  1. Con, I'm not entirely sure why you are a 'rep' for the BAC as you are so out of tune with what they have actually done and are currently doing. I highly doubt they are putting money in your pocket but they are 100% feeding you (and perhaps even themselves) absolute bullshit and you're lapping it up. Quite frankly mate, this is going to rub off on you – in fact it already has. The BAC is the brainchild of two desperate people that have zero prior experience in anything related, They've been winging it from day dot and have been lucky up until now. Save yourself looking like a complete moron. Quit.
  2. A few things have come of this realisation; they don't have the facilities to check or verify anything. In fact they rely solely on UKARA defectors and Skirmish Sites to verify their site membership/regular skirmish attendance. So basically the BAC does nothing other than charge you and give you a plastic bloody card as all the work is already done for them. In super short, if you are eligible to become BAC 'verified' – you already have a defense and can save yourself the £8 a year.
  3. Fair enough. I have used some cheap red dots now and well; I won't go back, ever. Every aspect of it is better to the nth degree plus it has a 8 year life on one AAA battery. I still wouldn't class it as overkill because the extra 'quality' isn't lost. Then again I suppose that's subjective too!
  4. I don't usually like to engage in an argument or discussion such as this but given I've had two people paint me as 'doing it wrong', here I go. I had the sight before I started airsoft. I'd need a fairly fucking good reason not to use it – the fact that I use high caps isn't one of them. Both comments are fairly silly things to say, if you had the sight or had the money to buy the sight (and it was indeed what you wanted) then why not use it? Using a red dot does not make me any less or more accurate that it would if I used my iron sights only. Also red dots are used primarily for faster targeting anyway. The reason I use high caps is because it simply means less magazines – you also make the assumption that lowcaps = realism = better. This whole sport is subjective and I don't see any pros or logic in your last sentence. Are you sure you are not being elitist or at least tieing 'high end gear' with people who want the full challenge of realism?
  5. Please enlighten me as to how the two are directly correlated?
  6. Here's mine! It's a tad on the basic side given it's my first but I put in a little effort with the SLR. Everyone seems to ask although I thought it was obvious. It's a real Aimpoint which is my only Gucci.
  7. I want to share http://www.tacticalgeartrade.co.uk/ – it's a US based company regardless of their domain extension. However they have a HUGE selection of replica gear for very cheap. I suspect if you put say, some of the rigs they sell through hell and back they may start to wear/tear quickly compared to the £200-400 counterparts. When I say quickly I reckon you will get loads of games out of the stuff. I'm still running a £33 chest rig from Amazon that I bought before starting Airsoft. Personally I won't spend hundreds on a complete rig because I change my mind all the time. People who say you get what you pay for – well that's entirely subjective and unique to what you want/need.
  8. I'm surprised about the amount of knife/sword owners in this thread! No gun owners though... Unless I've missed it. I'd use the family 12 gauge. Next door neighbor has a pump action too. I've also had my eye on a lovely Kukri blade, I have no reason to buy it other than to admire it in the flesh. If I had it I assume it'd be one of the best to use in this hypothetical scenario.
