  1. I had two 9.6V NiMH batteries that I use in my G&G MP5 but I haven't actually skirmished for about 2 years. I went to test them after leaving them on charge (with a really cheap charger to be fair) for a night and testing it just before skirmish I found they were pretty dead. I could not even get one shot out of the thing! Very sad I had to skip the skirmish that was supposed to be my glorious return to the field. Turns out it was just a balls charger and I got an 8.4V battery as a backup now.

  2. Funny, I was just watching doctor who, Raggedy Man!

I just go tback from the Masters of Rock festival in the Czech Republic but I do plan on checking out special ops airsoft within the next week or two. Didn't realise the site was open on a thursday! But I have all of my own kit, although I am putting the finishing touches on my head protection. I'll let you know when I am going.

  3. Since I am going to be rejoining the world of airsoft I am in the process of updating my loadout to suit both my tastes and my size (since I have grown a few inches wider in the last 2 years... On the bright side at the start of the year I was a 38-39 waist, and I have gotten it under control and back down to 36).

    On order are:

RTC US M65 Style Combat Cargo Trousers - Multicam - £19.95

Generic Half Face Mesh Guard - £8

PJ Type Fast Helmet - £23.80

Smith Optics OTW Goggles Field Kit - About £30 (from USA)

I am a little worried about the goggles as I do not want them to fog up, but I think I can modify them to get some decent airflow and get rid of the problem. I have yet to buy a Multicam UBACS. I also need to swap out my M1911 Serpa Holster for a PX4 holster. And I would also like another primary, maybe a M416. But these are for later down the line.

EDIT: I have changed my mind about the primary. I have fallen in love with the TM Scar-L EBBR... It's so beautiful and sounds like a badass.

  4. In a CQC game I shot a guy about 15-20m away. I was sure I tagged him but I never heard him shout "hit" or put his hand up. So I kept firing thinking he was a cheater.

Turns out I just couldn't see his raised arm because it was hidden by a tree... He was not a happy man and I still feel a little bad about emptying half a magazine into him.

  5. Hi all! It's been a while since I have come here. Due to various reasons I ducked out of airsoft for a while but the whole time I always wanted to keep going, and now I seem to be in a position to do so.

I recently moved to Milton Keynes for work so I was wondering if anyone knows what the airsoft scene is like around Buckinghamshire? And if anybody lives close by then let me know if you fancy a pint down the local. Will be good to have an airsoft buddy to go and skirmish with.

Hope the forum has been well in my absence (and it looks like it has been)

  6. I finally finished my arrangement/music video for Battlefield 4. I do something music related to battlefield every time a new game comes out. It's kinda my tradition. A young tradition, only been in effect since BF3, but a tradition nonetheless.

    Anyways, enjoy :)

Oh, also I do think BF4 will be more like BF3.75 but I'm not jumping on the hate train until I've put at least 24 hours into the game ah ha. Still excited about it. More excited about Bad Company 3 or 2143 though, if they get made.

  7. Has anybody been playing End Game on PS3 yet? I don't think I have access to it as I am a PC player but I probably won't be playing it much anyways. I recently started playing Bad Company 2 again and MY GOD! It is 1000x more fun than BF3. Full server with a fun squad = pure win. Seriously the laughs Ive had after coming back to BC2 is just immense. Technically BF3 is a better game. Visuals, weapon mechanics and movement (but I still get stuck on a single brick a lot) but BC2 just has my heart for one of the best FPS games every made. Plus it has better weapon sounds. Especially the F2K. Love that lightning fast sound!

I will post my thoughts on End Game when I get around to playing it :)

  8. Happy to review once I get 5 mins with it :)

Its really for wife (and my daughter who also after it) I want to get wife out airsofting but she "Doesn't like guns", so a purple one is a good back door since its not fitting her definition of a "Gun". Wont try to understand, if I can get her out plinking I am hopeful it will grow on her and I will get slack to buy more toys. Hehe... So on that front it a winner already.

Its pricey compared to the Hong Kong price (coming on double) but it had to be purple so what choice does one have. Redwolf HK are out of stock anyway, but luckily the UK arm had some. Total cost was just over the £100 mark for gun with mag + £9 postage from Redwolf UK.

You actually managed to get a sale from the UK branch? I'm still waiting on my second reply from them. After I told them that their TM PX4 is £40 overpriced they don't seem to want to talk to me :D

  9. No kidding. What do you think of Binatone stuff? I had a headphone amp once... had being the operative word.

As in the communications stuff? Never used them. I'm less of the internal hardware audio engineer and more of the digital kind. Recording, mixing, mastering, audio restoration and such. I dabble in acoustics now and again too :)

Anyways on topic my SERPA 1911 holster is here! Only problem is the dropleg platform is not =/ I need to buy a decent holo scope next.

  10. If you can do it for free then try it! I also use DXTory for recording PC footage. It allows me to split my audio too. It works especially well with my Tritton AX Pros, which has its own communications channel. So I can split my channels between game/teamspeak/mic. It's awesome to have that amount of control. Doesn't take up as much space as FRAPS too, and you can customize it so much. It's worth the money, i guarantee it.

Speaking of which, here's a new gameplay video I uploaded last night :) It's kinda long though:

  11. @Airsoft-Ed

Weeeell it's rather expensive to record console games. I used to do it with a Hauppagge HD-PVR. And they're not cheap! It's basically a splitter which sends the video and audio to your PC as well as your monitor. So unless you do it often, I don't recommend investing in such equipment :P

  12. If you open it to public then everybody would just be a sniper with 12x... It would make for great "Ghost" gametype but I doubt the game would finish with the exact same players who joined in at the start, due to high ticket count.

But if it's just for yourself and friends/people you invite then it could work. I've never rented a server on BF3 xbox before though. It's quite possible on PC but xbox I have no idea. I sold my xbox copy anyways. If you go ahead with it, post some footage for us. I want to see how the project pans out :)
