    Hmm, must be something I've done wrong twice 😂 I think I'll try the mosfet in my E&L instead once I get the hop sorted, as I put the specna gearbox with the make gun go brrrrt parts into the rpk and it ran flawlessly at Splatoon Sunday (Although a few complaints about full auto, even though it's an lmg...)

    Most likely! Putting an aster into a Cyma V3 was as smooth as butter, same as the Specna V3 & Double Bell. Very odd

    Not that I can see with my visible eye, and it was brand new out of the box - Same for the mosfet in the LCT VSS. I’ve fitted numerous GATE mosfets into V2’s and V3’s and I’ve only ever had this happen twice now - Both being LCT V3 (I guess the VSS is technically a V3) boxes

    Removed the aster, reassembled the gearbox, nozzle is running as it should back up to 330 ish fps (.2g) The same thing happened with my LCT VSS thinking back, I fitted a mosfet and the nozzle wouldn’t go 100% into the chamber (Fixed that by getting a longer nozzle though)… Strange

    E&L AK105 still shooting up to the sky with the new barrel, bucking and nub. Guessing dodgy hop unit... Any recommendations for a solid, reasonably priced ak hop unit? 👀

      Sadly the Specna one worked but had no way of securing it to the gearbox. Didn’t get the chance to test if bb’s still went skyward but I’ve been eyeing up the Begadi one that’s made for E&L. I’m absolutely in love with their G36 one!

      Can't go wrong with a Begadi, it's just getting them over here which is the issue really (and the price!)

      The Begadi unit is excellent and delivery is rapid; however, they are not cheap.

      The quality of the Combat Union ones has dropped significantly over the years and I would not buy one anyway as to do so would be making an, admittedly tiny, contribution to funding Putin's war in Ukraine.

    There's a possibility! I made sure the nozzle was fully extended when I put the hop up in, and as soon as it fired once it went back to only being half in/out. I tried my best to get it all back as it came out as there was no issues with it prior to opening it up. Really I just wanted to mosfet it, as it'll be under a lot of full auto fire and figured better safe than sorry.

    Aren't they a rubber bladder inside of the fabric? I would assume the BB would lose most of its energy from the impact on the fabric to be honest?

    Stuck another gearbox into it so it’s useable for tomorrow, and will deep dive it Monday. No doubt I’ve misaligned it 😂

    Fitted a gate aster to my LCT RPK, before the mosfet I was getting a solid 330-340 fps on .2g BB’s. After fitting the aster, I’m getting 250 fps on .2g BB’s. I noticed that the nozzle doesn’t seem to be fully meeting the hop unit and I’m not sure what I may have done to cause this? IMG_5974.mov

      To be fair, the mosfet went in with no issues what so ever... However, I've dropped nearly 100 fps since putting it in, and all I fitted was the mosfet. The nozzle is only returning half way into the hop chamber and i'm thinking that's the issue - However, unsure of why. Prior to the mosfet I was getting 340ish fps on .2g bb's... 😬

    Remove the muzzle and test. If it’s going off to the left/right still, possibly your inner barrel is bent. If it’s fine with the muzzle device off, possibly your threads bad or the muzzle device itself.

From what I’ve experienced, the 4 sites I’ve had ukara registered at throughout the years has always automatically renewed it for me as a regular. Might be worth contacting your regular site and asking if they’d be happy to renew it for you, and explain your circumstances of not being able to play every month to them 🤙🏻

    Popped into my local shop to ask about some AK mags, got shown the LCT catalog… Left with an order for an LCT RPK-74, Molot furniture and a drum mag for said RPK… 🤤

    All of that work, swearing and paint just to fit a handguard 🤣 Truthfully now, my Ares outer with S&T gearbox (And a bunch of fancy parts) is great - Obviously Fitting a JG gearbox into the S&T is as simple as can be too, it’s just needs the little tab removed off the back of the JG gearbox iirc
