Midweek question time! Battle of the bullpups: L85A2, TAR or FAMAS?

I agree England / the UK is pretty sh*t. Especially when we used to be big manufacturers and everything yet now there seems to be hardly any proper business or trade because we are so reliant on importing a load of stuff. I'm still sort of proud to be English and proud to be from Yorkshire too but I just hate how the country has gone down hill really, and the politics / more right wing Labour etc. I can say the Scandinavian countries are probably the best but as you say nowhere's p...

JustBBGuns have actually turned themselves around recently...

Yesterday, I ended up getting shot more in the back than the front. Wish some players would try to acquire targets better...

Someone replied to one of my comments on Jambwow's videos. I don't know why I bother giving advice sometimes... http://i.imgur.com/q1F7s2w.png

Jambwow wishes everyone a happy christmas:

of course...all those extra views he gets pushes his stats up and make him more likely to be seen thanks to YT recommendations. So yeah, he's probably laughing all the way to the bank and you muppets taking the piss. I fail (once again) to see why he gets so much free publicity from people that claim to hate him so much.

Based purely off my Facebook picture, my accomidation owners decided to search my room for "prohibited items" (IE: my guns). Thank f*ck I left them back home when I went down last weekend!

All you will need to do to set it up is get over a certain number of members. The more members you can actually get the better. Then when you complain about the rules at the accommodation, you are doing it as Captain of the University Airsoft club. See if Robert Gordons has an airsoft club, if not try and get them to set one up and then use the combined membership to get a local airsoft site to run a student game on Wed afternoons at a discounted rate.

Battlefield Hardline- not even once.

Someone rated me as 2 stars on my profile. I'm not that big a c***, am I?

The Fortress has banned "low quality BBs" which shatter on inpact. the two which are currently disallowed are Blasters and BULLDOG BBs.

Gas guns are not technically speaking pure CO2 or Propane propelled. They only expand to equalise the pressure with the air. They are also mixed with the air around it as doing so, just adjusting the "air" mixture content to majority co2/propane ballance. Thus, air powered.
The only possible way to get pure co2/propane power is shooting in a vacuum.
-
Its still the C02 canister you fill it with that is the main gas. As air is mainly nitrogen. So the main gas used to to make the gun cycle is CO2 it is therefore C02 powered. Anyway you have changed your arguement from the original point. Lets stay on the fact the website is wrong and agree they need a slap

Anyone else who codes knows how true this is http://i.imgur.com/Pesc8RQ.png

its true, i think thats a real problem. Schools want all of their students to get good grades and go off to uni. However for the majority of jobs such as builders and shop keepers... ect "old school" jobs which are a massive part of the economy. People that stop education and go onto them type of jobs are seen as failures in the school system i think thats wrong. Maybe its different at other schools but mine was like that, there is quite a lot of vocational colleges however teacher me...

and a lot of Romanian & Polish builders & plumbers too - must start plumbing at an earlier age than us. But us brits are a little lazy and clueless sometimes expecting stuff to come to us rather than go out and work for it. But dunno what the answer is but a balance of manual & educational/logic work/studying is best all round i reckon. Getting balance right is tricky

Back at school tomorrow. Kinda glad TBH

WEEKLY QUESTION TIME! Bullpups or more traditional (M16 style) rifles?
- Show previous comments 15 more

I usually prefer bullpups because they are nice and compact. Not bad for a CQB/mid range mix. Mag changing isn't much of a fuss for me personally, I've never used a bullpup but I tend to overstay my welcome behind cover whilst changing mag anyway, so I can allow time for a slightly longer reload and then some. Bullpup shotguns seem more practical aswell, especially if you single load your shells rather than use a mag because that's a faff about in the first place.

One month until I can legally buy a RIF. I get the feeling I won't be eating for the rest of December...

If your sight is insured then the fact they are not UKARA registered should not make a difference to you buying a RIF. As long as your a member of the site then you have a defence. Might just mean you would have to give the shop your membership number to the shop so that they confirm it with the site you play at.

bored? read through some of the comments on this video by *one of those sites with BB Guns in the name*

Just found out that "Gotham" starts on Channel 5 on the 13th October. Looks like I need to convince the guys in the flat that we need to get a TV Licence...

DadMail is the only mail service which is able to deliver to Aberdeen in a reasonably quick time. Delivery time using DadMail is every Wednesday at 10:14am directly outside of my flat, which is a lot faster than MumMail, which takes upwards of 1 month to deliver to Aberdeen. Both are more reliable than BroMail- which takes at least THREE months to get to my flat due to the BroMail deliveryman being completely unable to deliver using a car. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

£120 rifle, £75 pistol & a few spare mags for each? sounds like a good use of my money!
- Show previous comments 12 more

To be honest, the reason that I want the pistol is because I despise gas weaponry. My current pistol has let me down faaar to often to make me even consider a gas pistol for the forseeable future. I may be lucky and attain an extra £50 (exam results). I might be able to purchase a better rifle (ideas?)

Oh sh*t! JustBBGuns is selling the ICS L85A2 for the lowest price in the UK. I might actually HAVE to order from them...

Question of the week: G36 variants (C, K, MG etc.) or AK variants (47, 74, RPK/D etc)?
- Show previous comments 11 more
-
Cyma 28 range - anything but the C, 28A I own - chuck any battery in stock etc.... - the others mostly req stick battery again, pain if you got a scope mounted. Keep it simple and practical with just some subtle tweaks/touches is my general feeling, maybe more important than some "different" or odd looking variations.
-
The Bolt rifle is neither an AK nor an M4- it's an SR-47, an experimental rifle designed for US special forces which carry out operations behind enemy lines, where supply of 5.56 is difficult and AK mags & ammo is abundant.
Another factor is the gunshot sound- an AK sounds different to an M4 when fired, so if any locals heard M4 fire they'd tell their local Taliban unit. I believe there are only 6 SR-47s in existence, and 4 are in active service despite mechanical issues

might actually buy COD:AW. Reviews coming in strong so far. Anyone got experience with it yet?

Not sure how correct BBGuns4less 's explanation of hop-up is... http://i.imgur.com/PwhqJ2w.png

I think the golf ball thing has been tried before, the issue is that the dimples aren't large enough to actually make that much difference. The scale is just too small to make use of it properly.
Plus, adding dimples to the surface of a BB is probably going to make the hop less consistent because the contact area isn't going to be the same each time.
But anyway, considering they tried to make it sound so overly scientific, I don't understand how they failed to men...

Thank me later:
