  1. At my very very tiny local CQB site in Colchester I run pistol only, It was an absolute advantage against the other AEG players honestly, I could use angles that other players struggled to use even with a pdw. But the longest engagement distance at that site is 5m at best. So if your CQB site is a larger with longer engagement distances I could see an AEG being way more dominant.

So what is the solution? Fill as best as you can, and just swap out for another mag if it gases out mid game? That will get annoying with only 5 mags.

It's a cracking sustem, well built, very accurate and great when it's going right but I'm struggling to make it useable - I just cannot seem to be able to gas the mags up enough for reasonable usage even after green gas modding them!

    i havent found one....

Nope struggling to get a full mag out of any of the five, I don't know if it's my filling adapter or the fill valves. All mags hold gas and are on calor's finest.

I wonder if a complete strip and rebuild would do it?

I just can't understand how people can get a full mag out of a ten second squirt. I did not have this problem with my Kwa MP9!

This is the exact problem I have, only solution was silent fill o-rings but they have issues aswell so I swapped back. They take longer to fill and in my case made full auto / rapid semi auto unusable.

  4. All my mags have the 2 mark and couldn't even do 20 shots on a ten second charge.

GG mod brang the shot count up to 40 on average but would sometimes still get mags that run out after 20 shots. Again a ten second charge.

Then again all 8 of my mags are cunts and don't take gas very well, they spit out most of the gas from the get go even with the Air bubbles purged.

Thanks. But can you point out ehat makes even the stock tm better than the ssp1 im starting this airsoft thingy and this just seems good because as i understand its upgraded out of the box. The cost of tm 5.1 and ssp1 would be same.

Ill give you the pros and cons of each , bearing in mind I agree with everyone else about getting the TM.

    Pros of the SSP1:

    Metal Slide (TM's is plastic)

Hop up can supposedly lift heavy BBs (very little point unless this pistol is your primary, which would be stupid).

    Supposedly CO2 ready

    Cons of the SSP1:

Spotty Quality Control, especially on the magazines. Expect feeding issues and the like.

Not fully compatible with the Tokyo Marui standard (TM Hicapas are the original hicapa and the Novritsch is somewhat a clone)

Heavy slide = Bad winter performance unless you use CO2

    Pros of the TM:

Plastic slide is very light which means the gun is very responsive and snappy, performs well in the winter.

Legendary TM quality control, it will work out of the box with the only thing you have to fiddle with being the hop up.

Thousands of upgrade parts available, probably the most supported pistol platform out there in airsoft.

    Good Magazines

    Cons of the TM:

    Plastic slide may eventually break.

Hop up may not be able to lift Heavy BBs.

Definitely not CO2 compatible at all.

If you are genuinely new to airsoft and didn't know about the specifics of Novritsch's products its understandable why you could see that his products appear better.

My recommendation, get a TM HI-CAPA, run it until the slide breaks (will be quite a while), then get a metal slide if you so wish.

I reckon it sounds like it may be worth while visiting June -July when it's dried out a bit - I like the idea of a quarry and some nice natural elevation, and the lakes and ponds look kinda cool from the birds eye shot.

@AsomodaiMaybe let them know what you thought about the morning games on their FB page, if they are a serious business they'll take some constructive feedback on board - so long as you're diplomatic 😉

I was on the side in the morning that greatly benefited from the bad spawns, my group made our criticisms known to the Marshalls who took it on board very well, at that point I personally believe it was hard to change the spawns that late into the game. They absolutely love feedback and kept coming up to my group (and I imagine other groups) to ask on what can be improved.

    Hello,

I have decided to HPA tap my beloved MWS. I am still running it stock (apart from the brass nub and tan bucking upgrade). What sort of FPS can i push it to without risking damaging the internals?

I am thinking of adding the following upgrades, what are peoples thoughts? Will this allow me to run at 350 fps?

    https://eagle6.co.uk/shop/catalog/product/view/id/6009/s/guns-modify-enhanced-drop-in-complete-nozzle-set-marui-mws/

    https://eagle6.co.uk/shop/catalog/product/view/id/4122/s/angrygun-high-speed-buffer-weight-for-m4-gas-blowback-machine-gun-series/

Probably better off working that out through PSI, Green Gas is around 110 PSI and the MWS can handle that for the most part although some parts do eventually break (such as the plastic buffer and the nozzle return spring). If you need more FPS at 110 PSI than a tightbore barrel or NPAS would be the way to go. Also consider your joule limits for your site, I can reach my sites joule limits on the stock TM nozzle by increasing my BB weight.

  8. A, B and H were made before the Edge series. They have a better finish than the Edge series too, for example the mock bolt on the Edge series isn't painted, but it is on the A, B AND H. Model numbers didn't change for the Spring change system. You can get B-01s with EC or SAEC.

Edge series have a quick change spring by removing the buffer tube first.

I believe they have an Edge H series planned but not sure.

so I notice angry gun uploaded some new bolt designs the other day... and I'm sat here wondering if the branded 416 bolt means they have more things in the works potentially?

anyone have any thoughts or info on this?

