  1. oh boy, hopefully cooking up something special tomorrow for sunday's pewing, looking forward to it.

  2. Hmm, maybe soon time to replace the king arms reciever, anyone reccommend somewhere to look for decent reciever sets? Feels kind of wasteful to buy a whole gun only to gut the internals and replace most of the furniture.

ooh good shout, those look pretty decent.

there was me thinking he only did internal bits

He has so many fun things to part you from your cash!

I have an E&C Colt engraved receiver set and I have to say it's rather lovely (especially for the cost).

yeah it looks very similar to the king arms one i have, well, at least what the king arms was like several years ago.

just ordered one, was mighty tempted to add some other shiny's but sadly funding isn't infinite at the moment.

shame he doesn't have barrel nut shims, those seem to be like hens teeth to find.

  3. Well, will have to see how the new sling mount on the m4 holds, but at least i found a use for the hicapa rail.....

Did you run out of cable ties and keyrings?

Never run out of cable ties and keyrings.

it's more that carbon is not a good material for bolting things onto, i'm kinda worried the wrong shock load is going to just rip the bolts out.

problem is there's nowhere else decent to mount the front of a 2 point on an m4.

yeah pretty much how i approached it, he seemed to enjoy himself which given the amount of drama normally goes on at that site is a good sign.

  5. So decided to give the f2000 a little love this sunday, re-did seals etc she's pretty decent consistency on the chrono, hopefully that's the last time.

Kinda wish gate would hurry up and figure out a way to titan a v6 already, because atm it seems decent semi auto is always going to be the fevered dream of a madman on this thing.

  6. Anyone got a spare pair of knees/ankles?

AH lets just say the cartel does you a favour and maybe someday you do the cartel a favour....Hows your rectal passage for space?

Oh I forgot to say assembly will be your responsibility and as per the law that only applies to airsoft your order will take much longer than anticipated and will meet with countless delays only to be the wrong size/make or just plain shite when you finally receive it (unfortunately this part isnt the joke)

      Cheers Amigo!!!

  7. so my geoff's order arrived, in a box marked "fragile"

the irony is not lost on me.....

    1. Albiscuit

      Albiscuit

"fragile" is italian, its pronounced frag-eel-e and means be careful :D

Probably, although it was only .3's so not too bad.

  8. Fresh carbon free float tube on the m4, and a pair of other guns ressurrected for a freind.

It's been a productive day, so tomorrow i've got destructive to spare :P

    1. Aengus

      Aengus

Carbon tubes on m4s always look so good. Where'd you get it from?

    2. Adolf Hamster

      Adolf Hamster

Old test peice out of work, happened to be the right size to bolt onto a barrel nut.

Bit incongruous as it blocks putting the gas tube in, but seems nice and solid, will be interesting to see how durable it is

  9. Good days shooting today, e&l worked just fine and the jack is doing stirling work in the m4.

Boots were great, shame my legs arent

  10. So i've been a lowa user for approximately 20 minutes and i'm already getting the hype, if they're this good now god knows how good they'll be when broken in

I’ve two pairs of the Elite desert boot , they are ‘big and clumpy’ but once there on and done up properly I genuinely can wear them all day with out any problems at all .

Screw selling then on, these are my "so it's come to this" stash.

      Also come at me, i got 5000 .48's and a polarstar :P

Lol, no such luck here, she's working just fine. Need to check out the hop make sure she's shooting straight.

  14. don't you just love ordering springs that aren't what they say they are, indeed not even close....

    1. Rogerborg

      Rogerborg

Can you show us on the fps/Joules chart where the bad vendor touched you?

    2. Adolf Hamster

      Adolf Hamster

They were meant to be m100's so give or take a bit 1j, they were closer to m130/m140's.

Shame as the whole point of buying them was to have some springs i knew were in the right ballpark rather than my current batch which are all in the 0.5j range.

All i can say is i'm glad i chrono'd it before giving it back to me mate, not sure he'd be best pleased at being told he cant play.

  15. Well, experiment complete, using geoff's .4's in a polarstar is very effective.

Did i say effective? I meant expensive :P

      Adolf Hamster

sounds about right, went through 5000 of them yesterday. however it has at least confirmed what i was beginning to suspect which is the gun is good and the regular ammo i've been using all this time has been the problem.

