I'm thinking of getting a Type 89 as well but am really off put by the nozzle issue and lack of replacement. Are you still able to make the 3D printed nozzles and if so, would it be possible to purchase a few from you? Thanks.

Well the reason im hpaing it is because the base gun I have is a we g3 gas blowback rifle XD. Its literally just a matter of putting a hpa adapter in the mag. I mean once all the parts are made I might start selling kits. We will see how it comes out. Im just working on making the handguard at the mo and have done a few test bits for the belt feed mech.  I mean ideally it would be great to have an onboard gas supply but I dont really se a good way to do that

Would love to see the finished product but why hpa it? I'm sure many of us would bite your arm off for it as an AEG.

    *cough* like ME *cough*

p.s. practice your hpa on something that wouldn't be considered unicorn poo.

So im working on a hk21 machinegun project. The base gun is a we g3 and i plan to hpa tap the original mag and hide it and the fitting inside the box mag. Anyone run a lot of gas blowback full auto around? Any advice would be appreciated as apart from testing guns I got to re sell this is my first experience with hpa.

So a while ago I started to build a hk21e machinegun based on a jg g3 but the gun was a bit screwed and I made a bit of a hash of upgrading it so That rather killed my motivation for working on that. I recently sold off that gun as part of my process of swapping entirely to gbbrs. Having watched a few explosive enterprises vids I decided to give this another go. This time the base gun is a we gbb g3. It came to me with the barrel shortened and Ive just picked up a proper hk21e style clubfoot stock for it. Im planning to model and print most of the bits for it in plastic and then send them off to be done in aluminium when im finished. This is just the first step.

1 new sight block that just sits on the cocking tube and dosent go down to the barrel.

2 front handguard cap with a block hidden under it which bolts to the handguard pinhole to keep everything rigid

3 a sleeve to go over the barrel to give it the proper machinegun profile. I have sanded and painted this bit since the proper barrel is tapered and making one of these in metal would be a pain. will probably leave it plastic. It just screws onto the outer barrel nut and gets pinned in place by the flash hider.

next up is to make the rear handguard cap and order some steel or aluminium tube to make the actual handguard. Ill be building a pinhole into the rear handguard cap where the belt feed mechanism attaches. This would normally be on the reciever instead of the magwell but Im trying to make this in a way which requires as little modification to the base gun as possible. Once the belt feed assembly is made ill be making a box mag to slot onto it, fitting the guts of a 249 box in there, hpa tapping the original mag and drilling a hole in the front for bbs to feed in from a spring tube. Im not really a fan of hpa but for a gbb lmg like this its simply the best option.

Looks good! Though I had to do a double take at first. That sling made me briefly think it had a thumbhole stock on it XD

So im a big fan of bulpups and for a while I was planning to build a hbar aug but that sort of fell by the wayside and then I ended up selling all my aegs barring a few lmgs and swapped to gbbrs. id still like a gbbr bulpup but as cool as the ghk aug or kwa f90 looks id rather keep using mags I already have as all of my current gbb guns are tokyo marui so I have mws and akm mags and parts spare. So I decided to make my own based on the vhs 2 . Found a reasonably accurate model online which im using as a basis but Im rebuilding it to actually be in the proper component parts as this one is all one solid piece. If all goes well I should be able to drop an mws trigger box and nozzle into it.  The bolt is the one part Im a little worried about. i intend to have it running on bearing rollers to remove the usual friction of 3d prints rubbing together but I may need to weight it a little or it will bash itself to death.

So the original nozzle in pla+ lasted consistently for around 800 shots before the loading tab snapped. While im fine with swapping my nozzle out after a game day while im maintaining it I cant really sell it without some better longevity. Here is version 3. It has a seperate loading tab printed lengthways which increases the strength a lot. It is quite heavily reinforced now so it wont take the little faux bolt head the original had but Thats not a big loss. Now to test it  and see how long it lasts

My wood and steel tm akm was looking lonely on the rack so I Grabbed a second hand one and dunked it in the zenitco knockoff bucket. Probably going to strip the last of the paint at some point but I cant be bothered right now