They have already announced a 416 receiver back at the MOA show.

propane is something a fair few of us have tried. The main issue is getting a bottle adaptor to work with the MWS mags.

i use Coleman’s propane for my pistol and gas sniper rifle I buy it from GoOutdoors for £9 for a 400g bottle.
With so many people having issues I’m going to have a look into a solution hopefully we can work it out and we can all save money

The only solution I have found thusfar is silent fill o-rings, but unfortunately when using those Full Auto becomes completely unusable. The BBs dribble out of the barrel.

It was around 7 degrees today and I was running Vertex. With the Angry Gun MPA as open as I could whilst still feeling decent resistance on the grub screw I was getting around 285fps with .43s (that converts to around 400fps on .2)

Annoyingly, I had a few issues today that are worth putting in here to help people.

    1. This has been spoken about on here but the Angry gun MPA nozzle wasn’t returning quickly upon firing. This seems to cause double feeds, jams etc. And eventually all my mags to gas out on the first shot.  Upon investigation, this was because of the sealing cup is it called? I haven’t swapped it out with the stock Marui one, but instead put a bit of silicone oil around it, as well as on my thumb and put that around the chamber it slides into. The result was it going from slowly returning (bad) to pinging back almost instantly (good). Not convinced you need to replace with the TM one, will see if it keeps working with the lube.

    2. The Modify Tan bucking has broken. I’m actually kind of surprised by this as I’ve only taken it out to maybe half a dozen games, and given that I play single shot marksman role and often swap to another gun half way through, it can’t have had that many rounds through it. Will put another in and see how it goes (wish it wasn’t so hard to get the front off!).

While my MPA nozzle worked fine with its sealing buffer with lots of lube. I prefer to run my MWS as dry as possible so the barrel and bucking don't get dirty. So i swapped back to the stock sealing buffer.

I had issue's with the modify tan, I only ran it for a little while maybe 1000 rounds at best.

I can't recommend the modify x range enough, the accuracy and consistency is miles above the traditional mound style buckings. I'm not sure how long it will last but for £8 it's worth ago.

Are you using it with the SixG nub, what sort of inner barrel too?

I have ordered some 9Ball fill valves to give them a go.

Failing that I will get a genuine Madbull propane adaptor.

....or just buy shares in Nuprol Green Gas!!!

I have tried Laylax fill valves. Didnt do anything.

  13. 6 hours ago, SSPKali said:

Soooo I have major issues trying to fill my MWS mags with Propane (and to a lesser extent my MP7 mags too!)

Using regular cans of Nuprol green and red gas is no issue, they fill fine and only spray a little liquid when full.

I have a Madbull-type adaptor for my Coleman propane and it tends to get a little in the mag but mainly spray liquid propane over my hands. I purchased the Airsoft Innovations adaptor and have tried that without the extra adaptor (fail) and with (slightly better but still more into the atmosphere than the mag!)

I fitted one of the Lees Precision silent fill o-rings (please don't derail, I know the TM thinking behind the valves) and it silently fills with Nuprol gas...but still pisses propane out of the two adaptors!

Do I have a dodgy Coleman tank? Are these adaptors inherently hit-or-miss? Is there an issue with the fill valves on the mags? Please, any advice is very welcome!

    20191213_094732.jpg

I have this issue and am still yet to find a solution. Though the madbull one works better for me than the AI nozzle.

Ditto. I got the whole thing swapped by the store I got it from. Was also considering a longer screw to prevent it happening again. Can’t see how it could cause problems but will leave someone else more informed to comment.

I've ordered both 8mm and 10mm M3 screws, will update the thread to see what happens. Would prefer to sort this issue out without using loctite as I need the adjustability of the MPA.

  15. So while getting my MWS ready for a game day last weekend, the screw out of my MPA nozzle fell out. I was going for a lower fps to use .30BBs within UK joule limits and as a lower fps setting means that the screw sticks out more it will inevitably fall out.

I contacted AngryGun and they said that a M3 X 8MM screw will do the job. However, i'm tempted to go for a longer screw (10mm maybe?) Just so i have a few more milimetres of threading to keep the screw in place on a lower FPS setup.

However I'm not the most mechanically minded person so I thought i would ask here whether that would be a good idea?

I have the L119A2 carbine rail. You will need a adapter ring for the barrel or a barrel that is already the correct 'mil-spec' size (i.e G&p barrels for MWS).

The nut that comes with the rail threads fine onto the MWS receiver, however, the part of the receiver that holds the front takedown pin is too large and pushes the rail out to a  gap of about 1-2mm on the rail when you split open the receiver. I fixed this by dremelling the bottom rear part of the L119A2 rail so that it cleared the forward takedown pin.

    Can take pics if requested.

  17. https://www.angrygun.com/collections/gbb-parts/products/enhanced-drop-in-complete-mpa-nozzle-set-for-marui-mws-m4

AngryGun do make a sealing buffer as part of their complete MPA nozzle and drop in bolts, Also sold as an 'upgrade' part, which they call the piston head, different name for the same thing.

    https://www.angrygun.com/collections/gbb-parts/products/enhanced-piston-head-for-marui-mws-m4

Anyway, problem as said has been resolved by putting the stock TM sealing buffer on the AngryGun nozzle, 2 minute job at worst.

  18. Ran the AngryGun nozzle again last sunday, zero issues with it now as I replaced the sealing buffer with the stock TM one. The AG sealing buffer is too wide and causes friction which can cause mid-cycle jams.

My hop up problem seems to have alleviated itself.
