One week before a fun 21h event and my ankle decides to commit sudoku.
Feels good to be a wreck at 30yo....
Edit: of course the good ankle, not the one with 30 tons of titanium still in it -.-

Bottle and bag. Luxury 😂
Regards

Unfortunately not, our role is to hike around the place doing shit.
I do feel much better than yesterday to be fair, at least I didn't wake up cursing every deity known to man like I did yesterday.
Ankle is still swollen and looks like a melon, I have no idea how it happened, I just woke up like that. I guess I strained my Achilles's tendon because rocking my foot back and forth hurts like a bitch.

So I ordered one delta mike snood which was posted the day after, a week later I ordered a thing on AliExpress.
DM snood is still at customs, the AliExpress parcel is on delivery.
Wtf?
-
Bit of a dumb question:
Where the fuck can I find an E&L B11 handguard?
-
The E&L curse continues!
Apparently now the motor is dead. As in the mosfet thinks it's unplugged.
At first I thought the mosfet crapped itself, but then plugged a different motor in and it worked fine, but I can't use that one as it's a long axis motor.
And I thought the AAP was turning into a money pit......
-
Let's play a game:
Guess what makes my AK mosfet overheat and shut down?
(I have no clue btw, I am opening it right now)
-
Tfw you're too lazy to fix your broken high cap so you use midcaps instead
Now that I have a real Odin I might use midcaps more often
-
And the E&L curse just hit me too.
Didn't touch the rifle for a while, now it's rusted to all fuck -.-
Oh well, time to make it look battle worn -.-
-
Can't be arsed to start jogging or going to the gym.
Might get back to BMX/MTB riding...
Oh well, another 5k down the drain
-
Tournament today.
600km drive, slept 3 hours and I'm pissed off already. First cunt who doesn't call hits is getting a buttstock in his teeth.
If that wasn't enough now teammates are asking me for extra batteries and shit.
-
I give up.
Either SHS springs aren't what it says on the package or I got everything wrong in my life.
229mm barrel, 3/4 cylinder, great air seal. Two teeth removed from the sector.
SHS m100 chronos at 1.25J
What the fuck?

Yes, I bought an SHS M100 a couple of years back from some cowboy outfit, M42AK, or similar, and ended up getting 1.3J (humblebrag) out of a stock CYMA piston, 3/4 cylinder and a 229mm 6.02 ZCI barrel. Ouch.
Mind you, a Kyou M90 spring dropped it to 1.1J, which is about what I'd expect, so I'm not sure of the SHS was that much over, or if it was just my awesome, accidental air-sealing skills that did it.

Team meeting in 30 minutes, teaching a bunch of untrained chimpanzees how to read and use a map is going to be fun
-
great.
my hadron short stroke kits have been blocked by customs.
I bet the officer will tell me they're worth €500 just to charge me an additional €50 or so for "handling"
- Show previous comments 2 more
-
@Rogerborg ended up paying €14,13, which corresponds to handling fees (didn't pay any VAT).
Definitely too much for what I ordered but eh, better than being stung for €50+
-
Tfw you replace a 50° rubber with a 70 and you gain 0.2J 😕
bollocks.

to be fair though, modified guns with fancy electronics aren't generally difficult to use, they're just difficult to build.
you plug in the battery, pop in the magazine and pull the trigger same as anything else.
granted when it stops working then there's a problem, but it's not like current aeg's are immune from that anyway.

On one hand you finally have some real innovation entering Airsoft that these days is revolving about repackaging and selling mostly the same stuff in different wrapper... on another said innovation comes under ARES brand... it's a toss-up - either it's gonna be fucking amazing and Ares is gonna rebuild their reputation or it's gonna be made out of cheese and impossible to find parts for because it's Ares... I'm pessimist by nature so not really holding my breath but I will give credits where it's due if it exceeds the expectations.

Car-15 style slim handguard yay or nay?

Seems like you've answered your own question then (unless cost ends up being prohibative). I hate the look of crane stocks and find them far too wide for my comfort, but appreciate the functional element in terms of battery storage (I prefer sleek/slim stocks, my favourite two being the B5 systems repro CAR stock and the BCM Gunfighter fwiw).
Again very much an opinion thing, but since using the Unity mount on ARs and the Zenitco B-18 on AKs I'm entirely into jacking those optics up nice and high. So much more comfortable for me, in the not too distant future I'll be looking into having a carry handle transplated onto an MWS upper to do the whole Gordy/Blood Diamond thing. Though much like you, I'm definitely not using an A1/A2 grip with the BCM mod 3 being my preference.
As always, you do you. As long as it's not landing you in crippling debt you know as well as I do that the moment you're asking this sort of question around here that you're already definitely buying it irrelevent of what gets said 😅.

Saying about wanting a ‘Gordon’ inspired look to an M4 i’ve got a classic army 733 used in BHD , greenzone and possibly blood diamond on its way to me soon . Couple of yrs ago a prop house who supplied these films with most of the guns used was selling off its airsoft inventory , and a friend who does work for the guy who bought a big chunk of the stock is helping him sell them on .

