Gunna pop in here as Ive got a bit of a issue with my MWS.
Ive got the annoying issue of Semi auto "run on". Basically if I fire the gun continuously in semi, it will some times it will fire more than one shot.
I did service the trigger pack with a small amount of Superlube MP grease, but Ive since learned/remembered that the MWS trigger pack doesnt like grease. So since Ive flushed it out with silicone spray as advised by Ollie Talks Airsoft. How ever he did mention about replacing the hammer? Nothing on what exactly. But sometimes as ive been testing this issue returns.
Ive said bugger it, and ordered a GM Full spring set. I do have a Dytac spring set in the trigger box currently but its several years old now.
I do also have a GM adjustable sear B for the trigger pull, and adjustable flat face trigger, but all grub screws are OUT so they dont do anything currently.
Curious if anyone else has run into this issue, and if so share your fix?
Video of the issue here:

Bolt stop issue?
Using a heavier buffer will negate the performance of the high speed bolt. -

If its a struggle, I do have a complete Madbull Mk18 handguard set up which I ran on my MWS for a little while
All you need is either a barrel adapter or a different outer barrel, like the laylax modular one. -

I've just ordered a SixG Supernub, was wondering though.
Wont it eventually cut the bucking cause its so hard?
Also, which nozzle spring set should you get? Do you need a regular, 120%, 150%?
Ive had mine for years. It leaves a witness mark on the rubber but no cuts.
For Nozzle spring strength, you only need to up is rate if you increase your ROF dramatically. I would think that makes sense. So stock to 120% should be perfectly fine -

Would molybdenum dysulfide like abbey lt2 be good for lubricating the bolt or is there something better
Google Super Lube Multi Purpose Synthetic Grease
Grey tube, does any thing and everything and wont eat your seals.
Brilliant video (And I HIGHLY recommend their other videos)

Nice, why not semi lock it and bump it up too 425?
Kinda wanna keep it standard power as the optic can be on one power and act like a red dot.
I do have a spare bolt, so its possible to get a spare safety and DMR it. Might think about it in the future see how I feel -
My MWS Mk12 Mod H (ish) build is about 90% finished.
Used a Double Bell AEG as a donor. Spent a fair bit of time working the barrel nut on and off to get it to cut on but I did it.
Drilled and tapped threads to accommodate a longer bottom rail.
1-6x24 vector optics, optic. Works like a red dot on 1 power.im just gunna run this on standard power. Just polish up the stock Uber barrel again and run it on 0.32’s
i love a normal kitted out mk18, but how many mk12’s do you see about?

Has anyone fitted a BavTac MHN hop nub to their musket? Curious to see how these stack up against the mighty SixG
Looks like its made for flat hop / R hop style hop rubbers. A 3d printed version of Maple Leaf's omega Nub
Different nubs work best with different rubbers. The SiXG will probably always work best with your normal mound type rubbers. -

As standard TM's should lift .28s......
Not all of them do. TM's are often optimised for 0.25's. Its kinda luck of the draw if they lift a .28g
My MWS's nub was so squishy, it would hardly lift a 0.28. I had it torn down the first week I owned it to replace the nub for a solid H style one. -

T1 looks really good actually, is it a sight I can use to hit my target though? Bought some airsoft grade sights before and they were awful.
Ive bought a fair share of cheap sights, obviously you get what you pay for.
But most of the T1's ive used Ive hit my targets. Case of making sure you set your hop then set your zero -
Depends, I like T1 style or a eotech style sight.
How ever im getting a LVPO for my current MWS project -

