  1. Does anyone know where I could find a KSC PRO SP2009 GBB Pistol within the UK, or perhaps knows anyone who might be willing to sell theirs?

  2. Central Londoners, what are your favourite sites to go to? And on the flip side of that, what are some sites to avoid?

I don't have a car, so it's either pay my life savings away at bunker 51 or travel for hours on end to some place on the edge of london. Neither of which are appealing, so pretty much not played at all since my stay here.

    2. TheFriendlyBro

      TheFriendlyBro

Just wondering but have you been to Bunker 51 by yourself? Seems like you have to email them in order to find out what the price would be.

  3. I've had my Specna Arms RRA SA-E01 EDGE rifle for a little while now, but I'm struggling to find a Picatinny Rail that's 16cm, and would perfectly fit the 6" A2 handguard on it.

The rail I'm using in the picture is only 12cm long, and really isn't leaving enough room for my attachments.

Any UK peeps know where I can buy something that fits the entire handguard?

      Hey there.

Which rail is that? Like I mentioned before, the one I had was only 12cm long and wasn't long enough for the entire handguard. Is that a 15.5/16cm long one?

That rail looks longer than the one I had.

Darn, outta stock. Thanks for the link!

  4. My Specna Arms Rock River Arms SA-E01 EDGE is arriving on Monday, what are some high quality classic M4 magazines that I can buy for it?

Had a lot of people suggest to pick up some EPM1's and I don't mind the price, but they look a bit too modern for what style I'm after.

So, are there any metal mid-caps that have a classic M4 look, and are worth picking up?

Classic army metal mid caps , can’t praise them enough ! all I ever use for the ‘old school’ look , been using them 15+yrs without any problems . Should think I’ve run them in pretty much all brands of guns(I have a very short attention span when it comes to owning guns) so I think I’ve owned an example of all the brands at one time or another ! 🤦‍♂️😆😆

    3. TheFriendlyBro

      TheFriendlyBro

I'll check em out! Hopefully they work with a Specna.

You could pickup up some M16 STANAG Flashmags.. I use Nuprol ones and have done for last 2years with no issues in a few of my guns. :)

  5. AIRSOFT SHOP JAPAN, does anyone here have any experience with buying from them?

    https://airsoft-shop-japan.com/

They're an online airsoft store in Japan, with a few items in stock that I'm intrested in. Prices are quite jacked up, but I'm wondering if anyone here as ordered from them before and if so, what your experience been like?

Is it fine buying airsoft guns abroad, as long as you've got a valid defence?

Any guidence on this would be grand.

      TheFriendlyBro

In terms of buying from them, I'm guessing they will always be picked up by customs?

This might sound really dumb but are there any legal issues with importing RIFS? Long as you got a valid defence, I hope it's cool.

    3. Druid799

      Druid799

I’d think without a doubt you’ll get caught by customs , but as long as you’ve a valid defence there’s no reason you can’t import a RIF , just remember to to dot every single i and cross every fricking T on your order info ! 🤬

    4. 0mega

      0mega

I've bought RIF's from HK retailers long ago and had no issue with a UKARA defence.

Saying that, as I try to get back into Airsoft after 10 years I've had issues recently just trying to get bits and bobs from abroad. (See thread in UK Law Channel)
But even then it would have been much simpler had I an active UKARA defence. (Even though it shouldn't be needed for parts)

As Druid says, include as much info during the order. I can't personally recall if ASJ gives you an option to include your skirmisher number or not.

  6. Hey everyone, sorry for what might be a silly question but is there an airsoft version of the 1911 that is similar to Snakes MGS4 .45?

I'm looking for a reliable brand and a match in colour/rail and overall looks. Any help would be grand!

      Yes....and no.

Have a google for "airsoft Springfield TRP", there was one ready made as an RA-Tech collaboration but I'm not sure if it's still available. Alternatively Guarder made a TRP conversion kit for a Tokyo Marui 1911.

  7. How do people package up and send off their rifles and other guns? Looking to send a few but unsure best way to wrap it up, what's the best paper/boxes or services to use.

I use 2 rubble sacks, one over each end of the gun box, then wrap in lots of tape.

Parcel force 48, usually costs between £15 and £20. When they ask what it is, just say sports equipment.

    3. Paul72

      Paul72

Parcel force 48, will take and cover / insure you if you say “low power air weapon” they don’t take ‘toy guns” and you are covered if you say sporting equipment

    4. Druid799

      Druid799

Think I’m the same as all above , original gun box(never chuck them away) , bin bags and a shit load of ductape then parcelforce48 .

  8. Hey people.

Was recently gifted an old M4 and was hoping to have it looked at by a tech for cleanup and an upgrade. I'm based in London, what are my options?

      Adolf Hamster

Given it sounds like you have spare pews lying around why not take this as an opportunity to do the tinkering yourself?

    2. TheFriendlyBro

      TheFriendlyBro

I think at the moment, I'd much prefer paying a professional to have it looked over, in case I miss anything and to have some advice on upgrades.

  9. Looking to get my first AKS-74U from LCT, have the option of deciding whether or not its wired to Mini Tamiya, Deans or XT60.

What should I go for and what are the actual differences between the three?

    2. Rogerborg

      Rogerborg

Agreed, Deans is the good enough + common enough solution.

XT-60 is common enough on RC batteries but they tend to be blocks rather than sticks, so (assuming you don't want to rewire airsoft batteries yourself) it's really a question of whether you can source batteries with that connector which will fit in the available space.

