  1. I have a SA E-07! So maybe in a couple of years and £200 later mine might look like yours! The only modification so far is a torch and the P226 so that it has a companion!
  2. Left field suggestion; is there a conversion kit to make it into something ridiculous like a 40K space marine bolter?
  3. Ahh it’s an amplifier! I am a big fan of an amplifier, I have one on my M4. The chrome looks beautiful mate, I have never seen a RIF like it. If you ever decide to sell it please make me your first port of call...
  4. Cheers team. Target identified and PayPal engaged 👍 Also @Alimcd nice humble-brag in that video with the RIF in the background! That is the prettiest AEG I have ever seen. Chrome silencer and chrome buffer tube is 😍
  5. Ah mate that’s brilliant. Definitely sold on the warrior. Do you know anywhere that stock it that isn’t £66? (Because that is nearly as much as I paid for the RIF second hand!)
  6. This the one?? Just looks like that is going to pop out with any movement at all! Does he carry that on a chest rig?
  7. My thoughts at the moment are to mount a pistol on the front of the mag holster molle because I think in a pinch that’s where my hand will go automatically to draw it rather than to my right leg. I think that @concretesnail’s suggestion of a belt patch to add some more rig space is a good on and means I can put mags on my left side (and maybe have space for a grenade pouch). The consensus does seem to be against a cordura holster and to get a solid one which I will definitely take onboard if I can find a cheap-ish one that isn’t just going to fall to bits. Is a warrior holster a fabric one? What pistol does your brother run? Does it have a mag release in the same similar place to a 226? (I am having nightmares about losing mags now after @Adolf Hamster’s story of losing one because TM mags are fucking expensive to replace!)
  8. I don’t have an E2 but I think they look like a very very similar shape (minus the lower rail)? Yeah I have a lanyard, I’m not running round with something I paid £80 for bouncing out down a stairwell.
  9. Ah ok cool. And that will fit a 226? - move fast - quick load (I don’t use a dump pouch, I shove the empties down the front of my shirt) and quick draw - carry enough rounds to start a small coup - look like a fucking gangster 🤣
  10. Is a serpa holster molle? I can’t find one that is.
  11. Hmmm probably not? I have a torch on my M4 carbine, I don’t know that there would be that much utility in a pistol barrel torch... would there? To be honest I don’t think you can put a torch on a P226 (it isn’t the E2 so I don’t think it has a bottom rail)? I have a hand torch too (I was always told in training that waving a torch around on the end of your gun is a good way to get shot in the dark, at least you can hold a hand torch away from your body).
  12. Fair wind and following seas shipmate.
  13. Those of you who are familiar with my spamming of threads/posing open questions @GAMBLE @Adolf Hamster @GenuineGerman @Jacob Wright will know that they have followed a theme and gone through the following development; 1. Do I need a sidearm? 2. I want one anyway. 3. Why are 1911s so ugly. 4. Bought a TM P226. 5. Are RN/RM/Army irritating. To that end, I now welcome more advice on this thread or indeed any of the other topics I have brought up and derailed elsewhere! I have a P226 in the post (and an offer a casual link up with a team in North London thank you Jacob!) and am in irons about how to incorporate the new kit based on planning considerations of; 1. I am not sold on a drop leg holster, always having had an osprey mounted holster for work. 2. I have a P226 with two additional magazines to carry and would prefer a generic holster in case (when) I buy another pistol so that I can carry either. 3. I play urban/CQB/PMC so don’t spend my Sundays prone in a ditch peering through a hedge. 4. I already have a 4th additional M4 midcap to carry in my combats (they have a thigh mag pocket which I think is pretty cool). 5. I don’t really want to buy another plate carrier because this one does me for airsoft/crossfit/running etc and my wife will smell a rat if I suddenly have another one around the house. How would you incorporate a pistol with two extra mags into this setup? I have seen the odd pistol holster that can carry a mag which may be an option, as well as double pistol mag pouches. Clearly I still want to be able to draw my pistol quickly and not get tangled up in the mag pouches. Interested to hear suggestions (including arguments that I am wrong and should consider a drop leg holster/other kind of holster) of what you would put together, as well as any links that you think are helpful. (There is also one other option which is a real steel police/SWAT vest with significantly more MOLLE attachment points that I was issued years ago but have never used for airsoft and was considering selling) Never worn the second one (issued kit) for airsoft because it is massive (identical to what the 5-0 wear) and feels like running round in a juggernaut suit.
  14. M92L is objectively very pretty. It’s like a Beretta M9’s fit step sister.
  15. Well shoot me in the balls with a .5g BB I am learning things left right and centre today! So presumably all of the hex cuts are metal sliders? That makes more sense RE: less gas and faster movement. It doesn’t stop them being ugly as sin though.
