A few little updates on the mws... And the fact that it's no longer looking like an L119A2... So the CQBR is back and I am appreciating the slightly lighter weight 😅

Thanks for correcting me, that's the stuff. Toyota have a lot to answer for confusing me 🤦‍♂️😂

But thanks for that I didn't realise they offered 1 litre and 5 litres versions!!!

    It's GT85!

I use it all the time.  Great stuff.  You can get it in trade cans of 5L and 1L pump spray bottles too.  The 1L are favourite.

On a similar thread I've had really good results using GT-86 which is a PTFE spray that is also a dry lube which means that it doesn't attract and hold dust.

With regards to particularly silicon grease (not oil) this should be avoided for metal on metal and sliding contact as it heats up and then binds. It's not a lubricant but rather a grease to protect o-rings from drying out as well improving the air seal. Other greases will also likely attract dirt and bind up with time as well. Where they do work well is where the surfaces don't slide such as in a gearbox because there is simply less friction involved.

But yeah, I'm a big fan of GT-86 and some bisley gun oil on the bolt for smoothness 👍

Just a few bits for me as I'm hoping to get out a bit more this year having been doing life stuff most of last year, a Crye SPS frag pouch (the inserts mean it can carry everything from pistol mags to 12g shells) and a replica scalar leap aimpoint mount for my MCX(the holy warrior version) and the build quality on that is amazing 👌

So to add to this issue in case anyone suffers the same:
Strip and clean trigger box. Inspect your springs. I replaced ALL of mine as I had a old Dytac set for nearly 4 years. Some springs had actually compressed and failed. Relube with thin weight oil. No grease. Give a small spray of silicone oil on top once reassembled
Now having zero issues with Semi auto run on. Even readjusted my adjustable trigger and sears and works lovely.

Figured I put a means to an end some if someone searches for this issue.

What is it with at least 50% of You tubers who insist on calling a MK23 (i.e. 'Mark23') pistol an 'M' 'K' 23?!! It makes me cringe every time! Am I being irrationally intolerant? Probably, but I can't help it - I just want to throw stuff at the screen when they do it, and once you've heard them say it the first time, you can't then unhear it for the next 40 times they mention it in the course of the video....

And don't even get me started on the ' Em Kay 18' rifle!

Tbf from what I remember they don't apply this to the skirmishes that they run and in reality I don't think that I've actually seen them take issue with a rif for as long as I've been playing there, they're generally pretty relaxed really 😅

I'll have to see if I can find that post...

I'd second this try one of their filmsims, they're good fun and if you enjoy the team work side of things Okto8 might be worth looking at if you want to try a weekend event that is even more roleplay based 👌

I'm another advocate for Geoff's... I use .36's in my mws and .28's in my mp7 and G19... All of them shoot really nicely. Having said that, as previously mentioned, my shot count is very low. (probably only used about 150 rds over the Saturday.)

Did I read that you have a child with this person?

My suspicion is that this is purely about exerting control and influence over you. It's taking up your time and thought etc. If there is a kid I'd advise that you don't mention it to her again, write it off, stop it from being a thing that she can manipulate you with. I suspect you'd get it back in the future once she realises it not a thing of importance (it'll get in her way, remind her of you etc)Even if you don't taking something that she can manipulate you with away from her has value.

While it's not a cheap rif, you'll need to maintain as cordial relations with this person as best you can (assuming there is a kid).

Is any of the above right or fair etc? Not at all, but during a messy break up, custody arguments and the associated solicitor fees you may find the price of the rif is small beer.

Yes, I have seen it though I don't think it's as prevalent or as intentional as a lot of people believe, say or think.

Seen it at some skirmish sites, it's super funny when the group of "rentals" absolutely run rings around the regulars! Many times I have seen the teams get split and predicted it to go one way or the other and have been shocked by how the day has actually panned out. Unfortunately there have been times when it looks like the rentals/newer players are going to get smashed and they have been, generally though the sites I attend have split the teams pretty fairly from the off and made changes if one side is getting battered.

I used to do a lot of stirling events and have heard it said that the stirling team get the preferential treatment, they get the "gucci" taskings etc. I used to believe that as well. However what I saw repeatedly was the stirling team doing the basics well and almost always had boring taskings. Then when they are on their 5th perimeter security tasking of the event and there is an intense counter attack which turns into an awesome firefight it looks like they had the "good tasking" rather than the team that was tasked with door kicking. Most teams/squads moaned about getting the "boring" taskings and would often flake (especially if it was their 2nd/3rd one of the event), when they got hit with a decent counter attack they'd often get rolled up cause the players got bored, didn't pay attention, chatted/had banter etc.

I think the V2.5 versions will probably be the better option. Unfortunately some of the V2 gearboxed rifs often have very long nozzles which may make HPA engine compatability an issue (I know the Ares definitely does anyway.)

For me A&K, G&P or classic army are the ones i'd look at.

Just to second this... most ptt's with kenwood connectors will work.

For my opfor rig I've been using a retevis fist mic and a cheap D shape earpiece earpiece that plugs straight into it which work surprisingly well considering it costs about £18 or so off amazon. Link here and example earpiece here

100%... i think the orangutan build becomes a bit of a requirement, but sometimes needs must and its the nicest way to wear it with webbing... I completely copied one of the pathfinder guys, so can claim no credit for that. but since webbing only comes out when my local turns into a jungle I live with it.