    3. Adolf Hamster

      Adolf Hamster

although an argument in favour of xt60 if you solder your own connections, is nobody is going to be sponging/stealing your batteries

    4. Druid799

      Druid799

Deans and XT’s are on a par when it comes too power transfer but as the others have said deans are so much easier to source already fitted to batt’s and what not . In comparison to basically every other connector you could think of Tamiya’s (both sizes) are an utter pile of wank when it comes to transfer rates there just so inefficient in comparison . So no don’t have one of those fitted ! 😉

  10. The G&G UMG, yay or nay? What are your experiences with this UMP and are there any alternatives from other brands worth picking up?

    Any guidence would be grand!

    1. Druid799

      Druid799

Do you like the look of it ? that’s the real question , if yes you do then get it , if not that sold on it then don’t . As you will often read on this forum unless you spend some serious beer tokens near ALL the AEG’s in a particular price range are much of a muchness . After playing for waaaaaayyyyy too long I’ve come to the conclusion if a gun is from one of the ‘main Airsoft manufacturers’ then the deciding factor are the aesthetics of the gun and not it’s possible performance as basically they’ll all perform the same . 👍

    2. kasaran

      kasaran

Having got the original G&G UMG, the plastic certainly feels more sturdy than the Umerex's i poked at on a site that used them for rentals.  But for the price difference either will do ya fine.  Mine did need the hop unit modding though, as the slider was so lose it would undo itself.  Simple fix, a washer put under the bolt that holds it fixed it fine, and it hops 0.28's with ease stock.

  11. Does anyone here have prior experience with ordering from Target-Softair.com?

Looking for UK links for this specific gun but can't seem to find 'em.

      Rogerborg

Just the general observation that anything remotely assault-toy related coming into the country is highly likely to get stopped at the moment, and a firearms declaration required.  You're looking at weeks-to-months to get it, assuming that you can actually produce a defence for importing it.

  12. When it comes to upgrading an airsoft gun, where do you start?

I've got a WE WE712 that's stock at the moment but I'd like to keep it in top tip shape and performance.

What should I be looking for about replacing?

      TheFriendlyBro

So basic rule of thumb, don't mess around with your collection unless it's broken? I'm interested in learning more about upgrading but unsure where to begin and what's what with each different airsoft gun.

And to answer your question Rogerborg, yes! But not as many times as I'd like. Getting more into collecting than playing.

    3. DBGXXI

      DBGXXI

Generally speaking the very first upgrade recommendations are the hop rubber and barrel usually (most of the cases depending on the gun of course)

But only if you're extremely unhappy with the stock performance and have a good confirmation of certain products that will 100% work and being truly an upgrade

    4. TheFriendlyBro

      TheFriendlyBro

      Thanks for the information DBGXXI!

  13. This might be a silly question, as I'm reading conflicting threads but does the UK have a national airsoft FPS limit?

Looking to pick up a Real Sword AK but would the FPS downgrade to 350FPS be required? Any guidence would be grand, thanks.

      Rogerborg

      Flawless answer.

A couple of notes. First, sellers shouldn't be flogging these things in the UK without downgrading the power.  However, as a curious legal quirk, you're the one committing the offence by buying a Section 5 prohibited firearm, not them for selling it.  So, yes, get it downgraded, something that will already have been done to even the cheapest CYMAs.

Second, I'm getting the distinct impression that you don't actually play airsoft, and so I'm rather expecting a followup question along the lines of "What's the best way to re-activate a de-activated AK?  For research purposes."

      Thanks for the response, Impulse!

    4. colinjallen

      colinjallen

Possibly not quite flawless; Northern Ireland, which is part of the UK, has a 1J limit across both semi- and full-auto.

  14. So, Tokyo Marui just unvealed their brand new Colt Single Action Army on Twitter.

When it comes to pre-ordering their new guns in the UK, what's the best website to use?

I think it is part of the boys range for kids and spring powered which explains the low power.

      TheFriendlyBro

So, are there any good websites that allow pre-order for upcoming TM airsoft guns?

  15. London peeps! Since lockdown and most recently, how have you been playing airsoft?

I'm still looking to get into the game proper but unsure what are the best places within London.

    Any stories/suggestions would be grand.

  16. Heya people. Sorry for what could be a dumb question but is G&G a decent brand?

Looking at their UMP 45 and their SG552, just wondering if anyone has any thoughts to share.

As I've not used one of their weapons before.

      Cr0-Magnon

@Skara - Quite honestly with your 1J limit, I'm surprised that all the serious airsofters in Italy aren't just running around with stock TM recoils.

    3. Skara

      Skara

TM has a reputation of being overpriced af here, mostly because people are so fucking obsessed with "FuLl MeTaL" guns.

They think a pot metal receiver is better than a polymer one and it'll give them 50 extra metres of range.

So a TM Hi-Cycle M4 CRW that will most likely outlast your car is shit (even though it pumps out a retarded ROF on a 7.4) but a -insert truly overpriced brand here- that shits the bed on its first game is good!

      Logik, I know..

I'll be honest, if I didn't like tinkering with stuff I would have bought a TM CRW and swapped the hop rubber for a ML (yes I'm a ML fanboy) and called it a day.

I like tinkering so I built my own out of a specna ;)

    4. benno996

      benno996

Decent enough, but I wouldn’t go back to one now. Specna is still only a ‘low to mid range’ brand as I’d call it, but for similar money you get so much more bang for buck.

Just like Dyatlov said at Chernobyl - not great, not terrible.

  17. So, anyone else in the same boat of wanting to collect more than play? Handguns are a particular favourite of mine and I'm currently on the hunt for a Makarov and a Walther PPK (cheers Bond).

    1. Shamal

All my stuff is functional and not for hanging on walls.

      It's  used,cleaned and stowed away.

      👍🙂
