Says Top Tech on the box. Is there a huge difference between the two? I did see the Gen2 models were out from your post but I think it was already too late to take a look and change my purchase. Either way I've played with it this morning and its freakin sweet The fire selector pokes my hand a bit sometimes but I use gloves, so that helps.

I was wondering when you was going to catch on to this, Ed.
I would be interested but I'm very limited on time these days. And its quite a distance for me to travel even though I am on the border between Northamptonshire and Warwickshire.
    Maybe one day!

The next airsoft skirmish at Special Ops seems to be on the 6th August. I will be going along to that. I will post a picture of my loadout once I have finished it (Currently attaching my head gear into an all-in-one unit) so people can find me.

Funny, I was just watching doctor who, Raggedy Man!

I just go tback from the Masters of Rock festival in the Czech Republic but I do plan on checking out special ops airsoft within the next week or two. Didn't realise the site was open on a thursday! But I have all of my own kit, although I am putting the finishing touches on my head protection. I'll let you know when I am going.

I saw Special Ops Airsoft. I wonder if it's any good as it looks quite small and restrictive. Worth a try though. Should be easy enough to go to three times to get my UKARA defence back. I will check out the Outpost as well. Thanks for the suggestion!

Since I am going to be rejoining the world of airsoft I am in the process of updating my loadout to suit both my tastes and my size (since I have grown a few inches wider in the last 2 years... On the bright side at the start of the year I was a 38-39 waist, and I have gotten it under control and back down to 36).

    On order are:
RTC US M65 Style Combat Cargo Trousers - Multicam - £19.95
Generic Half Face Mesh Guard - £8
PJ Type Fast Helmet - £23.80
Smith Optics OTW Goggles Field Kit - About £30 (from USA)

I am a little worried about the goggles as I do not want them to fog up, but I think I can modify them to get some decent airflow and get rid of the problem. I have yet to buy a Multicam UBACS. I also need to swap out my M1911 Serpa Holster for a PX4 holster. And I would also like another primary, maybe a M416. But these are for later down the line.

EDIT: I have changed my mind about the primary. I have fallen in love with the TM Scar-L EBBR... It's so beautiful and sounds like a badass.

Here is my VERY late xmas present (to myself). The beautiful Tokyo Marui PX4 Custom. My god this is such a fun side-arm! I know this is obvious but in terms of handling, looks and being awesome; this blows my WE1911 out of the water! I will do a review tomorrow or something.

If anyone is getting rid of a PX4 serpa I'll gladly take it off your hands

I was just 45 and I'm on 3 AEG';s & 1 pistol (+1 2 plastic 1/2 arses that are best ignored). I've only spent a wallet-stinger on 1 of them though and that's the same with my loadouts - bit at a time, except the RICAS I bought recently, which was 2nd hand and cheap by a lot of your standards @£65.10 inc P&P and the various pouches I'm planning to get will have to trickle in...

So it's not just teens, TM. I'm not going to jump on the rich-kid bash either. If my parents had had more money than they did and my dad wasn't as tight as a duck's arse under water (and airsoft had been invented), I'd have loved a whole gunroom full of choice. However, something I remember about a few kids I knew whose parents were minted (I went to a good school) was that their attitude towards cool possessions was definitely different to my own.

For instance, scientific calculators had recently become available to the great unwashed and word had come down from on high that henceforth all calculators except those which were programmable would be allowed in exams. Programmable? Pro-fcuking-grammable? Well, back then t'internet was still a twinkle in Tim's eye, so finding out what one of those was wasn't that easy. But it was an intellectual exercise anyway, because, for my close friends and I, the price was so prohibitive that it just didn't matter what they could do.

It took me so long to save for a bog standard Texas Instruments scientific calc that, by the time I had it, Casio had brought out a range of programmable ones which would have merely taken a few months more saving for me to buy. Anyway, there would have been no point, since I couldn't have used it in exams, and so, despite it's lack of even so minor a bell/whistle as solar panels, I loved that T120 and knew how to use all its functions except those for statistics, indeed that i can remember the name 31yrs later, even though the maths has largely fled, is testament to how much it meant to me.

The thing is, without consciously thinking it, I knew that that calculator would be the only one I would ever have for the medium-term foreseeable future. There were other kids I knew who had several within a fairly short time and, except for one lad, none of them did more than scratch the surface of their machines' capabilities. They were just what we now call bling. To be fair though, a person need not be particularly arsewanking to be shackled to that treadmill. I mean, how many people have you met whose car/s cost considerably more than their transport requirements actually merit, who also must to work like dogs to pay for it/them, so that in any spare time they have when, in theory, they might take a vehicle out for no other reason than the pleasure of driving country roads, they are too knackered to do anything of the kind?

You actually managed to get a sale from the UK branch? I'm still waiting on my second reply from them. After I told them that their TM PX4 is £40 overpriced they don't seem to want to talk to me
