  1. Just got the trousers in, they are a little long in the legs but luckily there is a drawstring on the leg cuffs which means that while baggy they won't be going over my ankles. They're comfortable too. Only think I don't like is the button up part in place of a zip
  2. Yeah, I noticed all the stuff I wanted from Grey Shop and Military.ru (I think it's called) was gone almost as soon as the Ukraine war started, I wanted to originally do a Metro 2033 build as that is my favourite game series of all time. Aaaaand as soon as I start getting my rig together for this loadout I find a vest that looks much closer to the vest on the Monolith suit! 😠
  3. Damn, that IS a shame! I'd love to get something like that, I remember it used to be available back in 2019 but very limited. I don't know why, but I always found myself drawn to the Monolith in the Stalker games lol.
  4. As it arrives I will provide links to all the things I buy, that way if you like the look you guys can buy it too if you're interested. This is the chest rig I bought: https://www.military1st.co.uk/13530001-mil-tec-chest-rig-olive.html?gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQiAkKqsBhC3ARIsAEEjuJjz90Sm9GXOr1WvnJo3uIVB0X6QPABFZfO9dksiSEgip-Z_rr5gDCcaAhrbEALw_wcB And here is the MOLLE assault vest: https://www.military1st.co.uk/04613b-mfh-vest-molle-light-olive.html Hook and loop tape for the jacket (it has no velcro): https://www.amazon.co.uk/Strong-Fastener-Assembly-Junction-Applications/dp/B0C1XH3C2N/ref=mp_s_a_1_8?crid=381LGZN9R0J15&keywords=hook+and+loop+tape+olive+green&qid=1704836939&sprefix=hook+and+loop+tape+olive+green%2Caps%2C74&sr=8-8 Tactical Balaclava: https://www.uktactical.com/product/511-balaclava-black-19182 Gloves: https://www.uktactical.com/product/warrior-omega-hard-knuckle-glove-olive-12996 The Urban BDU trousers: https://www.military1st.co.uk/11810022-mil-tec-bdu-ranger-combat-trousers-urban.html?gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQiAkKqsBhC3ARIsAEEjuJjI5jNdWORhfGbap8h1Z0IDeFKMCjNzMNBSP-RzX3pjTupGQl_AzNUaAkiDEALw_wcB I have a tactical ski mask and some hook and loop tape on the way for when I buy the jacket and patches. And this stuff fits really well, and it feels durable for the respective prices I paid for them. All in all, things are coming together nicely.
  5. I just got this MFH assault vest and Mil-Tec chest rig, it's the beginning of my loadout of the Monolith faction from Stalker. It's not 100% faithful to the games, but I will still make it look good and be built for airsoft rather than cosplay.
  6. It was some time in 2019 I bought the gun so the mags are around the same age near enough. If the new mags seem to be better I might look at buying direct from G&G just to make sure the mags I get are as new as possible. I even marked the two that don't work. When the pistol works it is flawless and extremely fun to shoot.
  7. First bits of my loadout ordered, practical? Maybe not, but I want it to look close. And by the way, I mean this thread to be a way on how I am building my look, and it is intended to help others if they're a fan of Stalker.
  8. I want to make this clear to anyine who decides to leave a smart ass comment on my post (go ahead, honestly.) That I feel that G&G are an amazing company and thry helped me massively when the mag it came with didn't work and promptly sent out a new one. No company is perfect and every company releases something that may not be the best thing ever, I chalk this experience up to bad luck as opposed to a bad job, it may be a fault in the gun itself for all I know, I'm no gun tech or expert, just a regular guy.
  9. I've owned a G&G GPM92 for a few years and I like to think that the issues I had were more teething issues but I wonder if anyone had a similar issue or not: Basically the valve seems to stick out too much on all but one mag I have. Being propreitary mags they have the added issue that they only fit that model, more to that, they still (to my knowledge) haven't come up with a valve tool to fit the valve in the mag. I noticed this because I use propane instead of green gas (with a couple drops of silicon oil to protect the O-rings. This is not a call out post or anything of the like, I just want to know if anyone else now or back a few years ago have this issue, and if you fixed it, how did you do it?
  10. Lol, I only buy from the cleanest places
  11. Problem is, the camo used in game is not a real one, it's based off a Russian urban camo, closest I found was a US style Urban BDU pattern, which a fair few modders implemented as well as other cosplayers. Although I appreciate you bringing the Norwegian camo to my attention as I firg9t about the norther European side of things
  12. Basically lol. I found most of the stuff, including the assault vest and chest rig. Even found some urban BDU that would look decent. And the rifle doesn't matter since the Monolith uses all the weapons in the game series from your basic AK to rare weapons like the F2000 and gauss rifles.
  13. For reference: this is the monolith look from the Stalker games
  14. This thread will follow a journey of me slowly building my Monolith loadout from the Stalker series using various airsoft gear, also this is an area for tips and tricks, or maybe your own Stalker styled loadouts. Please enjoy.
