    G&G vs Cyma, help comparison!

Thanks guys, that is a lot of information and certainly a post I'll refer back to when I get to the level where I'm modding/upgrading etc. Money isn't the issue, I came into this knowing it will be an expensive hobby, I'm absolutely thinking Raider 2.0 (S or M)
  2. Haha I know, I'm just saying what we do on real rifles, I'm sure airsoft is a lot more forgiving than the real thing 😉

Wow, certainly food for thought thanks! Yeah I think I'm pretty set on the Raider 2.0, I don't like that the Raider 1.0 doesn't have a removable or flip down foresight. At work, whenever we fit any kind of optics to our L85's we remove the foresight as it gets in the way, not even for a backup as the old SUSAT has an integrated ironsight on top and our current ACOG has a battlesight (Red dot) on top for backup. So yeah, Raider 2.0 removable foresight, happy!
  4. Any hesitations I had about the Raider are dispelled by the Raider 2.0 I don't know if it's borderline OCD but I hate it when you have a foresight that can't be flipped down/removed. I know the rearsight is but the foresight isn't, and I'm not a fan of ironsights as a whole. But the Raider 2.0 has flip down fore and rearsights! Obvs loads more but still. At work whenever we fit any kind of optics we remove the foresight, just gets in the way! Our old SUSATs have integrated ironsights for backup and our ACOGs have an integrated battlesight (Red dot) for backup. So ideal! Raider 2.0 it is!

Sitting Duck - that's awesome thank you! Just one question; one that's been bugging me; Why 7.4v LiPo over 9.6v nimah? Ta They do, read the Raider 2.0 description, it says after making the Raider S and Raider L, they made the Raider 2.0 which is a length inbetween the two. That what you meant?

Oh that looks cool! I feel like I'd prefer shorted barrels though, but I'll have a browse!
  7. Crap, I'm so sorry - already posted it. I thought I'd be in the shit if I broke the rules and I've only just joined! Hah Well, this is quoted from what I wrote on that post; "So I KNOW this is a no brainer, but can somebody help me with why the G&G is better? G&G CM16 - http://www.patrolbase.co.uk/airsoft-m4-m15-m16-variants/combat-machine-cm16-raider---black.htm#.WtUc2UxFyw0 Cyma CM.516 - http://www.patrolbase.co.uk/airsoft-m4-m15-m16-variants/cyma-cm-516-m4a1-carbine-w-urx-style-handguard-black.htm#.WtUcf0xFyw0 Now, it's obvious the G&G is better, not just from advice on this forum but it's clear from the pictures too. Is it simply looks, or is the build quality THAT much better? Because it's £60 odd difference, which if not justified I could spend on gear/upgrades. " If you prefer to answer it here, or there? I'll remember in future! Haha, thanks!
  8. Hello! So I KNOW this is a no brainer, but can somebody help me with why the G&G is better? So, can anybody give me anything solid, detailed? I'm a total noob, so if the Cyma is good enough for now I'll just get that, even though I also like the look of the G&G. Cheers in advance!
  9. Okay brilliant, I want to ask a comparison question between two guns but I know forum etiquette so I'll ask it on the guns section, I'd appreciate if one of you would answer it though? I'll post it now. Hah, thanks for your time so far!
  10. That's good advice, play the field a bit until I find what I like. It seems dreadfully easy to get UKARA though, 3 games not exceeding 2 months but more than 56 days from first to last. So within 2 months I'll potentially be registered, doesn't seem difficult? How long is a game, to make that day count? Obvs as long as possible hah.
  11. Fair enough, as long as it's just aesthetics, not performance. I'll just wait, renting guns for the time being can't be too bad. I think I'll try Skirmish Games in Exeter.
  12. Thanks for that. A few people now have said to wait until UKARA before getting anything, is that purely for the colour? Because if it is, surely it's easy just to take it apart and spray it matt black. Is there something else I'm missing? Is spraying guns black (Or any colour) not the done thing? Ta,
  13. Each to their own I suppose, I can see the appeal. Sidearms are meant to be a last resort though, personal defence - whereas that looks like an offensive weapon?
  14. Okay awesome. I'm already used to the recoil don't worry. Amazing, thank you so much.