New Perun Hybrid installed.
Anti retard design: you REALLY need to be special to mess the installation, the hardest part is peeling the selector sticker off the paper.
Programming isn't super intuitive, but not a big deal, one will eventually get used to it, plus now you have a very convenient set of stickers to attach to a buffer tube/stock for a quick reminder along with the usual card.
Disabling precocking is hilarious, the gun starts to charge like a laser beam, then fires a shot to release spring tension
Binary trigger doesn't struggle anymore to read the trigger on a "slow" build like the optical did. If you hold the trigger it cancels the 2nd shot.
Two stage trigger is super convenient, although it doesn't work when binary trigger is on (I might leave binary off for now).
Adjustable precocking/ab/trigger sensitivity are a nice feature.
Rof reduction and dmr delay are two settings I'll never touch, but I get normal people would use them.
For the price? Gate can go fuck itself.
You want the absolute maximum freedom of tuning? Can't beat a Titan with Expert firmware, but these two are very different units for very different purposes (imo).
Overall, worth the wait for me.

@Adolf Hamster 2 mins will let u know

Need suggestions quick!
A guy bought my MAVs, but now he's having buyer regret.
On one side, I understand him and might offer a refund.
On the other hand, though, he was so determined on buying it until this morning.
Mind you, he already paid and I haven't shipped yet due to this situation.
What should I do? After all, he had plenty of time to ask for a refund (sent the money on saturday afternoon btw)

I’m with GG on this you shake hands then a deal is a deal, but as Hamster says it might go to dispute as he may say it never arrives
/cynical mode off
-
@GenuineGermanthat's how I do things, once I confirm a purchase, I buy it.
Speaking of buyer's remorse, yesterday I traded an old gearbox shell with a box new cyma mp5 (the cheap ones, all plastic).
Should've taken the money instead, but I do live with it and it's now posted on sale at €55 posted to be used as spare parts.
If I don't manage to shift it, it's on me as I should have been wiser
-
Pdw.
Bang on. Trigger response is absolutely fantastic.
But 25 rps are a little bit too much for my taste, I might tone it down somehow.
-
€180 disposable income for airsoft.
To the guys at Perun, please, can you kindly HURRY THE FUCK UP AND RELEASE YOUR FUCKING NEW MOSFETS? I FUCKING NEED TWO YOU CUNTS!
Will also need a couple of glock triggers
-
New rig suggestions?
Ideally something that complements my helikon tmr and smersh.
No plate carriers, I don't like them.
-
So, did some troubleshooting.
The Maxx feed tube is definitely too thick and doesn't insert into my magazines unless it's really forced in.
The same applies to the knockoff old gen unit.
Now, do i sand it down?

I checked every magazine I have. They all get stuck to the chamber (I'm testing with the units on their own, not inside the gun).
I have measured the diametre and:
Maxx ME: 9.25mm
Maxx TE: 9.25mm
SHS/Specna chambers: 9.02
Need to shave off 0.1mm all around the tube, will do it by hand as soon as I find a decent piece of sandpaper (or a very light pass with a dremel at the lowest speed possible with a stoney tool)
-
i'd say sandpaper is gonna be your best bet, trying to get an even surface with a dremel is gonna be a right pain when doing the outside of a circle.
it's a tricky one, the split feed tube seems kinda weak but also seems to work quite well, when i was running mine it'd feed every last round which was odd at first having to pump a bunch of rounds into the dirt to be sure it was clear.
-
So, ended up using a file in an arcing motion, which didn't turn out too bad.
I almost royally fucked it up because I went a little bit too deep on the rear part (which engages the bb retainer on the magazine) but I managed to fix that...sort of...
I'm at 9.08 now, I'll give it another pass at the front and sides (working on the Maxx sport which has a "fixed" tube instead of the leverage thingy, I have also removed the dumb tiny bb retention spring in the process).
Worst case I'll ask the guys at Maxx to send me another feed tube.
-
TM mk23.
Can't even begin to describe how much better than the ssx23 piece of wank that thing is..

Battleaxe EPM clones, yay or nay?

Specna in general is a brand I’ve never had any kit from so I’ve got nothing of use to contribute there I’m afraid. I dare say if you pop up a status like this one regarding them you’ll get plenty of responses. I guess the main thing is if you can get a dimensions comparison, as much as I’d like to assume they use the same shells for both mid’s and hi’s that would be assuming logic from an airsoft manufacturer... something I’ve learned isn’t a trait most tend to have.
-
Maxx chamber acquired.
Sport version at my local retailer, I wanted the pro solely for the bb retention thingy (that I can manually unlock), so I guess I'll just knock out the spring from this one.
Performance wise, it seems to give a much flatter trajectory to them 0.32s compared to the stock specna chamber and the range seems to have increased to just shy of 70 metres (70° MR).
In the meantime my 933 shat itself -.- it jams in full auto

My life is complete now