  15. Never? Are you sure? What part of the comapny are you from? Because I know Parrot who was the guy I delt with, please, by all means prove to me that I haven't been to your store in that time because I can tell you that I was there, and this is outright incorrect, they put a Specna orion in my gun with my permission to fit in a gate aster Also, can you prove that you are a part of the team? Because I checked your website and there isn't a woman in management or otherwise, so I know that your statement is an outright lie.
  16. When I took the gun into the shop I showed them the issue with the original motor, they listened to me explain the problem, so they suggest a high torque motor which I was fine with, but then we start chatting airsoft components and I mention wanting to put a decent mosfet in the gun because I wanted to run a higher voltage but also protect the motor and other components, they mentioned they had one ready for installation and I was really up for it, like comic character having stars for pupils level excited (cringe I know). Two weeks later they tell me that the aster wasn't compatible with the original gearbox, I did think about it but went ahead anyway, the only real point of pressure was when I got the gun back they kept trying to sell me a metal hop unit that I didn't really want. As said in part 1, I completely understand that I should've listened to my gut instinct and left the original gearbox but I was too excited. That is what happened with the process, basically the nature of this post was more of a... vent, I suppose? With a warning if anyone else came forward, but I was fuming when I typed the OP because of the extra money I have to spend getting the gun rebuilt. My tech is currently sending puctures, I assume he's going to send it with the invoice in my Email. Once again, I am sorry if my story seems misleading or untrue, tbh with the amount of false claims made about anything else I too would take this with a pinch (or spoon) of salt and treat this skeptically. As I type I am remembering small details (some larger than others admittedly) so it presents a whole new problem, it's trait I've had all my life especially because of my learning disabilities. So this is actually the one plausible pic I took before sending to the tech, it was taken after we got the gearbox out, the second pic on part one was most definitely me trying to get the body pin back in as I had issues with the phillips screws in the pistol grip.
  17. As I am explaining things I remember details, it's a bad trait in my personality, things I don't remember come up at random, it's part of my learning disabilities, I've had it all my life. What I have mentioned in that timeline is exactly what happened, when I got the gun I tested it at home and it cycled fine but didn't feed properly so I left it for months until I could afford new mags, found the stated mags worked but then recently I ran into the nozzle issue. I have nothing else to prove here, I know how I have put myself in an impossible position, and I know that had I just thought about what the hell I was typing in the first place (because I was very angry about what had been discovered) then I wouldn't be in this mess right now. To be honest I do regret this because I've put myself in a hole and now I've made myself loom like a comolete liar when I know that isn't the case
  18. So, between me testing a new mag, believe it or not, I haven't actually been on the field with it because I was having feeding issues, this is probably what happened, tbh I am thinking of just taking these down, it might look bad but the thing is I won't get anywhere doing this, although there was one thing my dad pointed out when he helped me get the pistol grip off (because I rounded a screw using the wrong size head) was that the shell screws were loose Yeah, on the odd occasion, maybe 6 months a couple shots, nothing significant God damnit, I'm literally making myself look like a liar, what I meant is that I haven't taken it to a game in over 18 months
  19. Of course, and a couple things I did buy, like BBs and a gunsight, they are of decent quality, they work as intended so that part is deserving of the praise. Most, if not all are aimed towards the actual shop and service related, not the tech work, that is important to note.
  20. Yeah, that's what happened. I don't like leaving negative reviews or really confronting anyone about it, but on the surface things seemed fine, I had no reason to complain because I rarely-if ever open the gearbox, this is literally the first time, I trusted the person working on my gun.
  21. So basically I have yet to return to the field, from sorthing out what mags I can actually run in the gun (mainly because of the previous compatibility issues not related to the tech) and just a general lack of money and time due to work and other living expenses, so I have resorted to testing the guns at home on my back garden on the odd occasion I actually get anything new which is rare. I have never taken a gun apart before until I did to replace the air seal nozzle, of which I did a lot of research to make sure I didn't break anything (luckily I didn't). The tech my gun is currently with will be sending pics to me at some point. And the reason I never took my gun apart was because I was always afraid to do that in case I messed something up, I'm not as seasoned with tech stuff as you guys might be, I'm also not as likely to take my stuff to a tech often because I can't afford it, so when I discover it it is almost always too late
  22. To anyone asking about when the tech work was done, I did some thinking, it was definitely in the summer of 2022, sometime around July or August time, the exact date I don't remember.
  23. Yeah, I do want to hear their version of events. Thing is I am mad at myself more than anyone for going ahead with it, but I am also mad because I feel like I have been ripped off big time, I feel stupid. And dragging a company through the mud was the last think I wanted to do but I've done it now, so we just have to wait and see.
  24. I think the amount is more the issue, I'll get Matt to send me photos to show, because he didn't want to risk removing anything and wrecking it entirely This was last year in the summer, if I recall correctly Fair enough, I don't mind you doing that, fact is I am kind of screwed either way because I'm not getting money back, and I know that nobody else is going to come forward, I was really angry when I typed this out.
