209s are brisant.  No way on earth I'd carry them banging around together.

Note too that they are all sized slightly differently and have different brisant ratings.  Any primer will cause permanent damage if it goes off in your hand or in a pocket with other primers.

No way I'd use a Tic Tac box etc.

Why not cut the plastic tray that they come in onto strips and cover with electrical tape?  Peel the tape as needed, and always use when wearing your eye pro.

You can stick one in a counterweight pouch and velcro to the back of the helmet, then run the airflow tubes internally (through the bump helmet vent holes) to the goggles.

    *Edit* Something like this:

Again, outsider view, but all I'm seeing is someone with bad feedback having a rant about how bad this forum is.
It casts you in a VERY bad light.

So much to unpack here. But I can't be arsed. This is an Airsoft forum - can we keep 'Left' and 'Right' politics out of it?

OK, so the rig is missing the back strap, without which it will be pretty useless. As he mentions in the listing you can buy the strap separately - Tactical kit currently have it for £12.99 plus shipping which comes to a total of £16.74. If you add that on then you'd be paying £191.75 for a second hand chest rig you can in fact buy new (and complete) from Tactical Kit for £195 plus shipping.

Well, if that's the all-in price for everything listed, that's a pretty good deal (under half retail price). I just think that the advert is worded poorly. I've asked the seller for clarification.

Don't get me wrong - 90% of LARPsofters or BBWarz players would be happy enough with a Viper or AliExpress knockoffs for a fraction of the price, but some get a chubby at the thought of gucci real-steel kit and are willing to pay the cost, which is fair enough.

If I had £90 burning a hole in my pocket to spunk on some kit (which I don't sadly 😭) - I would be tempted.

Welcome to my world. Believe me getting anything into the UK is much easier than the vast majority of other countries I ship to. Some boarder forces I've provided the same information time and time again but it has become apparent that if the same guy isn't "on the desk" the following day then you normally have to start at square one.

For transparency and interest I had a look at my own build cost (pictured below) vs what a Devgru could be.

    TM Socom - £465
    vs
TM Devgru - £660 (total level 10 upgrade cost with most expensive options picked £1862.53 total Rif included)

My level 10 build cost - for the Socom = £834.61 (minus the Rif itself but inclusive of labour and postage/expedite turn around in 2019)
Potential cost of a level 10 with most expensive options plus 72hr turn around would be £1202.53
Mags as you say are £25 new
Vortex seem to hold value considering the have an unlimited warranty which transfers irrespective of owner (or at least used to)
Chest rig doesn't look to be anything special by a long shot and the tracer as you say could be any brand so could vary in cost as well.

Definitely dreaming at that price, but stranger things have happened.

I'm guessing its a case of the BF following procedure and sending out the letter, rather than looking for a ukara number on the package or paperwork. I also doubt that many of the staff don't know what a ukara number or airsoft is

clumpyedge reacted to Rogerborg in Lets discuss the difference between cultures about guns
I'd hazard a guess that over 90% of Brits, particularly urbanites and women, wouldn't own a gun even if we could buy one over the counter in the corner shop, no questions asked. There's no real passion for increasing gun rights, it's more of a rearguard action to preserve the few that are left.

The UK still has some amount of hunting, but it's a niche activity, split between seasonal bird shoots by the land-owning upper classes, managed culling of deer and some wild sheep, pest control (a lot done with airguns rather than bang-guns) and a bit of poaching.  There are a few target shooting clubs, and recreational clay pigeon shooting centres.

That said, shotgun licensing remains "shall issue" in the UK.  You have to apply and pay for a licence, provide references, and have secure gun storage, but otherwise it's up to the local police force to find a reason to refuse.  Once you have a shotgun certificate you can buy as many smoothbores as you like, up to a 2" cannon, or (I believe) a 3-shell pump action.

This means that in practice, anyone who wants a shotgun for pest control, recreational shooting, or any other reason (just don't say home or self defence) can get one, yet only about 1% of adults do.  I'm actually surprised it's that high.  If you were to use a firearm for self or home defence in the UK, you should expect to find yourself facing murder or manslaughter charges, irrespective of the circumstances.  Conversely, I'm not aware of any UK police constable who has been convicted over shooting someone while on duty, even when they give their evidence in the form of song titles.

    Licensing figures: https://www.gov.uk/government/statistics/statistics-on-firearm-and-shotgun-certificates-england-and-wales-april-2020-to-march-2021/statistics-on-firearm-and-shotgun-certificates-england-and-wales-april-2020-to-march-2021

As at 31 March 2021, there were:
156,033 firearm certificates on issue, a 2% decrease
548,521 shotgun certificates on issue, a 3% decrease
    565,929 people held a firearm and/or a shotgun certificate, a 3% decrease of 20,422 since last year

In the year ending 31 March 2021, there were:
4,988 new applications for firearm certificates, of which 98% were granted and 2% were refused
10,901 new applications for shotgun certificates, of which 97% were granted and 3% were refused
2,566 new coterminous applications, of which 97% were granted and 3% were refused
306 firearms certificates were revoked – a decrease of 18% (-65) compared with the previous year and 0.2% of the total firearm certificates on issue
982 shotgun certificates were revoked – a decrease of 14% (-159) compared with the previous year and 0.2% of the total shotgun certificates on issue
Experimental statistics: 365 firearms and shotguns were reported as lost or stolen; of which, 126 were lost and 239 were stolen

Played at The Gaol on their Pistol and Shotgun night last night. First outing in quite a while for me and it was well worth getting back home at gone midnight. The site had changed a hell of a lot since I was last there, the players (albeit small numbers - 12 I think) were great and a real joy to play with. Certainly reinvigorated my enjoyment for playing and even better being pitch black and on a site as exciting as The Gaol.

In all the years I've been playing people have NEVER turned up like this to a game (that's not to say they don't but I certainly haven't seen it) I wore one once and as I say above the wrists seems to be the most sensible approach - I had both taped by the Marshal which I had no issues at all with.

I don't understand everyone wants to resemble a 70's porn stars mossy cleft than do anything even close to as interesting as the picture above because of the popularized swamp donkey gimp suit. Time and time again I notice that people seem to assume a ghillie is the must have for concealment when in actual fact airosfters are generally like a slightly dimmer version of a t-rex being that if you don't move chances are you wont get noticed if you have a decent solid colour or pattern on.