  16. ‘I am know mostest about gnus’ haha. Yeah that’s the bit mate, looks much nicer on a 226 where it is more subtle. I’m not arguing for which is the most practical, just aesthetics really. A browning h-p is the best looking pistol ever made, and mine will always hold a special place in my heart even though I still have the scar from where it removed most of the skin from the webbing on my right thumb! And that beaver tail (every day is a school day, literally never heard that term before!) doesn’t explain why a 1911 looks like it has a bit missing from the underside of the barrel. And don’t even get me started on ‘hex cut’ versions! It’s a pistol, how lightweight do you need it to be? If you can’t point it naturally at the target without undue strain without lopping bits out of it then you really need to go and do some phys. 🤢
  17. Craig is the epitome of a badass! I do think he benefits from being in better films to be fair; better M, better Q, better baddies etc. The coolest Bond moment ever is in Skyfall when he gives old Judy a lift in the Aston and you just get a little taste of the theme music as he opens the garage door, and then she moans about the ride being uncomfortable and he glances at the gear stick 🤣.
  18. @Lozart @Adolf Hamster great minds think alike fellas. Jacob has accepted my offer and pending a video of it firing later on tonight it will be in the post to me tomorrow! And that was before I saw your posts haha! a 1911 is ugly though no? The end of the barrel is a funny shape and it looks like there is a piece missing, and there is a pointlessly massive hook/thumb webbing rest thing sticking out the back of the stock. I will concede that a G17/19 looks like it is made of Lego though. I am looking forward to my P226 arriving.
  19. Craig has got to take it as the best portrayal of Bond. He is the most human, has believable flaws and therefore is the most relatable. Connery and Lasenby are too perfect and make too few mistakes. I also think I could take either one of them in a fight. I know that Craig would hand my arse to me on a plate.
  20. @Druid799 you have made a serious point very eloquently and with a completely salient thought process. i fucking pissed myself at the idea of a bloke breaking into a school to make all the kids have a fag and a pint with him! That guy is my hero.
  21. That sounds like an excuse to buy another shed/workshop/place to hide your purchases from the wife to be honest mate....
  22. You could absolutely buy a dremel and wood carving chisel etc for about £50 and then spend the rest of lockdown making one yourself? I don’t have a RIF that I could put wooden furniture on but I think it would be really cool to have something you had done yourself no? And you can learn anything on YouTube (including how to cheat the viewer into thinking every single one your shots lands with a hit marker and a sound effect but that is another story...). Let’s face it, what the fuck else is there to do during lockdown? There are only so many CQB drills you can do in the kitchen and scare the shit out of the dog.
  23. You’ve hit the nail on the head there; you can’t get around the requirement to own knives for chopping onions and gutting fish etc, you absolutely can manage without a gun because most of us do (or make do with a RIF which is 100% good fun and 100% safe as long as it isn’t in a post office or a bank). People do get stabbed and killed, but you’ve got a fighting chance with a narwhal tusk/traffic cone/just getting on your toes. Without sounding too crude if someone loses it with a knife in a public place I don’t have to outrun the attacker, I just have to outrun a couple of other people... No one can outrun a 7.62 or a 5.56.
  24. I think, and I am reasonably confident of this advice because I have actually read VCRA rather than just summaries of summaries of my other people’s posts, that you *should* be ok using an alternative defence. That is, if you are a proper airsofter, you have pictures and videos of you skirmishing at a variety of sites, you have got email confirmations of attendance at skirmishes such as payment receipts etc then that *should* qualify as a defence as it is a reasonable assumption you are going to use the RIF for the appropriate reasons. I don’t have a UKARA number because it it a fucking cartel and a closed shop which I refuse to subscribe to, and have never played at one site more than a couple of times. That said I own (and have owned in the past, RIFs) and have bought them from people who will accept my defence (pictures, videos, emails confirming attendance). That said, there are a couple of *should*S in there. You are relying on the vendor accepting the defence which is easy to check before you buy. The issue is if Border Force know the law well enough to understand that and will let it through. I have worked with Border Force a few times and on the whole they are nice blokes and profession but not the brightest and unlikely to be aware of what is actually a pretty niche law. It boils down to how much money you have got to play with. £300+ is a lot of money to risk on the odd chance a UKBF agent misunderstands the law and thinks that UKARA is a license etc. Personally I am happy to throw away money on toys but I wouldn’t risk that much money.
  25. Never get a two tone. Unless you are 14 and your mum gives you a lift to the site and then washes your combats for you.