    3. Rogerborg

      Rogerborg

      Five... thousand? 😖

    4. Adolf Hamster

      Adolf Hamster

yep, if i'm gonna experiment might as well be rigorous.

don't worry, many souls were harvested. although i think it'll be a while before i run them again :P

  16. 5k geoff's .4's and 10k geoff's .32's.

At what point do i admit to having a problem?

Ummm, i might do prisce, theyre for the polarstar

    3. Prisce

      Prisce

Well, that sir, is when you officially have a problem.

    4. Adolf Hamster

      Adolf Hamster

      but muh accuracy?

tbf this is an experiment, i know the .4's will be good but i've mostly been running the laser dot .3's and in the quest for a gun that shoots in a straight line the only variable left that i haven't fully explored is ammo, hence the big pile of geoff's to see how those work out.

  17. I HAVE A NEW F2000 HOP UNIT

    that is all.....

  18. hmmm, should my next purchase be a nice new body for the m4 (king arms reciever is getting a bit knackered) or a nice ak?

I was thinking real sword or e&l, the little jg aksu is a lovely shooter but something truly ak like is my dream

    3. StayOnTarget

      StayOnTarget

Oh thats just begging to be sanded down maybe some Annie Sloan chalk paint,I'm thinking a nice paris grey then a antique white gently sanded in places to allow the grey to come trough and finally lime waxed to finish?

RS and E&AK are very nice BUT if you get a cyma you’ll have the money to get a metal body kit as well ?😉

  19. great days pewing today, one of the most fun days i've had for a good while despite rentals trying to activate godmode, problem is godmode vs my ak still loses :P

  20. well, decent day's shooting yesterday, although the polarstar still needs fine tuning.

once again ak did some serious work for the one game i brought it out for, really impressed with how it's been going of late.

  21. hell yeah, '42 is getting back into the fray, new mag mech ready for testing tomorrow

it's a modified m60 box, can't recall the specific brand but it's a real solid mechanism for feeding, basically because of how the gun works now it's entirely reliant on the mag and the stock mechanism didn't like being hit with 11.1v

  22. well yesterday's pewing was interesting, mostly stock jg ak outshooting my polarstar, says a lot about madbull blue hop rubbers.....

(to clarify the p* had the madbull rubber and it was all over the show)

    1. Iceni

      Iceni

Those madbull buckings are very hit and miss. I've tried the blue and the red and my guns didn't like either. Loads of fliers.

Prommy purples, G&G greens, Or if you have a barrel that can take it the Maple leaf 50's.

    2. Druid799

      Druid799

I just stick stock TM hop rubbers in all my guns .

    3. Adolf Hamster

      Adolf Hamster

yeah, twas a madbull blue i dropped in as i was quickly taking the rhop out (which is deadly accurate but skies ammo still) and it was the only one i had pre-cut as a flathop, needless to say i'll either be getting the rhop filed down to stop the fliers or i'll pop a g&g green in there as a flathop.

the jg ak i'm pretty pleased with, recently the gearbox rebuilt but nothing special internally but she was still shooting dead straight on the stock hop and barrel.

  23. Urgh, legs, anyone wanna lend me a pair?

    1. two_zero

      two_zero

Ill swap ya my knees haha!!

  24. Damnit, opportinity to test the m4 hop at a mates (with an adequately sized field) and of course the air tank has leaked dry.

Guess im gonna have to actually take the reg off after games.

No, it was still set at it's operating pressure, just the qd valve holding it. ahh well guess tis a learning experience.

The reg is still showing pressure but the bottle has dropped.

      Adolf Hamster

well, if i'm going tomorrow i have a recently dsg'd ak to take, but been absolutely lashing down today so might be a bit damp even for me so might give it a miss.

  25. welp, busted my 2 working aeg's yesterday, had to end up running around with the vsr which does not shoot well enough to be effective.

Sometimes having a decent back up pistol is handy, for those "just in case" moments, or hell just for fun 😝

    3. Adolf Hamster

      Adolf Hamster

lol, fortunately pistols is one area i'm well furnished, given that i had the mighty makarov stuffed in a pocket for those moments when they're too far away for the vsr to engage :P

    4. Adolf Hamster

      Adolf Hamster

well, the f2000 straight up busted the rear tooth off the piston, dunno what brand the piston was but it's had an shs dropped in and the angle of engagement tweaked so fingers crossed it might last this time.
