get a left-handed paddle holster and put it in the small of your back. Really comfortable, and very easy access if you're in the prone position. I use a Fobus and can really recommend it.

A second TM 1911A1 with 2 mags - thank you CAm4!
-
That's the Winchester I was looking at, although I hadn't seen the gas version. Overall it's a bit short, so the barrel would need to be extended too, as would the wood. Interesting... ;-)
-
Look at the Fobus range. Works really well for both my 1911 an M9, and very cost-effective too.

http://www.airsoftarmoury.co.uk/acatalog/KA-M16-120rd-Mag-OD-5-Pack-1149.html 5 King Arms mags for £35 I use them myself and have no complaints. Unfortunately the ASG 10-pack for £45 is out of stock 'cos these are absolutely brilliant.

I've seen a couple of lever action Winchesters that look completely wrong, but wonder if they (i.e. the mechanism) could be converted. You'd have to create all the wood furniture from scratch, so it could be an interesting winter project!
