    Zparts rails…talk to me…

Are they pretty much plug and play or will I need an adapter of sorts for a stock MWS?

Quality I’m assuming is up their, not quite HAO but better than AG?

Its a drop on fit. They are really nice actually. Get a Zparts steel outer barrel whilst you are at it ;)

Right, here's the deal, I *could* trawl through all 247 pages in this thread to hopefully find the info I need, but I figure I'll be lazy and just ask.

Basically,  I've built a DMR upper.

    It has:

    6.05mm x 410mm Orga inner

Angry gun complete cnc hop adjuster set

Angrygun hop chamber with unicorn bucking

Angry Gun high speed bolt carrier with mpa nozzle.

At home I chrono'd at 1.77 joules. However, it was failing to hop .30g BB's and had cycling issues. The bolt carrier seemed sluggish when cycling and would occasionally fail to cycle and end up venting the gas form the mag.

I have acquired a Laylax hop chamber and nine ball rubber and have ordered a flat hop tensioner.... am I on the right track here?

Just looking for general advice on how to get this upper working well. Cost of parts isn't an issue. To keep the power around the 1.8j mark and be able to hop 0.3g - 0.4g bb's and cycle smoothly.

Any advice would be much appreciated

Put it back to stock, get a supernub and an npas then leave it alone!

You basically gave your mws cancer.

  3. What he said.

They just feel different. If you tried one for the day, everything else seems like junk.

Then, when they go wrong, you want to burn them and hate them with every part of your being.

I sold my recoils, they just feel cheap and both of them broke ( they were "modified") . The ptw is 14 years old and pretty sure it's never been serviced...it will break now I said this.

The Magpul stocks will fit, CTR provides the best lockup with no wobble.

As for grips it’s personal preference, Magpul, hogue, ergo or the BCM grip is great ( I have one for sale 🙃 ) but I’ve recently swapped to a reptilia as I have girly hands.

Ha, this is why I sold it in the first place. The reptilia one is nice eh :)

While to me springing the fees on you was a bit if an arsehole thing to do. However, you could've chosen to simply walk away from the deal but instead decided to act like a spoilt child and create unnecessary drama by first leaving negative feedback then starting this thread.

All in all both sides are being arseholes but the OP is the bigger one by a long way

I get what you are saying, but in over x100 transactions on these forums, this is the only one with an "issue". Like I said, PP is not the only option so I didn't include it, but based on this fucking pile of nonsense it looks like I will on all future posts because of the 0.1%.

FYI, I am a self confessed arsehole and proud :D

Also apparently isn't desperate for the money, but damn he is fighting hard for that extra £1.20.

There's a difference between selling fast and losing out, or just waiting as someone will pay. I don't need the money, just as much as I don't need to give it away.  His whining over £1.20 just made me more likely to not give in, which also did the same for him apparently lol.  It was priced cheap as it is, way better quality than a lot of the crap sold in the UK.

Perhaps a simple line 'Buyer covers PayPal fees' in the listing could avoid any issues like this in future?

I think the OP was out of order leaving negative feedback on a transaction that didn't happen - that's a really dick move.

Never needed it for the 100+ other items I have sold on here but I guess I will have to!

I've messaged Jedi to get both the feedbacks removed. This all is a massive waste of time when he could have just moved on instead of leaving feedback and posting this bullshit thread. I would have just got on with my day, but that's me!

All this shit lol..for £1.20. Jeez

  7. Over x100 sales on this forum and you are the ONLY person that has ever complained about paying a PP fee.

I don't include it in the cost in case you want to pay by another method which several people have done in the past and I have had zero problems.

Being petty enough to leave me bad feedback even though you have not PURCHASED anything from me for the sake of £1.20, then raising a voting thread over it is as childish and pathetic as you could ever be.

I even agreed to get it to you fast, which would cost me more in shipping/tracking etc but you were penny pinching. I owe you no favours, I owe you nothing and I am not strapped for cash. If you don't want to pay £1.20, jog on, someone else will. Leaving feedback over it is pathetic. (FYI, I see the irony in that last sentence considering I also left feedback..but what can I say, this has got my back up)

YOU are the instigator here, you could have just walked on, but you chose to act like a child and start this all off. Starting a thread titles "Am I the asshole" meaning Or is it this guy because he didn't give in to my demands..sorry pal, asshole move.

That's one thing I haven't tried yet... I just seem to stick with Abbey at the moment. I assume propane during the colder months and Mapp for the other months? Also which propane adapter are you using and I assume you stick a wee bit of lube in with each fill?

Nope, propane for everything above 10 degrees, mapp below as it's better in the cold.

I use the airsoft innovations one but they seem hard to get hold of right now. And a nope for putting lube in at all. I just run them empty at the end of the day, then put a square of Abbey Green/maintenance gas in for storage. Works just fine.

  9. My mws in its current form.

    G&P npas

    Summer buffer spring

    Pts buffer

    G&P buffer tube

    Daves nub

That's it for internals, I've tried so many others and it's all crap, just leave it as close to stock as possible.

    AG v2 11inch URGI rail.

steel outer barrel, cant remember the make.

    geiselle gas block.

    b5 systems bravo stock.

b5 systems grip( pictured with a bcm).

g&p steel forward assist, mag release etc.

    AG b2 maritime bolt release

AG mini socom and 4 prong flash.

    Bcm handstop.

Surefire, ngal, unity mount and eotech to finish. Ferro concepts sling and swivels and probably other crap I've forgotten.

Running on propane or mapp gas depending on temps.

