ICS are still solid and good choice for getting into teching with the easy to disassemble split gearbox design. VFCs are ok but generally focus on externals over internal quality. Classic Army have been making a comeback recently with some nice quality AEGs on the lower of the price scale. Other options are G&G, Specna Arms, and the recent Cyma guns

hey mate, plenty of people out there take breaks, hasn't changed a huge deal in last 5 years, advances in motor, few more Chinese brands, electronic triggers more of a thing...

I’m getting back into Airsoft after a break of about 5 years so not quite new but finding lots has moved on!
Unfortunately got rid of all my gear when I left so will prob have to hire for a few goes. I’m living in the Exeter area I know there are a couple of sites local not sure what else is around so if anyone can recommend a friendly that would be awesome.
