    Hi guys!
    New lad here from Spain.
Having the MWS CQBR for almost half a year I decided to join this club officially.
I read all the posts from the beginning and I decided to share with you some recent pics of my two tastes of CQBR.
One for short distances cqb and another one for open field.
Both currently with oem inner barrel, modify tan and custom hop up arms without nub. Using Geoffs BBs 0,30 and waiting for PDI precision 6,01 inner barrel.
Will post the results here to help if possible.
PS: @marine finally you're not alone

@itsme Not wanting to answer for @Wo1f as he is the originator and a huge font of knowledge but I can't see how it could cut the bucking. The edges are not severe enough and the distance the bucking will push into the concave is not enough to cause damage. Just my opinion of course.

On another note, having changed my barrel from standard to an Olga 6.05 250mm with the Modify Tan bucking and SixG super nub. I was wondering how it would increase my FPS. Having been cronoed the previous week at UCAP The Bunker using Abbey Vortex with .2 tracers at 270 FPS. Back at The Bunker on Wednesday using the same gas and the same .2 tracers it is now coming out as 300 fps with a deviation of 2 fps either way over 10 shots. Very consistent.

One moment of note, I was guarding an objective and aiming down a long tunnel. We could see the enemy creeping along in the dark. One of my team mates stated "Don't fire yet as you wont reach them". Basically he had just shot and reached about half way (He had spent 5 minutes listing all the upgrades he had fitted whilst in game!). Like a red rag to a bull, I took aim and fired a single tracer round, it rocketed down the tunnel with no deviation, sailed past the point matey boy's AEG shot dropped to the floor and cracked the lead guy in the chest plate. "Hit"... and the rest of the tangos scurried off into the darkness. Followed by a "Hmmm, wow" from the guy behind me. He collared me in the safe zone asking question after question. We may have another convert.

I ran the CQBR totally stock on Wednesday  at the Bunker in Portsmouth. Ran faultlessly and was shooting like a laser on .20 tracers. Crono’d At 270 FPS on Abbey Vertex gas.

Having already bought a Modify Tan Bucking and a SixG Super Nub, I wanted to fit them so I ordered an Orca 6.05 250mm Barrel. I have to say props to The Cage Airsoft. I order the barrel Friday early afternoon and it was in my hands Saturday morning with standard delivery!!

Got round to fitting the parts on Sunday. I started off getting a bench mark by firing .25 bb’s. I did some video but you can’t really see the bb’s flying so pretty pointless! They were reaching out to about 50m maybe a little shorter.

Stripped the MWS and fitted the parts. Pretty simple despite it being the first time I have ever done anything like this before. Loaded the mag up with .4 bb’s and after a little bit of hop adjustment they were flying straight and true. Judging by eye the .4s are still motoring some when they pass the point at which the pre change .25 bb’s drop down. Very impressed!

2 things of note, I had to put the hop up fully on to get the .4 bb’s to fly straight. Is this correct? As in are .4’s the heaviest you can fire? Also I was using BLS Ultimate Heavy .4 Bio BBs (got them from Camoraids when I purchased the rifle). A few of the bbs split as they came out of the end of the barrel and I noticed that the magazine follower had a white line on it with what looked like bb residue. Having never used bio bbs is this normal??

Will probably be a difficult affair. If anyone does run multiple builds they generally do that on 1 lower. So to sale the lower you’d basically have to hope someone with multiple builds gets sick of switching the uppers every time he wants a different role / look. The front end will probably be a bit easier but pretty much every MWS comes with that rail already. Only thing I’d see selling quickly is, if you take the M4A1 is the outer barrel for people who want to change to lengthier setup(or vice versa).
Those are actually the main reasons why I went with the John Wick set. The things in that set and which I don’t intend on using are fairly unique and probably have a higher resale value. But that is just my two cents!

Just ordered the John Wick Conversion Kit... I shouldn't take days off, way too expensive as I had ordered a flashlight (Streamlight Protac HL-X 1000 lumen light inc. the Cloud Defensive Rail mount for the pressure pad) for the MWS this morning aswell 😭  No idea how I am going to explain this one to the missus, thank god she won't be home until later tonight.

