  1. Got myself one of the gen 2 Lancer tacticals for a small project and after skirmishing a couple times the selector plate has become extremely mushy with a ton of play in the switch - which is even going over the stops meant to keep it from rotating fully. I'm not sure if this is a lancer specific issue - but I wonder if anyone has any tips for fixing it. Preferably without taking apart a gearbox since I don't have a clue with how to go about troubleshooting. I don't want to have to take it back to a tech for such a mundane reason so any help is appreciated
  2. It's nearly Halloween and I want to see the spookiest and most cursed builds and posts from the airsoft world! Give me your worst boys, I want to cry today! Note: Recommend if it's a post from anyone on this forum to blank out their username just to make sure people don't send anything toxic their way. If it's on another forum or reddit - no need to do it. We're all here to have a laugh! To start us off, have one I did myself
  3. Oh for sure, they're fantastically built but I can't help but feel like whoever was making the mags was smoking some heavy dope when it came to compatibility and also how the feeding system is designed. I'm sure it's fine if you have an E&L AK and that's why they did it - but it comes off as pretty lazy and scummy to make it near proprietary.
  4. Yeh, sadly finding Metal 7.62 Cyma midcaps is really hard - do you have any good retailers you could suggest?
  5. Hi all! I've received 3 E&L magazines which I have for the last few weeks tried to get working in my Cyma AK. From what I've found firstly seating the mags is extremely difficult and without modification wont seat correctly. When I have got them to seat there is quite a lot of wobble near the magazine catch. Secondly for some reason the E&L magazines do not have a follower that moves to the top of the magazine ensuring you can remove all the BBs from the magazine. I've had a number of occasions where I've needed to remove them manually after games due to it. If anyone has also encountered this and has a solution or has experience in this please lemme know! It's really disappointing since I want the metal 7.62 pattern magazines to complete my loadout and there's barely any sources on what magazines would work with a CYMA since most posts are for the LCTs. Please give me a hand here - it's a massive frustration! Stay safe everyone, and I'll appreciate the help!!

Lightly Skirmished CYMA AK! Polymer Body but has excellent weight and all important parts are metal. Selling to save for a new purchase. Has been skirmished twice and performed great like all CYMA AKs Externals: CYMA Metal RIS top rail This gun will also come with its retail highcap and two midcap magazines! NOTE – Red Dot sights and foregrips may be avaliable!~ Internals are stock and is top wired for mini tamiya. The only adjustment has been a gear reshimming to reduce some of the grind. Price is negotiable, shipping will be calculated once I find out shipping costs from postal.

    £70

  7. True - at the end of the day - this is just a preliminary price, I'll likely reduce it and i do often offer a lowered price in the end. It's not personal - as you have said. I'm still pretty new to the hobby and of course pricing is just another thing I need to work around. I do appreciate the call out, because yeh - now I look back it was pretty insane.
  8. The price isn't final - A friend of mine was very kind and shimmed two of my guns since both came from the supplier pretty grindy - but aside from that nothing was done. They do both come with some added externals, but I've adjusted prices to not include the flat shipping fee because now I'll calculate it before I ask for the money/sent the gun. Hurts a bit too have it called out in a meme thread however, a good point was raised - and has helped me adjust. Thank you
  9. Personally I skipped over the EDGE series and went for CORE and just slapped in a gate nano AAB mosfet (they're like £25) and honestly I think that's all you'll need to start! Plus the money you saved on the edge can be put towards stuff like magazines, accessories, or even a cheap and cheerful sidearm
  10. Hello! I've recently returned to the hobby after a 3 year break in which I sold all my airsoft kit to put myself through college a second time. I've recently saved enough to get myself a fresh start into the hobby. When I first started the hobby I spent so much money on things that I really didn't need and honestly I regretted it a lot since I was getting the same performance as the average joe with his CM16 - which is about a third of the price of my kit. Starting again has been great because I am now knowledgeable enough to know what is good value and what isn't. Sadly the site I frequented (The Mall) shut down so I'm looking around the berkshire area for people to play with, and also to try some new sites. I hope everyone is staying safe during these tricky times, and are somehow managing to entertain themselves!
