    Hi buddy

I'm not sure what you mean by valves as the F1 has no valves within it, just a solenoid, body casings and a nozzle.

I can only assume by valve you mean regulator? If that's the case, in reality any will do really. The tank itself has a regulator (primary) already attached, which has a set output of normally 800 to 1000PSI, this then feeds to your secondary regulator which steps it down to below 130PSI and is adjustable by means of an adjustment screw. For the F1 Engine, any regulator made by Polarstar, Redline or Balystik will do do so long as you don't over pressure the engine.

The F1 will probably happily run between 40 to 130PSI according to Polarstars website.

The amount of PSI needed to meet 340FPS on .20g BBs is highly dependant on various factors such as:
    Length of inner barrel
    Inner barrel diameter
    Amount of hop used/needed
Type of hop used (Flat hop, R-Hop, S- Hop et al)
    Size of hop window
    Hop rubber (60 degree, etc)
Quality and weight of BBs used
General fitment and finish of the RIF (ie how well the nozzle, hop, inner barrel etc all fit together).

The F1 isn't as adjustable as a Polarstar Fusion Engine, which IMO is the best HPA engine out there in terms of features, adjustability and trigger feel. The F1 have a set nozzle diameter but different nozzles for different guns. Unlike the FE which had different coloured nozzles and poppets for different outputs.

Unless anyone else here is able to put their numbers down (PSI and what kit used) here's a break down of what I have from tank to pew:
    Tank: Guerilla Air Myth 68/4500
    Regulator: Redline SFR
Engine: Polarstar Fusion Engine with S2 Lightning banjo, Red Nozzle and Red Low Flow Poppet
Hop up: Prowin M4 CNC hop up chamber (original version before they became crap)
Hop type: Kingdom of Airsoft R-Hop
Inner Barrel: EdGI 300mm length with diameter of 6.02mm
BBs: G&G or ASG Devils .28g BBs

With the exception of the tank and regulator, all the above fits into a G&P Salient Arms Intl M4 body. All in all i can run the above set up on 50PSI for 341FPS on .20g BBs.

Ill be honest, unless you are using a tiny 13CI tank or running and gunning everywhere, the likelihood of you running out of air is minimal. I have two 68CI tanks, I  find that one lasts me more than 1 day at sites where burst and semi auto fire is used. At one of the sites I play at where full auto is a given, one tank will last 3/4 of the day but I normally change mid way through.

Problem is the clickbait and drama provides these people with an income, so gets worse/more extreme until we get to where we are today. Then new players wanting to see what they're letting themselves in for can be either put off or encouraged (depending on their disposition) which could lead to more of this bellendery and less new players that you actually want to share a field with.

At least if new players find their way here they'll get a (relatively) sensible view of what actually happens on a game day.

It's not just our sport though, my mate's boy rides an MTB like a youtuber thinking it's cool - no, it's slower and you're wrecking the trails for everyone else.

Terms: P* (Polarstar), OOTB (out of the box), DI (Drop In), CR (Cylinder Replacement), MC (Mancraft), W (Wolverine), ME (Mechanical), FE (Fusion Engine)

So Im in the US, which means HPA is far more common and available. As far as I know I have used quite literally every HPA system out there, barring a few unique or uninteresting ones to me (Russian "bear", Im looking at you). Daytona, Escort (pre-Daytona), W Inferno, Reaper, Reaper M, SMP, Hydra, Bolt, Bolt M, P* FE v2, FE v3, FE 249, Jack, F1, F2, Valken v12, Tapp HPA adapters, CQBRussian HPA taps, custom one-off HPAs, Redline engines, MC sDiKs, and probably a few others Ive forgotten. Ones I havent used include the P* Kythera, Redline MilSim, the aforementioned Russian "bear" (aka MedVed), and as stated single-gun engines like the old JACs.

P* is, by far, my favorite for a few reasons. First, LCD FCUs. Wolverine engines are a PITA to adjust to exactly what you want - the older versions using two screwdriver dials, and the newer having an extremely basic FCU with lights to show settings. P* is all written out on an LCD screen, like a calculator screen.

Second, are FEs. The only true drop in and go engines (besides the v12, but we dont talk about the v12) means you can keep your AEG gearbox together for a rainy day, to shove into another gun, or to use as spare parts.

The F2 has the power of the FE but is a CR engine, like almost everything else on this list bar the Daytonas. Basically this means it uses your old gearbox.

Closely following this is the Wolverine Reaper. While Ive found the F2 to be an easier drop in, theres no denying how quiet and air-efficient you can make this top of the line wolverine engine. If the FCU was better OOTB it would be neck and neck with the F2, and if Id not had to work so hard to get Reapers to work well in some odd guns itd be ahead of the F2.

W then makes an interesting engine - the Hydra. The Hydra is made for all those offset nozzle guns. Im not a huge fan of the engine itself, having not-great experiences with it in my P90, but if you have an offset gun and dont want to design an entirely new gearbox (something I have done a time or two) its your best option. P* has made offset nozzles for the F2, but they arent too common (still looking for a PDR-C nozzle...).

