  1. HELP! I've lost the spring for the top side BB catch thing(?) on one of my PMAGs. Where can I get a replacement?

At the moment I'm thinking "No, I neeeeeed all of them", but I'm a mag down either way, might as well be one of my crappier mags. I am worried that they're not going to fit either though.

I bet £1 they will fit

Try the spring from a lighter.

A gas lighter that has a flint wheel.

  2. Is there a difference between fog on one's eyepro, and moisture on one's eyepro? I never seem to get that type of fog which clears up with sufficient airflow - you know, the type that if it's on a car window, you can write rude words on it with your finger. The "fog" that appears on my eyepro is more akin to moisture - I can see right through it, but my vision is all distorted (so just as crippling).

Am I tackling the wrong problem here? Am I special? Or stupid? I've tried using Fog Stop, Muc-Off anti-fog spray, fan-assisted shooting glasses, and nothing seems to stop this moisture-fog from showing up and needing a wipe.

    It's all so tiresome.

You can't really use too much anti-fog but it only works up to a point.

I drilled lots of holes in my FMA Fast helmet.  Helps a bit but on hotter days I use a baseball cap

As Per Mr Helmet - my Anti Fog fanned goggles are great when it is just the fogging - I also augment them with MuckOff.  The problem arises when my overhanging Neanderbrow gets saturated with sweat and it literally pours down the lenses through contact from the eyebrows.  I have just invested in some headbands to see if it helps at least divert the liquid away.

Matters are not helped by me being overweight, overloaded (full MkiV Osprey kit) and growing my hair long.

I used to have insane fogging issues, tried cat crap, muck off etc but nothing really did the trick properly until I just ended up biting the bullet and getting the full novritsch anti fog setup alongside the rx lens inserts - now I don't even need to coat either my goggles or inserts with anti-fog as the unit on nearly full whack is enough to give me mostly clear vision. Best decision I've ever made - although maybe it's not a one-size fits all affair as I just run a boonie rather than a full helmet (still use a full balaclava though)

  3. Aw cock. I forgot that Double Eagle's crappy fire control mosfet drains batteries. FFS. Perfectly good lipo ruined.

Classic, I've had two of mine inflate like a lifeboat because of this exact situation lmao

You leave the batteries plugged in??? 😲

Not on purpose but it happens sometimes after a game day, you unplug the batteries out of all of your other guns and completely forget about the little UTR in the case 🙃

  4. Best P226 out there?

  5. Are Revision anti-fog wipes supposed to be... dry?

They have a nano-particle infused into the material.. Yes it's a dry wipe.   I handed out 1/2 a dozen today to people who were misting up badly.... Nothing worse than trying to play airsoft and you can't see.  Many years ago a bloke from the RAF Regiment was @ out site and handed me wipe... I have been using them ever since... :)

Can confirm mine come out of the packet bone dry and leave no visual residue on the lens, yet somehow keep me more or less mist free all day.

    4. MrTea

      MrTea

Mine are always bone dry, no residue or oiliness. I breathe on my lens to mist it up and then use the wipes on it.

  6. First game with my new DE M906C (thanks @RostokMcSpoons). First impressions are great. Chrono'd bang on 300FPS on 0.25g with remarkable consistency for "a chinese gun", and suddenly I have more range than I know what to do with. Clearly my 2010s-era common knowledge on airsoft brands and QC needs a big fat update!

  7. Urghhhhh my UKARA number has expired/lapsed or something. What do I do?

  8. Imagine you're starting a new airsoft site. What would you get for rental rifles?

Whatever you pick, it would have to be:

    - Good value.

    - Sturdy enough to withstand new and inexperienced players.

    - Average performance and range with great consistency.

    - Extremely reliable.

-Built well enough to not require fussing over and servicing every day.

    - Ideally, just works straight out of the box.

    What would you pick?

(Yes, this is a roundabout way of saying I'm in the market for a new gun and I need advice lol)

I'd go with the JG G36 too, I think it would be worth trying to figure out if you can bulk buy any specific high cap mags that are cheap and fairly reliable as that was the only issue I had when renting them.

    3. Speedbird_666

      Speedbird_666

At one point Ground Zero were handing out G&G GEC36s as their site guns. Pretty expensive way of equipping your site (at current prices), but they were best buds with G&G 'back in the day' so I assume they got them cheap. Rock solid G36 variant- seemed to be tougher than the indomitable JG G36.

How come Double Eagle hasn't been mentioned?

  9. What amperage should I charge my lipo batteries at?

    Battery = li-po, 1300mAh, 7.4v, 25C, 8Wh

    Charger = Turingy Accucell 6.

I read recently the suggestion that its better to charge lipos slower, but I need to balance that against getting them charged in time for tomorrow! Any advice?

Thank you! 1.3amps it is, cheers for your help.

    3. SeanM

      SeanM

Using the method Adolf explained to find out what amp to charge the battery at is the general rule of thumb mate. If you have a battery that is 1450 Mah for example it will be 1.45 amp. However you can't usually go up in .5 so I always tend to keep mine under to be safe so I charge my 1450 Mah lipos at 1.4 amps and my 1300 at 1.3 👍🏼... Make sure you're using a decent smart charge intended for lipos and be sure to select "balance charge" and have the little white plug on your battery connected to the charger.

I always charge at 1A, takes longer but makes sure I don't kill the battery :)

  10. Should I pull out the foam from my Desert Locust goggles?

      If it restricts airflow...yes

      If it keeps out bbs....no

I removed the foam from my Revision Bullet Ant goggles and they never steamed up.

  11. Any recommendations for 7.4v M4 buffer tube LiPo batteries? The Perun manual says a high "C" rating is best.

  12. Why is everyone and their dog selling AR-9s now? Seems to be the new ubiquitous "thing".

@Druid799 I haven't had any problems with supply. Bought 1000 three weeks ago - has something happened recently to supply? I'd have bought more if I was allowed, but 1200's my limit 😞

    3. Herrgh

      Herrgh

God I hope so. But I doubt it. Basically chucked out every stock G&P part and had a new gearbox built from the ground up. I don't think he had to fight it too much so it probably won't get a video. :(

  14. My rare flak vest has been bid on ebay, with 1.5 days remaining, so if you're interested get over there!

God, it's be great to get a video out of it, but I don't think it's controversial enough. Just another bog standard M4 AEG. Positively boring. Had a little bit of stars-in-me-eyes when I actually met him though. Very cool dude.
