I genuinely think they’re just enjoying the anonymity of it all, I certainly had fun putting myself out there as something I’m not on the internet before in my
younger years. As long as no one is getting hurt it’s all just entertainment from a few bored folks as I see it 🤷🏻‍♂️.

That would make two of us, I wouldn't say I babysit my RIFs too much but I generally avoid doing things I actively know are reducing the lifespan of parts. As with everything, if folks want to do it then go nuts. It's your money, but I've certainly heard more than one 'as if the cocking lever/tube broke, what a load of shit' in my time only to find myself questioning what outcome they were expecting.

If the past year and a half has taught me anything, it's to just say it like it is and save yourself the time. If he doesn't like it then I doubt he'll be bothering you anymore, or he'll 'get it' and stop doing the bits that irk you (perhaps needing a nudge from time to time as a reminder). Either way, problem solved.

I get it's very easy to say, and awkward social interactions can be pretty painful... but don't let crap like this hinder your enjoyment of anything, irrelevant of what it is.

Depends if you want a weapon light, and if you do, if you'd have a way you'd want to mount said weapon light. If no, or you have a way you'd want to mount a light then sure. Only other consideration is if you're front wired.

Front ends/handguards are so easy to swap out that it's not exactly like any of this crap is permanent anyway.

Aye, don’t get me wrong I get thinking it looks a bit gaudy but I don’t think I’ve ever seen some banner ads taken so personally. Obviously we’ll never know, but I suspect the fact it’s Novvy has definitely exaggerated the response.

Was a forum feedback thread needed? Probably. Does it need to have multiple threads and posts in completely unrelated threads fishing for those delicious reactions for that sweet, sweet internet validation? No. No it does not. Bringing it up all over the shop only serves to make it more disruptive, hence this being a status update rather than a thread/post... though I am aware there is still some hypocrisy present here.

Of all the adverts I’ve seen on here the one I am/was (it’s been a while since I’ve seen it personally) the most against was the competitions ones... but that’s largely down to my personal beliefs on gambling. Which feels worse in combination with how, jokes aside, stereotypically shit with money management airsofters tend to be.

Way back when I was chasing around doing research for mk18 mod 1's the Knight's Armament NT4 QD was the one which kept coming up. The actual make up of a mk18 mod 1 seems to be a weird hot point of contention, plenty of folks disagreeing with the accuracy of the parts list folks put together so take it with a grain of salt.

alxndrhll got a reaction from GenuineGerman in Does no one want to swap a PSG1 haha. I wonder why oh I’m asking a lot for it. Maybe
Its very much a niche thing you're looking to off load, unless it was down to a price some would consider peanuts I doubt dropping it would increase your chance of selling it much. Do I think you're likely get £1000 back for it? Not realistically. Do I think someone that's genuinely interested would get in touch, with the pair of you eventually landing on a price you both consider fair? Yup.

It's certainly not something I think you'll see a quick turn around on, unless you drop the price significantly... and that's ultimately the decision you need to make. If you want to shift it quickly, you're going to have to drop the price a fair whack and catch someone on an impulse buy. Outside of that, settle in and wait for the right person.

For reference I've recently, in the grand scheme of things, sold out of HPA). One of those RIFs (which I'd argue is in the same ballpark of niche in terms of it being HPA... but it was a more conventional AR) having an RRP of £860, I ended up coming out with about £700 after postage and fees. It took 2/3 months from initial posting of the ad to posting it off to the new owner.

alxndrhll got a reaction from GenuineGerman in Any recommendations on a good back panel for a plate carrier? Something more affordab
Either of the aforementioned would be fine for that, though it's worth putting some thought into how you're countering how back heavy that rig is going to become. Having the rear continuously wanting to pull the front bag gets extremely irritating/uncomfortable very quickly. The easiest quick fix would running a foam dummy plate in the rear plate bag (because the weight is coming from all the gubbins on your back), and a weighted training plate in the front as a counter weight.

Stuff I'm sure you'll figure out on your own as you tweak things, but felt worth mentioning ahead of time. I very much run more minimal, but that's come from years of playing and knowing what I do and don't use on average.

    That being:
5 150ish rnd midcaps (1 in RIF, 4 on front of PC/chest rig) 3 pistol mags (2 on belt, 1 in RIF), truthfully with the amount I use my pistol outside of CQB I could drop this to just the mag in the RIF and notice no real difference AR style speedloader (450-ish rounds, in either utility or dangler pouch) Ammo sock/pouch thing with extra BBs in it (utility pouch) Spare battery (in utility pouch) Bottle of water (usually in dangler pouch)
Even listing it out like that I feel like I'm carrying too much for what I need 😅. But I'm also not against having to go back to a safezone to top up things if I absolutely need to, though that set up is usually more than enough to get me to lunch time. YMMV, I always land on I'd rather carry less and go back to a safe zone if I need to versus carrying a bunch of extra crap I might never need.

Specna in general is a brand I’ve never had any kit from so I’ve got nothing of use to contribute there I’m afraid. I dare say if you pop up a status like this one regarding them you’ll get plenty of responses. I guess the main thing is if you can get a dimensions comparison, as much as I’d like to assume they use the same shells for both mid’s and hi’s that would be assuming logic from an airsoft manufacturer... something I’ve learned isn’t a trait most tend to have.

alxndrhll got a reaction from Impulse in I did the thing that loads of people say not to do; I bought a hand pump for my HPA t
Speaking from experience, 13ci to 3000PSI takes about half an hour (not accounting for a break to allow the pump to cool down if needed). 48ci to 3000PSI took me about 2 and half hours (which is accounting for cool down breaks, because there is no way of avoid that thing warming up more than is ideal with a larger tank). For me the most notable change in how hard it was to pump was going from 2300ish PSI up to the 3000 area, YMMV. And with a larger tank obviously you spend longer pumping at those higher pressures, hence the sizeable increase in time taken... alongside needing more breaks for things to cool down.

From 0-2300 it's pretty much a breeze, just need to make sure you're maintaining the proper technique throughout and not getting lured into the temptation of fast strokes equals faster fills. Should be stoke down, wait a second, stroke up, wait a second, stroke down, wait a second etc etc.

Hand pumps are a solid option as a primary means of filling smaller tanks, especially if you have a few to avoid having to pump during lunch breaks. They're good for topping up larger tanks if needed, but I don't think they're particularly suitable as a primary fill method for larger tanks. My personal experience would also say hand pumping much over 3000PSI would be really hard, so would definitely advise against it for tanks that go North of 3000PSI.

I could be entirely wrong, but I imagine the fact you had those clowns in Basingstoke turning up at some woods to playing during this lockdown and got caught isn't insignificant in it. At least that's the conclusion I landed on as to why airsoft specifically was mentioned, because it's generally pretty rare airsoft gets singled out for anything outside of the things regarding RIFs.

If you've got any anger I'd be aiming it toward selfish dickheads that think they're above the restrictions alongside any ill feeling you have toward the government. But yeah, on the whole we have it pretty good over here versus others as far as airsoft goes... though it's certainly a unique one in that it could theorically just vanish at any point in time.