I'm havng a few question and i hope someone can help me out.

Which tools are a must have to maintain the MWS and the mags? Does any m4 style stock fit on the MWS's tube?  Can you replace the charging handle with any real steel one like a raptor charging handle from radian weapons? And is it the same size as an ar15/m16?  Can i fit any real steel pistolgrip to the MWS? Same as above for handguards Does the supernub make the gun shoot further with .28 aswel or is it only for use with heavier bb's? does it affect fps and what the hell does it actually do haha. where does it go in the gun?  Some of these might seem dumb but it's my first gbbr.

    Thanks in advance guys!

All fitted and looking low profile. Took no time at all but make sure you have some very small punches to pop the pins bout of the foresight.

I co-witnessed the holosight before removing the front and rear iron sights so it should be pretty close to sighted. Off the the UCAP Bunker in Portsmouth tonight so it will be the first skirmish with the MWS!! Exciting!

@Crazy_Crystal There is always hope when there is money, just a waste of it. Whichever option I choose in the end though, everything I don't need is going up for sale, so soon on the classifieds: Either half an MWS or half a John Wick set 🤣

@Fissure I can only confirm that for the flash hider you need 1/2 28, that is the standard RS size, you can buy them on ebay fairly cheap (got mine from Germany, about 20 euro's shipped). The other ones I am not sure enough to answer your question.

Disaster struck for the upper, got refunded because the seller can not deliver...going to have to go another route now unfortunately. Good news for my lower though, that is now finally completed because I finally got in
my detent pin for the safety . Testing it like this it seems to all function properly but can not do any actual tests until the RIF is complete again. Also bought a Strike Industries Flat Wire Spring for fun, probably have to shorten it a bit
though because it's clearly too strong of a spring for a GBBR but that was to be expected.

*EDIT* Found an upper in stock in Spain!!! But wait, they don't ship to the Netherlands 🤣 Just wonderful. *EDIT*

    Hi @itsme,

They are both the same apart from (as you said) the barrel length. 250mm on the CQBR and 330mm(???) on the M4A1. The internals are identical apart from that. The photos above your post are of my CQBR.

It all depends what you are going to be using it for. If you are outdoors, then maybe go for the longer version or if you are indoors/CQB then the CQBR is perfect. In fact the CQBR in stock form is still amazing outdoors and easily out performs my AEG. I went the CQBR route as I play a lot in the underground tunnels and the prison down in Portsmouth. That said I am looking to purchase a second one and create an outdoor specific version.

I assume you have read through the topic pages (lots of) as there is a treasure trove of information and there are lots of guys on here that know way more than me ( @Wo1f @Davegolf etc). Let us know which way you go.

I am going to go home and cuddle my MWS tonight!. Gentlemen, a minutes silence for @LVOA-Ds upper please.

I hope you get an upper sorted soon. I will keep an eye out as well.

Having looked at the VLTOR gas blocks and being shocked at the price of them. I decided give a cheaper option a go first. Ordered this low profile gas block to replace the front sight version and so far I am impressed. Made of machined aluminium and should look sweet once it’s on. Best thing is it only cost £8 from Patrol Base!! 👍

@RobHedley I rather you don't ask...🤣 still makes me feel bad. But in all seriousness, I think my bev block wasn't inserted correctly when I torqued down the barrel nut. Perhaps in combination with a weaker than average upper?? I am not entirely sure but I am sure I did not put too much stress on it. I had another
MWS before this and I actually torqued the barrel nut down without a bev block and there was no problem. Sucks but as long as I can manage to get a new upper...shit happens.

Happend to me. I have just feeded some more bbs in the mag and then spray them out on full auto. Fixed the problem - and it was also a mix of tracers...
  22. Thanks
RobHedley reacted to Immortal in THE TM MWS thread
I used to get that on my GHK; the BB follower would get caught on the part that had the feed lips leaving 2 bbs bouncing around. A quick file job inside to round off the edge allowed it to feed correctly (just saying incase it happens again with new BBs, ya never know... plus what others have said )

Green Gas mod now done on all the mags, going to fill them to test for leaks then do a bit of chronoing with it stock.
