So its back and he sent me an image of the package...
This is the package for another revolver i got from TigerHK its value was under £130 and its a black revolver. Its package type is "Gift" and its contents are Toy & toy parts. this is where i got the gift part from. So what should the Mateba package have on it for it to get to the UK?
Keep in mind that Fedex refused to delivery after it got to the UK and sent it back. then with UPS it was refused at Italian customs
-
Okay so the Mateba has been returned back to softair italia. will see how quickly they get back to me. I'm not paying for a 3rd delivery attempt... Ohh no

I wish you luck because that's what you're counting on.
There's no other place I can find a mateba

Why's he putting Airsoft toy on something which is classified as a RIF in The UK?
Border force could choose to seize and destroy it on that basis alone (I speak from experience). Add in the "gift" stuff and you'll be extremely lucky to actually receive it this end.
A gun I got from tigerhk had gift on and it got here fine I'm pretty sure.

I'll talk to him on Monday though I'm fairly sure I told him previously what to put on the packaging.

Softair Italia (.it, the actual store, not .eu which is a warehouse in either France or Switzerland) is actually half an hour drive from me.
The owner is a bit speshul so he might have filed the wrong information on the package, I'd just ring UPS and ask what information needs to be written on the parcel, then transfer said information to the store..
Regular post + customs is a shitty combination these days.
Oh I figured it would have to be sent as a gift with contents listed as toy/toy parts. He told me that he put Airsoft toy on it. I'm not sure what else. And yeah customs sucks

I need help on this, I ordered a Mateba in Febraury and the sender has seemingly struggled to send it. it's Softair Italia and the first attempt was with fedex who took a hissy fit once it got to the UK Customs and sent it back. then they tried with UPS and it got rejected by Italian customs and now its been delayed in Italy and somehow has ended up going the wrong way. Ending up a few miles north to a few miles south of softair Italia. Apparently "airsoft toy" is what got it rejected.
So im wanting to know what should be on the package and if UPS is the courier to choose or should i ask the sender to use something else? -
No good im looking for a wood version. which is the version ive been trying to get from Italy which im close to just refunding... two delivery attempts and i had to cough up money to pay the seller for return goods charges...
-
Does anyone know where i can get a Mateba? i have tried one italian place recommended to me but the first delivery attempt through fedex failed and i highly doubt UPS is gonna be any better either.
-
The problem was FedEx who the seller chose...

Tried to get a Marushin Mateba but its been declined and sent back. despite me having a UKARA wtf why? I want a Mateba is that so fucking hard an ask?

A sear catch is worn or broken.
You'll have to take it apart to see what it is or send to a tech to fix.
The part should be replaceable.
Turns out the screws in the trigger pack have come loose over time but now theres a new problem. the screw that runs through the bolt handle has snapped. part of it is still in the handle and its gonna be really difficult to get out.
-
Had a king arms gas blaser for a while and the trigger pack has stopped functioning correctly. the hammer will drop the moment i pull the bolt back

Anyone know where I can find these magazines?

Sorry it was the last one left

Yeah im gonna be attempting to 3D print first.
I have the game asset of the X95 from my favorite game which i will be reworking to match with a tavor grip from thingiverse which is to fit the real X95.

I have a Umarex X95 which I'm wanting to setup to be a decent Airsoft replica. I was wondering if I need a firearms license just to buy grips and forends from IWI USA? (Was just a thought)
im wanting to cut off the grip and set it up to take a Cutlass grip since I like it's appearance.

Possibly …. As long as it doesn’t breach any policy of the channel tunnel etc
(It should be suitable to carry in its original box, covered up, secured in a car boot etc)
Fine print on booking terms etc should be checked
… and of course as long as you don’t fall foul of customs staff being awkward if ‘random person’ with no VCRA defence arrives with a RIF and they don’t accept “I’m bringing it for @Karinexmachinawith their UKARA details here”
Thats not what i meant.. I meant a different carrier as in... different postage carrier..

It’s an option when there are issues with the post. Not essential if another carrier will take it
So it can be solved just finding someone to carry it and paying the other expenses?

Jeez, never, ever use UPS. They are absolutely terrible for anything international
Use La Post
So people have been able to send RIFs to the UK with a UKARA provided recently? This would be my first time receiving from a friend and not a retailer and its a pretty rare to find rifle new.
2 minutes ago, Tommikka said:The Brexit ‘issue’ with it is just the crossing of a border out of the EU single market and into a ‘third country’ - it’s being exported from France / EU and imported to the UK
You also end up paying VAT twice -
1) French VAT as you purchased in France, but nobody gets to reclaim French VAT as an export
2) UK import VAT, and the handling fees
You also pay for multiple sets of postage
The current problem is with things getting held up on the border. In your case UPS don’t want to be stung with the hassle of your friend claiming compensation if it dissapears into a black hole, and the extra expense that UPS incur sitting on it using space in secure warehousing awaiting processing and for you to pay import charges
A slightly ‘easier’ method is for either you or your friend to drive across via the channel tunnel, bringing it across and declaiming to customs on the way through
Complete with travel expenses & covid procedures
Oh wow thats what it would take?... jeez
-
My friend told me UPS refused to take it as they couldnt guarantee it would get to me... its still in its box new and weighs 3.5kg.
Brexit is likely gonna affect this as well especially since its coming from France.
-
It's in france, the french supplier wouldnt ship to the UK so i asked a friend of mine in france to get it for me. I'm not sure how to get it here from that point though
-
A friend of mine managed to acquire a rifle I wouldnt have been able to buy myself from a french site which doesnt deliver to the UK. While I have a UKARA ive been told that UPS refused to ship it despite that. I'm just wondering whats up with that and If It can be shipped.
The rifle is just a Umarex X95 which is exceptionally rare to find new. -
Does Toystar still make the Daewoo series of rifles? ive been keeping an eye on the K2 for a while as its on... THE LIST but the listing vanished so... just wondering.
