  1. using the plastic airsoft innovations one. tm mws magazines are the only gas mags that seem to have a problem with it for me.
  2. Doesn't surprise me considering he's just had two friends turn him down, wouldn't want be 1000 euros short either.
  3. £12 for 3 valves. Plus i didn't see the original TM ones. Probably a safer bet (to go with TM)?
  4. If its worth anything, the MWS magazine I have with the TM Hi-Capa fill valve doesn't have a silent o-ring installed and it takes propane really well (audible hiss, and no visible propane spitting except when the mag was full). Really need to get round to installing the Laylax ones, they were 12 quid a pop for 3 of them and if they do the job like the original TM ones do it would be money well spent. I have noticed that the intake nozzle on the MWS fill valve is a different size (slightly smaller diameter) to the Hi-Capa ones and I believe this may be why it doesn't like propane adapters.
  5. Had the same problem, but noticed my TM hi-capa magazines take propane perfectly, so I took the fill valve from one of those and swapped it into my MWS magazine, takes propane like a charm. Ordered some Laylax fill valves but havent had the chance to install. In short, MWS fill valves dont like propane but replace it with any OTHER TM fill valve and it takes propane fine.
  6. Longer inner barrel, tighter inner barrel, NPAS.
  7. Don't think its my filling technique, as the magazines fill fine with a proper green gas bottle. Edit: Swapped the MWS fill valve in one of my magazines with one from one of my Hi-Capa magazines, and it fills up with propane perfectly fine now! Looking at the fill valves in further detail, i noticed that the nozzle inside the MWS one is smaller in length (and slightly smaller in diameter) to my Hi-Capa one. Will be ordering some Laylax Fill valves to mod the rest of my magazines.
  8. Then it seems all 8 of my MWS magazines have damaged fill valves! i'll swap the valves later on and keep the thread updated.
  9. It's defo not the adapter, nor the current propane bottle (using Colemans) im using, as said it fills TM Hi-Capa magazines and WE M4 magazines perfectly fine. I'm going to swap the fill valve from one of my hi-capa magazines to one of mws magazines, as I believe i've noticed a difference in the internal nozzle lengths which may be affecting it.
  10. Anyone else have issues using an Airsoft Innovations Propane adapter filling MWS magazines? I have green gas and non green gas modded magazines, and both magazines just spews propane everywhere without taking any in. The adapter and propane both work with my other GBB mags (WE M4, TM Hi-Capa) Any suggestions? Prehaps install some silent o-rings? These magazines spew only a very small amount of gas if its from a Green gas bottle (tried nuprol 2.0 and 3.0, they both fill them fine!)
  11. Go for an Airsoft Innovations propane adapter, its plastic, but a very strong plastic and isn't as prone to freezing up compared to the metal versions, I found mine cheaper on Ebay but waited a while to get it. Propane i get for around £9 to £10 from GoOutdoors with their discount card (£5 for one year). So it ends up being roughly the same price as a Green gas bottle but you get roughly 50% more gas per bottle. For valve keys just google Tokyo Marui Valve key, can't even remember what brand mine was but I got it off ebay and it works perfectly for my TM pistol mags and the MWS magazines, you'll want one that has 3 different heads attached to it. Edit: I think my key is an Element one.
  12. When i was wrapping around the bolt catch it was to put tape under it, so i have more tape under the catch, with some going all around it to hold it in place. Tried Tarkov, not my thing at all.
  13. mine catches 100% of the time, have you tried loosening the screw on the BAD lever a little bit?
  14. nope, cant help you there, sorry.
  15. nah just took off the upper completely so i didn't bang it around when wrapping the tape around the catch. I also discovered that if I have the screw for the bad lever on too tight then the catch won't engage, so make sures yours is a little loose (tiny bit of play between the 2 parts of the bad lever)
  16. Let me know how it goes!
  17. I think its to do with the magazine pushing the bolt catch up, you can still lock back the bolt with the lever on by pushing up on the lever. I think the follower on the magazine doesn't have enough force behind it to lift the lever. Might require shimming the bolt catch or magazine follower, but thats complete speculation. Edit: AND problem solved! See pic related, i wrapped a layer of electrical tape completely around the part that engages the bolt catch (interfaces with the magazine follower). Bolt catch works fine with the BAD lever now, just had to get my lazy ass to do it.
