  1. spending an hour lying behind a .308 with your eye shut gets tedious, keeping them open makes no difference, is more comfy and thus a better shooting position

When l used to shoot air rifles a lot l used to find that having one eye zoomed in at around 5x power where the other one was at 1x would severely screw up my eyes after a while.

l always close an eye when using magnified optics so that l don't have each eye at a different zoom level because it hurts my brain trying to adjust for it lol.

  2. Only reason it ought to get caught is if the barrel pivoted down slightly as there's nothing else to get caught.

So maybe try and get the ejection port section lined up right again? Pen up the barrel and lever it maybe?

Just don't stop waggling it about. Something's got to give eventually and there's nothing you can really damage.

  3. l've always avoided Z1 just because l can't bare how they run their forums.

But since the last general election when they told their entire Fb audience to vote one way because the other would ban airsoft - total BS of course - l feel they've lost even more of their non-existent credibility.

A goddamn airsoft shop employing political scare tactics ffs? Nope. None of my money for you.

Don't forget how much of a money grab the NAE is too.

  4. I've always used Contours instead, they're much cheaper, better battery life, better sound quality, simpler design and a little less imposing. They look like a bit of airsoft equipment rather than a big square camera.

GoPros still win on picture clarity and do use better camera sensors for higher resolution images and shit, but they're still both capable of full HD video at more than a good enough quality for airsoft videos.

You can pick up Contour ROAMs online for next to nothing second hand, and there's a bunch of different mounts for them too.

  5. As someone who's sat in front of a camera and filmed things like this in one take, it's pretty hard to not make any slips.

You often don't notice at the time either because you're in a flow as if you were talking to someone and without them shooting questions at you in person, you just have to sort of imagine them and factor them in as you go. Which can cause contradictions and slip ups as you sort of talk with yourself in your head, whilst talking.

    It's hard.

I don't think this is actually that bad, the mechanism is well presented and explained and the visuals make up for a lot of the slip ups. The whiteboard style is pretty good I think.

  6. Why do people have this belief that TM internals are better? They don't spend more on the internals, they don't spend a great deal, full stop.

The only reason they last so long is because the lighter weight of the moving parts puts a lot less stress on everything. You put TM parts in a WE or a SA and they'll break at the same rate the WE or SA parts will. (I've done it) They're not better, they're just under less stress.

With a TM you get longevity over all else, they aren't better for range or accuracy, I really don't understand where that myth comes from - TM fanboyism no doubt.

TM is better for cold weather performance and gas efficiency, which again is just due to the lighter parts, but in my opinion you miss out on the satisfaction of metal on metal noises and heavier recoil. Plus it just feels like a bit of a con to buy a plastic gun that feels like a £5 springer but spend more on it than I would on something that feels a lot better. TM's plastics are horrible.

I like taking things to bits and fiddling with them, so if you're like me, I'd advise getting a cheaper, better feeling, metal pistol, learning how it works and upgrading parts to steel as they fail. The WE also has CO2 mags available for winter use so the TM working better in the cold becomes a moot point.

You can also make the WE just as snappy, if not more so, by using a stronger recoil spring and CO2 more generally. Though the snappiness of the recoil is again, in my opinion at least, a moot point, because even when it's less snappy than a TM, it still cycles faster than you can fire it.

  7. l have a handful of gay friends as well as a bi girlfriend and all of them call stuff gay as much as l do lol.

l see it as just a word with multiple meanings. Sort of similar to how nob can be either penis or a door handle. lf l call someone gay l don't intend for them to read it as being insulted via their sexuality. Because what's insulting about being gay? Nothing!

But more that gay is just another standard insult word as per stupid or lame for example.

  8. The range on the G&G m14's is absoulutely absurd lol. If the Cyma doesn't work out get one of those.

Yup, I can attest to this as well. I had the Veteran wood version, it was kicking about 390fps out of the box. I fitted a Madbull 6.03 and ran .30s and I'm not joking when I say I don't think I missed all day.

It's a shame I had it before starting the channel, would've made some epic videos. I only had a red dot on it, but if someone was unfortunate enough to end up with that reticle over them, they were gone with a single pull of the trigger. It was just moronic how far and how accurately it could shoot.