A few notes about some of the other engines. The V12 is trash. Easily the worst HPA system out there and not worth looking at. The Jack is the worst engine that is actually worth the time to install in your gun. Personally Id avoid it if you can. The only one I still own is in my Marui MP7, as thats literally the only engine that will fit in it. The F1 is just a closed-bolt Jack. Daytonas are extremely fun, but some of the most time-intensive, expensive, inaccurate, PITA to work on systems out there. When they work its cleanup on aisle everyone-on-the-field's pants, but they are just such a hassle. I dont put much stock in the ME systems like the Kythera, Reaper M, or Redline MilSim as I dont run many DMRs - though the option to forgo a battery entirely is awesome if you will never go auto. If I didnt always run LMG or SMG at MilSims Id probably have a few of these engines installed over the many FEs, F2s, and various W engines I do have.

Now, since you didnt mention what gun I will go ahead and talk about the bolties. You have two main options - W and MC. W has the two Bolts, while MC has the sDiKs. Bolt is the older model that uses a battery, Bolt M is ME and doesnt use a battery. I have a Bolt in my VSR and its great. A real ninja converter of an engine, I can be audibly invisible 20 feet from a person with a good foam suppressor. The sDiKs are sorta like the Hydra to me - they are available for tons more oddball bolties, but I could never get the performance out of them, their installs are odd and have weird placement (like my MSR wanting the hose to go out the trigger?!), and they just seem clunkier than the Bolts.

All in all I probably currently own some 25+ HPA guns of various makes and manufactures. Some notable ones are my Inferno PKM, FE 249, Daytona MG36, L85, and M27, Bolt VSR, Jack MP7, FE PP-91 (see the "Mosquito' thread on here), F2 L86, F2 AUG HBAR, and F2 G28LE/417A2. I am happy to say more about certain engines if you wish. You will also - regardless of what engine you get - need a good tank and regulator to run said gun. HPA is expensive to get into, but IMO needs far less effort to tune, and breaks far less than AEGs. That being said I keep a steady supply of HPA, AEG, and even spring guns in my collection, so I can use whatever happens to strike my fancy on a particular game day.

There's no way MTP is ever better than DPM, literally dozens of unqualified airsofters who spend their entire lives at one site and irrationally hate anything popular because it's cool to be different have told me so.

If you want uniforms just get surplus issue stuff, commercial offerings (BTP, MTC etc etc) barely get within sniffing distance in terms of the quality for the price point.  Windproof and waterproof are 2 entirely different proposals, most issue uniform is fairly windproof the smock in particular but it's still extremely breathable.  Anything that's actually close to waterproof cooks you alive soon as you do much exertion and do NOT fall for the bullshit descriptions at airsoft retailers that describe any softshell jacket as waterproof; utter shite.  Wear a t-shirt and a standard PCS smock, put a fleece or whatever under it if you're not moving much in the cold and have a goretex jacket somewhere to hand if you expect it to really hammer down - that'll cover 95% of UK weather.

Finally remembered to take a pic while out. I'm definitely in the "premium" stage of my kit 😂 Though the ghillie is crafted, I'm using a Viper concealment vest base, some jack pyke stealth camo hide net, and some raffia and fake plants. I've had people walk right past me when I'm low to the ground. Using some jack pyke digicam soft shell clothing, which is decently warm and waterproof, and seems to be a good camo pattern though possibly approaching a bit dark for this time of year. Also a digicam balaclava that's been cut up and attached to my mesh mask. A simple kombat chest rig with their molle yoke for holding my knife and comms, and a hydro pack on the back. It's a nice lightweight kit with a surprising amount of space for things. Also a drop leg dump pouch, no idea what brand, I just bought it of some guy. Not pictured is the tactical bum bag, very handy I must say.

Gun is a nuprol ak21, all the compression and hop parts have been changed, and it's getting new gears, motor, and mosfet soon. Pretty nice so far, it throws 0.36s out to a bit past 60m at 1j. Also a hawke 3-9x scope, really nice for woodland I find. I can track shots through narrow gaps in bushes easily, and the little rmr on top means I can be reasonably quick at close range. It's covered in jack pyke tough tape.

Final Fantasy 14. As a vanilla WoW veteran (seriously, been playing since 2004), I was expecting a trash weeb game with a furry agenda (though on that last point I gave it some wiggle room since WoW is pretty bad with that and we all know it...)

I found a great game with a pretty vibrant and loving community, as well as devs who seem to genuinely care and take player feedback on board. It's hard watching a grown man break down into tears because he has to announce that he's delaying the launch of an expansion by 2 weeks because he felt it didn't have enough QC time, where Blizzard by comparison would just release unfinished expansion after unfinished expansion with the general feeling of "we've heard your feedback and it doesn't align with how we want to make the game, so you can stick your opinions where the sun don't shine. You whales will keep paying for it anyway".

I have now embraced the fact that I am, in fact, a bunny girl and I expect you all to treat me as such.