    UKASA is the simplest solution

£30 quid though, for something that you can do yourself for free.  Been airsofting for over 20 years on and off and never had UKARA or UKASA. A valid defence is what the law requires.

Back on topic tho..Dave, help lol. I need an inner barrel to match my 11.5 outer..any idea what I need?

  11. question for you all, what length inner barrel for an 11.5inch outer barrel?

On 19/01/2022 at 18:37, Khyber said:

Hey, so with my UKARA still not registered. Been onto my local site for 2 weeks now and they still haven't done it. And I'm told it only takes 2 mins... 😒 anyway obviously my rifle still hasn't been ordered. But... I was originally wanting the mk18 version but the over used loctite on the barrel nut and the need for a URX tool has been putting me off, think I may be swayed back to a standard m4a1 as its so easy to access the inner barrel and hop up etc.. so got a question. I presume the gas tube running from the gas block/front sight back to the receiver is inert? Am i correct? If so is it possible to run the rifle without the front sight and gas tube leaving the hand guard / rail free floating. I'm not over keen on the front sight which is one reason I was going for the mk18. If it's fine to run like this it will make the m4a1 a more preferable choice for me again. As well as the fact its £70-80 cheaper. ( that leaves money for an extra mag ;)

    Thanks in advance.

UKARA is a load of shit. You dont need it at all, you just need a valid defence. If you have someone on site that can confirm you are using it for airsoft you can get it.

UKARA is just one type of defence, thats it.

Use the standard bolt or a quality lightweight one if you want snappier cycle, no rollers, no angry gun crap.

The MWS doesn’t want for much, just fine tuning, trigger box work and cleanliness.

    This.

I think this thread needs a new sticky so new owners can learn from some of our mistakes.

The only upgrades I would suggest are the supernub and an npas so you can run propane/green gas. Or anything for cosmetic reasons as long as it doesn't impact the internals OR (and I cannot stress this enough) it's not made by Angry Gun.

I have bought and tried many parts from various manufacturers, alternative bolts from HAO ETC.  I've removed it all, apart from the g&p npas, super nub and a heavier buffer spring. Roller bolts are nonsense, a solution to a problem that doesn't exist. The stock hop rubber is good for .32+, its cheap and easy to get spares. The stock inner barrel is fine as it is. The trigger box is a bag of turd by design, improving it will just make it a slightly better bag of turd.

I've wasted hundreds on "upgrades" which were downgrades in performance. There really is no need to go nuts.

  13. If anyone is after any BCM bits for their MWS I've just listed some. Infact, i've listed a pistol grip, a sling plate modified for MWS, a B5 Bravo stock for any URGI fans and also have the 13.5" mk16 rail, 14.5 outer barrel etc with adapters for the MWS.

I've shortened mine to 11.5 now. So much trial and error with the MWS over the last few months..think i'm getting there now.

GBBR have a role and a realism aspect, but a well tuned AEG will be beat them in every way. Except in super heavy rain, where electrics do not fair very well.

GBBR's have a cool realism aspect you will not get on all but the very highest end GBLS M4. Which cost around 3-4 times more than an MWS. Even then, the GBBR has the realism edge and a nicer trigger.

But you will have to deal with gas temps, purging mags, higher maintenance and much lower ammo counts. All while carrying mags, which weigh a lot more and are relatively fragile compared to an AEG Midcap.

I am still yet to be won over by my MWS, which I hope will happen by turning it into a 1.88J DMR running 0.45s

I want to love it, but i would rather win

I've read the comments from one of the guy who claims to have seen buffer spring wrecked by HSB from TM discord server I am in, since I havent found any info about it here I wanted to ask you guys, I dont have any other source than this so thats why I wanted to ask the veterans in this field :D

I already have HSB in my hands, so just wanted to be sure whether it should be safe to install - so gonna go ahead and do it, havent had a problem with what this thread has been suggesting me before ;)

i have one. A couple of times I have had the buffer stuck in the buffer tube. When stripping and poking it back loose the tapered end of the spring was folded in on itself causing the spring to bunch up and stick in the buffer tube. When I remove the HSB, this doesn't happen.  Take from this what you will. I know many have had no issues though.

This POS build is close to becoming a meme within our team.

I have a friend who is waiting for an MWS to come up for sale. I keep reminding him this is available and still at the bargain price of £900

We make jokes.. its goes quite.. we pity the person who paid money to produce this.

Mws with good stuff removed and shit stuff added...MOAR MUNNIES PLEASE.

what is the purge issue, could u elaborate more on it?

its not an issue. Basically if a mag is run dry and has air in it, you hold the valve open for a second while filling to purge the air out and leave liquid gas in. his mags were full of air and I proved it after his game.  plastic nozzle gas bottles don't really let the air out when filling.

The proper MP7 style QD suppressor is what Im rocking on mine, and I love it.

Does it actually silence the gun? Maybe ever so slightly? I find it changes the pitch of the snap it makes rather than silences it. But who cares when the MP7 sounds so awesome, the loud snappy crack of it firing quite often makes people go "WTF is that?" Though its not quite as satisfyingly noisy as my mates B&T MP9

    Thread revival time.

Doesn't that angry gun one flip about and fit poorly (like everything angry gun makes)

They say that for a TM MWS fit, I need barrel spacers???

Can someone explain why and where would I put them?

It will, but only with the barrel spacer from angry gun, which only comes with their outer barrel set.

The gen1 rails went fine, gen2 they changed the barrel nut for some stupid reason.

Honestly, save yourself the hassle and either buy a zparts one for a bit more or wait until hao can ship to the UK again as its cheaper than the other options and LEAGUES ahead in quality and fitment.
