Pewpewpetie reacted to BigStew in Glock mag orings
It doesn't need to be square but TM OEM ones are. Options are if it's leaking from the base plate is to soak the rubber in silicon oil it should swell up to give you a seal. If that doesn't work Google Tokyo Marui/WE Glock rebuild kit. If that don't work your mag casing maybe warped and it maybe case of Ptf tape or worst case it's beyond repair. The other thing to think about is a rebuild kit is 10 to 14 quid that will give you enough seals to fix multiple mags or a TM mag can be got new for £25 WE for £22.

Thanks for letting us know, it's fascinating how airsoft produces these weird effects. If you'd described the defect that you've sorted and asked me to guess what problem it was causing, I'd 100% have gone with misfeeding rather than airseal problems. But... airsoft.

Managed to solve it, yes tried 2 X core chronos, using asg accuracy 0.3g. turns out inside the hi cap, where the BBS feed up there was a spur of plastic which was not allowing BBS to move freely. I stripped mag down and filed off the bit, now everything is fine. Many thanks for your input.

Have you tested the chrono with another gun just to make sure it's reading consistently? Also what ammo are you using a miss shaped BB could cause the drop. Next I would check the barrel make sure it's not damaged, hop unit make sure rubber is not damaged or and loose parts in the unit it's self. After that it would be open up the gear box check piston seals though odd it's not consistent.

But did you wash your balls? Nobrich says that it's very important to wash your balls before smacking them into someone else's face.

My FPS varies by more than that and I don't get flyers like you seem to!

the problem with that sort of thing is the consistency you're getting.
if the same rounds that are going through the chrono are also going all over the place (ie no changes to the setup between chrono/range shot) then it really shouldn't be an airseal issue.
you can get it with mags, if your testing on a half empty midcap or a hicap then go to test shoot on a stuffed midcap, the friction on the nozzle from the bb stack holds the nozzle back and gives temporary airseal issues.

Classifieds -> never keen skirmished -> shoots like a laser.

Had to use the ptfe tape for now as don't have any other o rings. Gona have to set it aside for a Few days then try again. Stressful is an understatement

No, basic mechanical trigger, 7.4v 25c lipo,22tpa high torque motor with 13:1 gears, AOE corrected and sector delay switch

Believe at last I have figured it out, the cylinder/piston head. I believe the o ring was to thick. Was creating a great seal, but wasn't allowing the ported piston head to vent on retraction, which then created a slight suction in barrel. So my guess is, if that bb hasn't left the barrel completely by the time the piston begins retracting then some of the air being used to propel the bb will be sucked back into the cylinder. Will be testing later once the winds and rain stop

I'd take that offer, I think it's the only realistic option left at this point.

Right so , still no joy, I've tried a different barrel (standard and a zci) all are doing the same. I think it's time to give up, I do have a 3 fps deviation but I can't imagine that 3 fps would cause this. These are Chrono readings on 0.28g asg. Going to try playing with the hop arm as this is literally the only thing left, my last guess is that there is some vertical play on the arm causing different pressure to be applied each shot
No residue anywhere, barrel is clean, tried new r hop patch, g&g green , prommy purple and a selection of nubs and still get it. It has to be the hop arm, some kind of vertical movement
Yeah tried shooting the cat but bb curved hahahahahah( I didn't really)

Back to basics...
1. Clean the barrel.
2. Wind the hop up back to minimum then try adjusting to get desired result.
My sons G&G GC16 had issues, the hop up and dirt were the problems that was causing inconsistent shot placement.
Once cleaned and adjusted, problem solved.

It bad JuJu, you need to perform a shamanic ritual. Have you got any animals that you could use as a sacrifice?

No, I only used the adjustable nozzle to measure correct size then I replace with one of that measurement

Hmm, that is curious, you've covered most things that I'd have suggested: energy consistency, hop unit, and hop rubber. Airsoft gnus aren't that complicated, it's just puff, spin and point.
Is the energy really consistently consistent? Prowin, meh, but if that's a ZCI rotary hop, I wouldn't expect issues with it.
If puff and spin are consistent, the only thing that leaves is point, i.e. the barrel. Given what you've already done, I'd assume you've cleaned the barrel as well and had a look down it for obvious imperfections?
You could sling in one from your MP5 or AK and see if it's more consistent (even at a different energy), or ZCI or AOLS are both decent choices for not much money.

Pewpewpetie reacted to Adolf Hamster in General aeg range
speaking as the perspective of someone who's entire style of play revolves around maximizing range you'd be surprised how often people actually do stand around and let you shoot them.
most often it's people simply not expecting you to be able to hit them, until you do.....
even funnier is how often you'll see people just coming back to the same spot or taking the same route that you literally tagged them in all of 5 minutes prior.....

You can get hits at longer range, on targets who helpfully stand still while you figure out where your BBs are hooking, slicing, lobbing or dropping at this exact point in time.
Anyone who tells you that their gnu shoots like a laser out to 70m is delusional, or trying to sell it to you.