  18. I tried installing a BAD lever on my MWS too, it doesn't allow the bolt catch to engage properly either, I've tried filling the lever for a better fit, but I have a theory that its the weight of the lever that stops the bolt catch from engaging properly. I'm yet to find a solution.
  19. Cannot completely confirm (only played once) but the ACOG scope itself didn't seem to lose zero (I never actually properly zero'd it on the game day as the BBs where hitting close enough to where I was aiming), so it could just be a really shitty docter sight they add on top, theres a few docter sights available on the market that I could potentially swap to, but I found aiming down the ACOG (given its short eye relief) was an absolute pain in the ass. Does your Element Holographic hold zero then? I have their PEQ-15 box and impressed with the quality given the price point. Thanks for your explanation on the green gas mod, nice and detailed.
  20. First skirmish report with the MWS - a mixed bag The upsides Using .32s, range and accuracy was more than acceptable, reckon it could be improved with a good clean of the bucking and prehaps a new IB. But it can wait. Semi and full auto superb. The downsides... Spring in the charging handle broke, small part snapped off, so the handle is loose and can bounce about when firing. The Docter sight on my ACOG broke after one mag!!!! Irritating really. Also realised that aiming down the acog is a PITA. Even in the fucking heat the mags couldn't always reliably spit out all the rounds, DEFO need to green gas mod now!!! (thought I could wait till the temp starts dropping) Angrygun l119a2 gets loose, fucking stupid design using two grub screws to secure it to a round barrel nut, I'll have to find some DIY mod to secure it. Looking for suggestions on good short range sights (i.e Holographics or similar) that don't lose zero or fall apart from the recoil. (No real steel please, i'm a student for fecks sake!!!) Going to perform the Green gas mod on my magazines soon, any tips and tricks appreciated. Most of my problems were not the gun in itself, Im still impressed by Tokyo Marui, as usual!

  22. Well here she is. My L119A2 inspired MWS. Partslist: PTS Ergo grip Magpul CTR clone Angry Gun L119A2 carbine rail Angry Gun Surefire Flash Hider for L119A2 G&P 10.5" Outer Barrel for MWS (Part of the TM MWS Instrumentality project set by G&P) Modify Tan Bucking + SixG Super Nub Stock IB JJ Airsoft ACOG + Docter (eye relief is shite but oh well its for looks mainly) Element PEQ-15 Clone Magpul AFG Generic Ebay 2-Point sling with 2 QD points. Happy that the G&P outer barrel was already the correct spec so I shouldn't of bothered buying an adaptor ring but ohwell. Was very cheap from JKArmy (around 30 quid, and includes 3 different barrel lengths). ALSO, anyone know of a method to remove the engraved trades on the receiver so I can put my own trades?
  23. Finally joined the Master race, ordered the carbine version from GunFire with the plastic handguard and got the railed version, no complaints there but I have a rail for the MWS already. Plan is an L119A2 short build. Slowly putting it together with one greviance already unfortunately, which is the AngryGun handle is not compatible with the TM charging handle, but oh well, a minor detail. Noticed in this lovely heat that the magazine, not even fully charged on propane, was able to spit out around 50 shots without the Green Gas mod, im not gonna bother with the mod until winter where ill need the extra pressure?
  24. Price jumped up as gunfire who were selling them for much cheaper ran out of stock, no need for specshop and redberet to have that low a price anymore.
  25. What joule ratings do you guys get with the Stock inner barrel and 0.3g BBs? My home site is very strict on joules and I don't have any 0.3g BBs at home, would like to hear peoples results before I order truckloads of these BBs only to be disappointed that I can't use them. Thanks.
