  1. Hey all, I've decided to go down the DMR route with my MWS, it currently has the 14inch outer barrel with the standard 250mm inner. Ive just crooned it at 315 FPS on a .2 BB. Having a read through would I be right in assuming that a longer barrel will get me near DMR territory or is this grossly over estimated? I am running the stock hop chamber but with a Maple leaf bucking & nub, accuracy is brilliant though it seems hop can be somewhat inconsistent every now and then. Ive seen the first factory strike arm, will this help stabilise the effectiveness of the hop or should I be looking at a new chamber? Thanks
  2. Thanks, I was at the right angle as I have to do that with my adapter I’m gonna assume it’s just the can? WE Green 2x gas. It’s was 20 degrees C so warm enough. It’s more the gas in that no matter what angle, pressure etc it just spits out the side freezing up around the fill valve.
  3. The WE can has a plastic nozzle, my propane adapter on the other hand has a metal nozzle and fills fine what’s the fill and tilt method? No matter what angle, duration etc it just doesn’t accept gas with the WE can
  4. Hey, bit of advice please. I’ve owned my MWS for years now and have always used Coleman’s propane with an adapter. I had run out so bought some WE green gas on site over the weekend. I couldn’t for the life of me get the mags to accept more 10 shots worth of gas it just spewed out? Anyone have any ideas as to why
  5. Hey All, just a quick report on some issues (not really) that I experienced today with my MWS at a skirmish The morning was cold so I swapped out my Aluminium Buffer for the OG plastic one. I noticed when loading up more of a twang from the buffer spring, I put it down to the lesser weighted OG buffer.... down to firing it felt slightly sluggish, but I cracked on all day. I only typically use semi so when the day was over and I unloaded my mags using full auto was like an old hand cranked machine gun. I closed the stock and noticed a spring noise, taking the stock off i noticed the end cap had come clean off. The small retaining screw had jumped ship but it is threaded so should be okay for now. Realistically I’m quite impressed, with such a bad ‘malfunction’ it still worked, all day. Gas efficiency was poor, but power was OK and it didn’t miss a beat. to top it off, the site I played at was super dry / dusty. My MWS was absolutely filthy, the bolt was covered all over in crap as was the nozzle. But again it ran like a champ. I’ve had pistols with less dirt in them fail. the point of this post is double pronged, I’m curious to know if anyone else has had the buffer tube cap unscrew? but more importantly I’m super impressed with its reliability, I’ve owned this for a good while now and I’m still like a big kid every time I get to use it
  6. I had some issues with my fairly new (sub 2 months old) MWS, that was the hop was shocking and the rifle was so inaccurate. Took it apart and the stock rubber was very deformed as was the stock nub. Replaced with ML Autobot & omega nub..... the difference is unreal! Accuracy is spot on and the range is amazing
  7. What’s the consensus on these? Supposedly they have some improvements over the gen 3? though from memory I’ve seen on a Facebook group people are having issues with the slide catch wearing the slide down? thanks
  8. Thanks bud, just ordered a new bucking and nub here’s hoping it fixes it 🤘
  9. Hey, just done some plinking and for what ever reason my MWS has become insanely inaccurate. Hop wise it’s hit or miss but most seem to have the same hop but the left/right is all over place 😞 Rifle is like a month and half old now and stock inside Running .28’s
  10. Your a star, thank you again ill report back once it arrives
  11. Hey, does anyone know if it is only the ICS Mount that fits the side rail or will any standard ak Mount fit? Thanks
  12. Cheers chaps Hoe do you find the 45T ? I’ve decided to permanently forget the M17 or anything VFC. For the same money I can buy the 45T and it comes with a suppressor over the FNX
  13. Hey all i need some advice/help deciding which route to take, I love the look of the M17 but the awful QC reports I’m seeing from every post so far seems to say to stay clear..... the off putting factor on the other hand for the Marui is the seeming inability to use propane with it? Any truth here? Thanks
  14. If you are UK based and are buying UK Stock the trades will be there, they are just as good as an official 'licence' Though due to Umarex (largely) retailers have to advise they are removed.... they are inferior etc If you are stateside they genuinely file/cut them out at import.
  15. I've been softing for 17 years now, ever since i was 16. Wow time fly's. I have so many epic stories, moments and memories from over this time. Met some great people, some not so and had some insane moments. In reality, bar the sheer amount of gear you can get now, affordably not much has changed from what i can remember. Battery tech is the most obvious change and very welcome, gone are the days of trying to cram a days softing in with the great big batteries of yesteryear. I've owned pretty much every type of gun, (AEG, GBB) from the OG brands These where only Marui & CA really when i started, well that is all i ever bought from Fire support. Up until maybe a year or so ago i had my CA M16A4 that was my second ever purchase, it would be 17 years old now and it still worked fantastically, only having 1 rebuild ever before we parted ways, it had been my main weapon for at least 6-8 years. Fire support at the time where easily the go to shop, though i frequently placed HUGE orders from Japan. I have introduced so many people into the scene over the years, i started taking my brother in law when he was 12, hes now mid 20's and we still go a couple times a month.
  16. Does anyone here run a 'suppressor' i know they make a tiny difference generally speaking but something to calm the report down to people at a slight distance? i find every time i engage they know to look my way lol (woodland setting)
  17. how does it fair in the cold? never handled a VFC so it would be my first experience as such. though I had my wires crossed it seems the 19X co2 version isn’t by VFC so I’d be looking at the GG version.... thanks
  18. He’s got the bug 😂 good job there!
  19. Thanks Frizzle, I’m all honesty I haven’t seen much of the half blowback version I’ve only been looking at the full one. ive used KWC 1911’s for ever now and want to keep that reliability of CO2 but have the option to run GG mags when the weather permits. The GG version though does seem to have amazing efficiency which might even negate the need for co2 if it works well even when it’s cold out
  20. Hey, it’s the full BB version I was looking at. Are they no good then?
  21. Hey all, searched for some info on this but couldn’t find much. does anyone have one? I’m tempted to buy the CO2 version but as spare mags seem impossible to find I was planning on buying some GG mags. Will it work okay with standard gas mags? From all I can tell there is some reinforcements to the frame but no mention of heavier springs etc Thanks
  22. Good job there! How did you get that finish?
