First 3 all have a different reticle. Have a look on the vortex page to see what they look like. Target shooters will pick the reticle that matches the ammunition they use. So the marks accurately represent the correct bullet drop at range.

Air rifle shooters like 1/2 mildot reticles, As it gives a scale you can use with a range-finder. You will know from a table or program that a 45yrd shot needs 2.5mill dot holdover to hit on target ect. In the correct situation it's very useful, but not so much for airsoft.

The last one is a different reticle and it has longer eye relief. So the internals will be different.

Ahaha thanks, guess imma go for the more expensive scout version... or maybe this: https://www.uttings.co.uk/p123875-vortex-crossfire-ii-1-4x24-rifle-scope-cf2-31037/#.XCq26lyTKUl

  1. Hmmm, I wonder... if a gearbox can run on only 2 gears instead of 3. Might design a minimalist one.

      World domination AHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! !!! !!

  2. Sadly, I need a new scope. The Hawke's eye relief is just too short.

Vortex...eye relief amazing on the 1-6 Stike eagle and if your scope gets damaged/broke/smashed glass..they will replace it for free forever... :)  Have a butchers on youtube..very highly recommended.

  3. Jesus Christ .45s joule creep so damn much

Haha cant imagine. My sniper rifle has an adjustable bolt and I have to restrict the flow to the point where it's almost closed to just about achieve 2.3J with .45g. Meanwhile that is 400 fps on .2g.

  4. Whelp, lost faith in Airsoft-club. Ordered an m4 stock like two months ago, didn't come. Paypal disputed, no reply. Escalated, still no reply and today I finally got refund automatically from Paypal's judgement due to them being afk 😕

Well bugger ! exactly same situation with me back in the summer over a G&P M14 heat shield . Had thought at the time “just a glitch” but apparently not nd over the yrs bought a fair bit from them .

ye same, they were my goto for parts but not anymore

I did see but unfortunately I dont want to want a fabric around my head to support it

You can get those cloth/mesh ones for half the price on Fleabay , all I ever use unless I’ve got my skid lid on with a solid face piece .👍

If that's reference to my gear I do many setups which don't require a snood. like below. I also do it with a strap and other attachment setups with varying styles and coverages bespoke to your needs.

  6. There is an SR-2 Veresk going to be released! But, it's NPO:(

  7. Got my kwc makarov and it's pretty fucking cool :) We'll see how long it lasts.

Well, the gun is solid but the mags are trash af. Out of 4 capsules, only 2 properly worked and the other 2 didn't pierce properly. Gonna try sort that out. Or maybe it's the cartridge quality of the co2 i'm using (milbro).

  8. Supposed i'll keep the my Novekse and pimp it up some more, but i'm defo getting rid of the glock 100%, that brick is just beyond ugly despite the reliability.

  9. Small in-house 15m LSS sniper rifle test with 0.2g. I'd say satisfactory :D Can't wait to see what it does with .45s. 20181202_142854.thumb.jpg.3e2935ff33c3aaff699bbc77191c41c3.jpg

  10. How good is this grouping? Seems doggoshit. Gun was resting on a chair.20181130_222139.thumb.jpg.44c71b095fe7e6a41c2034061002c8f3.jpg

I dunno. Assuming its a GBB pistol rested on a chair leg, i'd say it was OK considering. Most people would put the pistol in a vice instead to gain a better idea.

At 10m that's pretty turd.  You should be looking at more like a 50p size group at that distance for a well set up gun.

  11. Eagerly waits for silverback mdr or an mpx :)

  12. Man, what co2 pistol has the most reliable mags? These WEs are just janky af

    1. Prisce

      Prisce

ASG CZ PO9 co2 mags are very good.

I'm looking at the secutor rudis range and they seem to be very well received. Other than that, the vfc ppq look enticing too but as it stands, probs gonna stick to the shitty we for now.

A buddy of mine has the Secutor Rudis. And he thoroughly loves it. I have been shot by it, and have shot it, it’s decent, but nothing to write home about.

  13. What fps do I roughly need on 0.2s to spit out 320 fps on .45g?

  14.  Would people be interested in a redesigned glock hop up chamber that works better?

  15. I'M SOOO TEMPTED: https://shop.ehobbyasia.com/ay-a338-keymod-spring-sniper-rifle-short-black.html

Na, i just did some research and at 4.5kg with that sort of feeding mechanism, probably not worth. Checking out some other options on the huge sale atm, more specifically the lct sr3

  16. any ideas on commercial 3d printing costs? kinda wanna design stuff and print them out

      Hi.

Your best bet to print in metal is shapeways. You can upload the stl and get the cost.

I’ve also been looking into this to make a TA648 housing in which to fit a standard 4x32 ACOG for a DMR.

  17. wow, have not heard of the brand "TSD" in a while...

  18. Got my MDT LSS :D Gonna have fun messing with this thing

  19. What's a good lightweight sniper rifle scope?

You want the higher ones. Low profile ones might not let you mount the scope.

Once you have a working set of higher ones you can start to mess about finding lower ones having measured the gap. Taking the guess work out of it. Nothing worse than going too low.

Higher ones will also help with that dyei4 mask in your profile! Again going to low will mean you have to bring the rifle up higher to the eye. It's generally easier to have the scope higher and the adjustable butt plate extended down to make  your sighting position as natural and comfortable as possible. It'll improve your aim because everything will be working with your body shape rather than you having to contort to the gun.

      In woodland I’d definitely suggest a 40 objective over a 32.

The Front element size means nothing. You have to look at the FOV values.

The Curve of the front element will give you more field of view not the size of the glass. A larger element may give better light transfer but only on a decent scope.

Looking at a static point 100M away the area you will see through each scope.

      The 2-7x32 has 15.5M at 2x and 4.7M at 7x.
      The 3x9x40 has 13M at 3x and 4.2M at 9x.

A different brand vortex also do a 3x9x40.
It only has 10.4M at 3x and 3.8M at 9x. Flatter front element.

Vortex also do a 3-9x50. Larger front element
It has even less FOV. 9.8M at 3x and 3.9M at 9x.

It's not a clear cut solution to just think more glass is better. Never has been. The disadvantage of a more curved front element is distortion at the field edges. However that only has a major effect if you need to use the full scope for a holdover. We don't have the range in airsoft to care about this.

Light transmission is a factor, but technology has pushed glass manufacture to a point where even cheap lenses can have clear glass with good light transmission. Long gone are the days of dark scopes because you couldn't afford premium glass.

Flatter elements are better for parallax adjustment for range finding. They give better target separation so you can use the scope as a more effective range finder provided you know the size of the object you are shooting at. Again very useful for target shooters and snipers since they operate against targets of know size. And can use a conversion table of size, zoom and parallax to work out holdovers for a killing shot.

  20. I am a little confused: when I use the maple leaf glock hop up, gun fires at 290 fps with minimal hop, but with the stock we hop up, it fires 350 avg... gonna test more
