I saw a video the other day, one of the lads from Land Warrior was goofing around with one, looks like it was on our last game day (typically I wasn’t there)
No doubt the materials will be superb, but I’m always dubious when a manufacturer steps away from a technology they are known for, ie moving to gbb’s when they have a history of decent aeg’s exclusively 
Time will tell though, I mean even Ghk couldn’t really pull off their first Glock model

So I picked up a very cheap brand new ICS MP5 off these here forums - just because I've never owned an MP5 in the last 16 or so years I've been playing:

Been buying bits of kit off AliExpress lately - namely a Spiritus 'Thing 2' clone for my cheapo Viper VX chest rig which arrived a couple of weeks ago, and yesterday a zipper top for the front rig pouch, a velcro admin pouch and a velcro vented pad.
 



 
Gotta say, everything I've been ordering from AliExpress lately has been arriving in about 10 days, and the quality of the kit is more than good enough for LARPsoft or BBWarz.

Well. First new kit brought in well over 7/8 years. 

Set myself up with what I’m going to try to narrow down to be a mid war marine impression. Long way removed from my usual Russian kits but fancied a change and something I’d not done before.
 
Everything is repro for the time being and chances are I’ll just swap a pouch a month or there abouts until at least the webbing is original. 
 
Just need to get it dirty & add my own flair to it now 

It has only just shipped from Asia. I doubt you can switch off. I will probably just cut the traces to the LEDs that make this happen. 
 
I have a standard Xcortech X301 which is auto off/on and battery life is fine. 

So got myself a dummy Peq15 for the look

Thats it in a nutshell.

I'd have the separating lines of tan still there (though thinner than most of the others), it was just easier to use Paint.Net's Re-Colour feature to slap it together quickly.

As for an overcoat... yes I could get a translucent black or brown and cover the whole thing to tone it down... so that's a good idea and I'll think about that too

Edit:  Here's a pic with everything in place, all the tape off, most of the annoying overruns fixed... and in natural light.  
I've got a skirmish on Saturday, I'm going to play that game with it as-is, see how it fits in / sticks out like a sore thumb at the site.


 
I have to say the greens and browns come out a lot better in the sunlight, I'm feeling a bit more content with it now
 

Small update, Warrior fast pouch on the FRV belt so I can run rifle left handed, pistol right handed. Helikon grey shirt dyed dark ranger green with Dylon Yellow and an Inforce WML on the MWS 👍

Would appear being off sick from work really does set off the ‘idle hands’ syndrome , been playing around with the 177 AGAIN ! 🤦‍♂️

Some AR builds I've finished in the last year or so.  If I went by my usual social media schedule I'd end up not posting them for a couple of years which feels a waste so just overviews for now and I'll post more later.

Got my handguard fitted now and the space for the battery created

Got this second hand for a very low price. Firesupport used to do this as a custom option. Its a tm recoil ak102 with lct furniture and a modified ak hop unit to allow the use of regular ak mags. It needs a new selector plate and a few screws here and there but otherwise seems in very good nick. And at the end of the day it cost me little enough that I can probably flog the lct furniture and get most of my money back!

Picked up a absolutely minty fresh M2 red dot over on the mong for not a lot of beer tokens think it tops of the XM perfectly . 👍

Im excited to have this together and my Mrs just looks worried when I try to show her - more than understanding how awesome I think it is lol. (Which is fair enough)

I don’t have the CC lower, I honestly just can’t face getting the gearbox out again, I had to do it about 3 times because I had to learn as I went. 
 
when something explodes and I need to replace the gears or whatever then I’ll burn some more cash doing that last bit, but for now just want to enjoy using it. 
 
I get zero single shot lockup, this was either the new motor or Titan battery, did both at once after lots of single shot lockup, so it was one of those or a combination. I did not need the MOSFET.
 
Not looking for anything other than just showing off because I’m very very happy and can’t wait to use it.
