Ironically the A2 stock is a LOT rarer, which is great and all but it would have been nicer to get the A1 I ordered 😂 It does give me an excuse to build a GBB M16A2 next though 👀

depends what you mean, was after a v3 QD gearbox for ages and couldn't find one. did the build with a standard gearbox then a QD one pops up

I have about three half assed projects on the go at any one time all because I started down one path and got distracted by another while I was researching the right parts (SR25, I'm looking at you).

Plus all the gear I bought because there's a loadout I absolutely have to do and never quite got around to finding just the right shade of tan for the compass pouch so it's been abandoned (there's a chest rig in the classifieds that will attest to this).

Just realised I have a couple of 'builds' or 'rattlecan' jobs on the go just now, the MP5 you sold me is uncaracteristically patiently waiting on a claw mount with a 3-4 month lead time, I already have the SL-20 & will get a sleave for it when the mount arrives, I have a G36C two-tone I'm planning a flecktarn style rattlecan paintjob in progress, Mk18 mod1 recently finished (was only waiting on attachments), new hop up unit ready to fit into my SL8/9 but not done it yet, C7 needing repainted coz the last one I did was crap, an M14 I'll rattlecan into a blackhawk down clone (aimpoint clone required) & thinking I should put some kit I'll prob never use up for sale in the classifieds...

Lots of plans & they'll maybe get done within the next 6 months. (never in a rush & lazy)

Plumbers tape and brute force to fit a CCW barrel extension onto a CW thread 💪

I only managed to get it 50% on, but it sits lower than the extensions I bought. Also fitted the correct gas block and flash hider which really makes it look gorgeous now!

Awesome build, very jealous. I'll re-body my G36 at some point with something less creaky because I want to try recreating something similar to this eventually, the ACR stock goes tremendous



 

Hey bud, I switched the stock out from one of my other models. The A4 uses the standard IDZ stock. It’s an S&T stock which went on perfectly. I got it originally from bespoke but they only have tan now. 
 

I’m trying to source the concaved version as it’s more kosher to the build but the S&T one I have on my C doesn’t lock into place at all. It’s a nightmare 😂

It does my nut in having the matte nylon of the Specna stuff (hensolt carry handle scope/dot, KV stock) with the shiny squeaky externals of a JG that's fuck knows how old lol, honestly scared to buy any more stuff for the thing as I've pumped enough money into it (what started as 'hm i'll see if i can get this amp draw issue fixed it's overheating' turned into 'hm let's send it to neg down south and spend 300 quid on a second hand JG I bought off used airsoft) lmao

And now it's playing silly buggers and skips half the rounds in the mag intermitently, even on 7.4 : (

I know the pain. I have 4 JG’s from varying years, they all have their own issues. The KA4 was an ares/Umarex I got from here, wanted to replace the burst fire so tried an S&T gearbox that worked fine but couldn’t take a gate titan. Stuck an old gen (No QSC etc) JG gearbox into it after retrofitting and then I’ve had nothing but issues since 😅 The new Lonex hop up works, the titan works (Although the selector plate is a pain in the rear as there’s no instructions on where to put the white sticker for a g36), but the ares lower doesn’t like the JG gearbox and putting the selector too far on safe locks it up, or putting it too far on auto causes the selector plate to slide off of the gearbox. It’s truly a nightmare I wish I never started BUT it’s going to look so good once the new parts I got are fitted (Hopefully a picture tomorrow with it all fitted the day before I take it out 🤞🏻)

I've got a WE one which I can take a pic of. But no idea if the VFC would be the same.

Hey Nick, thanks. Got a WE myself and sadly it doesn't take the ultima handguards. I managed to find a video where somebody did showcase it with the rail off, and it has the sides filled in (Which means no giant gap when fitting the new gen H-Key rail)

I can't see a proper gas semi-auto benelli m4 happening without it either being shell-ejecting or non blowback unless the adderall crackheads over at marui manage to adapt and cram their saiga system into it somehow, and that sounds like a expensive nightmare waiting to happen lol

My boss has one , it's pretty fragile and certainly doesn't perform great . It sits on his desk

If it's built to the same spec as the Zhongren PEQ-15, it would use a 2.5mm pin.

I have 2, a second hand XM177E2 I bought from a guy in the Netherlands and also a Model 602 I had custom ordered from VT directly. I live in the UK and had no problems getting either of them shipped to the UK. I've heard horror stories from before and during covid but since then, at least for me I got them both within a week or 2 of them getting shipped out.
Long story short: the hefty price tag is for the highest quality replica of a real AR-15 with the best recoil you'll ever experience. All depends if its worth it to you spending the money or not. There isn't much information out there to go by in terms of research but I will point you in the direction of Catgut of Explosive Enterprises. He has done extensive experimenting and custom work on the Vipertech platform and is probably the best source of info regarding them. Start with this video and work though the rest of his videos and you'll get a good idea of the kind of thing you're getting into.

Thanks @Arrtee99 For the video. I had a WE M16A1 but it was pretty… lacklustre. The VT is just a little over the cost of a deactivated A1 just with more benefits. As I’d be using it for airsoft & reenactment it’ll be perfect!

I believe these have metal bodies but depends on what metal you want, which version, and how much you want to pay

I have an E&C m16/XM16 that's not 100% accurate. It has an no forward assist but it has the fenced A1 lower. I'm not super fussed about historical accuracy but it would have been nice! No trades either unfortunately. Just need to assemble the rest of the kit now!

Cold war stuff is so underrated! @JinxDuh Does your pistol grip have really square edges where it meets the trigger guard? Mine does and it gets a bit sore after a while