It’s the hammer and BBU. All WE’s suffer from it eventually. My personal favourite fix is new BBU plus a roller bearing hammer wheel.
The worn BBU causes loads of friction on the hammer bearing, which in every WE or WE based Glock I’ve owned has been the issue.
Depending upon the wear of the BBU, you might get away with just a hammer wheel bearing
Explains the resistance from the slide.
Ill look into a new BBU and hammer bearing for him. -
So, where do I begin?
My good friend has had a WE Glock 19 back when he first started playing. Its now 5+ years old. And has a slightly neglected life.
He got himself a lovely new TM P226 now as a second pistol, and I asked to take his 19 so I can service it and work out its kinks.
So I gave the guns slide, and hammer assembly a full strip, clean and re lube using Super Lube Multi Purpose synthetic. The dog gonads Ive been told and it is rather good!
I used a bit of silicone oil inside the nozzle for a slightly thinner lube as I found that helps bump compression. Certainly did with my SRS when I had that.
I retested it and to be fair, FPS is around 240, 20FPS off my TM Glock 19 but that has a nineball 6.00 inner barrel. But my god the blow back is weak as all hell.
So I tried the WE mags in the TM, and they are fine, nice and strong blow back.
I tried my TM's Cow Cow hammer group in the WE. And no change, this rules out a weak hammer spring.
Im starting to think nozzle / piston cup seal and maybe a stronger hammer spring? I inspected the nozzle but couldnt find anything totally obvious. Could it been a worn firing pin? But again installing my Cow Cow group didnt change much at all.

Has anyone done stuff with the hop up? I know it takes AEP rubbers.

Hello, do you have a price in mind? I would be interested in this!
Well im hoping people would give me a sensible appraisal for it. Its hard to guage, but maybe cause of the parts, mag count etc £375? Ive seen them go for £250 with a single high cap mag or drum mag but I dont know. -

"Baton Airsoft in Japan"
So a plastic slide?
Sounds like it. But I wouldnt confuse the Baton's Gen 5 with GHK's. You can see from the finish in the first post its a metal slide on the GHK. -

2020 edition Scorpion Evo:
Purchased new from Platoon Stores back in 2020 (if thats of any relevance)
Wired deans from factory.
9.9 LiFE battery
7 mid cap magazines
Ball bearing spring guide
UK-FOB Stock adapter
Zuhkov AK Stock
Paske Sapper handguard
Carry Case
Silencer adapter
Internals are not modified. Shoots perfectly fine, on all modes.
Bad bits:
BB strike to mock bolt.
Sling adapter that sits behind the handguard is missing, but no doubt a lot of second hand Evo's are.
Had to modify the outer barrel to fit the handguard, rather do that to a £60 part than a £150 handguard. Not visible and doesnt effect fitment of the stock handguard.
Really not sure on what it is worth?

Where are people getting their Magpul handguards from? Seems like Pixy dust at the moment

Hey folks been a while since I needed a little technical help.
So about 10 months in with use around every 4 weeks and nearly 10k shots in, I have noticed something on my bolt whilst cleaning. There is a notch that has been made in the the bolt from it slamming into the roller in the trigger group.
It now has a very noticable indent when you rack the bolt resulting in the bolt 'sticking' about half way through its travel.
Has anyone else experienced this with a similar aged MWS?
Would the thing to do be to just file it smooth like the red line here?...
This is normal. Every MWS does this. You can shave it down and smooth it off, but it will return. Its where the bolt hits the buffer stop -

2FA via Google Authenticator is now enabled. You may set this up here: https://airsoft-forums.uk/settings/account-security/
This will remain an optional - encouraged - choice, but it's there nontheless for those who want it. It's only currently configured to prompt when changing certain account settings or when logging in from a new device. New users will be informed of this feature when signing in for the first time.
Blimey thank you. This will save a lot of agro and certainly help stop people hijacking accounts -
Just in the process of speaking to the Forum admins.
Ive had a recent breach of security on my account. And a very dodgy advert was posted under my account.
Of which the admins have done their job. But the actual guilty party here now has had been told off for something Ive not done. (Dont take this the wrong way, as stated speaking to Jedi_Master on this)
A lot of places do 2 factor authentication. Im not sure if a system can be put in place for here? Its saved my accounts many times before for gaming etc.

Had my preorder conformation come through, hurrah!
So question time:
Recommend me a battery to fit the Magpul handguard please?
Im probably going to be a heathen and get the drum mag and adapter unless I can find magazines.

So to add to this issue in case anyone suffers the same:
Now having zero issues with Semi auto run on. Even readjusted my adjustable trigger and sears and works lovely.
Figured I put a means to an end some if someone searches for this issue.
