@clumpyedge.sorry just read your post again.
I'm not sure about drones but I think you are right on that.
I'm specifically talking about people with cameras being able to film.
🙂👍

-
Don’t think anyone is saying you can’t film in a public space , but if someone objects to there child being filmed they could get the police involved and you ‘could’ be on very thin ice if you refused to either stop filming the child or refused to delete the footage .
Can’t remember the exact name but there is an offence to do with filming or photographing a minor even in a public space without consent .
-
In public consent is not needed.in the case of children they can be filmed so long as the footage does not contain any lewd or indecent images of them.
I typed in 'filming in public' and that's what it says.i know some people get really irate and scream that they dont give their permission to be filmed or that filming them is a breach of gdpr but neither statements are correct.lets face it we are all filmed every day by shops, garages, hospitals, shopping centres.its all around us.🙂👍

The problem with wedging the gearbox forward is that the motor is then pulled back by the pistol grip, and in my case, no matter how well I shim the box it'll always sound like a bag of nails because the motor is pulled out of alignment.
I'm gonna give it one more shot tonight, if it fails, I'll buy the Cyma.
-
Yup, as expected, the last attempt failed.
Cyma CM.045 here we go!

It's gonna be a 74u
my 7.4 is 10x2x1cm and the 11.1s are 10x2x1.7ish.
I'm pretty sure the 7.4 will fit, not sure about the others.
Okay, cheers guys, you've been really helpful
last question, I found some flash mags from Evolution Airsoft (Italian company that apparently makes some neat M4s), would they fit? (Remember, I know fuck all about AKs)

272 including 5 midcaps, shipping and paypal fees.
Not bad.

There was a study done by some Belgian guys, they tested a wide (60ish) variety of guns with different hops, different power sources, different energy output, they tested about 11 brands of various weight bbs and done a fuckload of maths to come up with 0.33g being the "best" weight that gave the best compromise between range, time to target and consistency.
-
i do agree with the 0.3g range being a good compromise, but i have (being a mad bastard) ran .48's in an assault gun and it is supremely effective once you mentally block out the "ker ching" noise your wallet makes every time you pull the trigger.
but these days i tend to run .32's as my baseline ammo because money is a thing and keep the .48's for the dragonuv because if i'm only gonna have 80 shots total it's not so expensive
-
As said there will be variations depending on power/energy...
CQB 300fps then yeah 0.20 ~ 0.25
DMR/Sniper on 425/450fps to propel heavier ammo
but reckon 0.12's are unlikely to be used much
unless maybe if you are running Germany's sub 250fps limit
for auto peew peew but reckon they'd fly everywhere
and may not be felt unless the Germans play naked airsoft
Kinky...

I fucking love when your gun is fucking spot on at home (even after fucking extensive testing), but then on the field it does whatever the fuck it wants.
Fuck off, really..

Former roommate (now renter) is literally digging her own grave right now.
I've always been kind and understanding towards her, letting her pay the rent way later than the usual date (because her dad gets paid on the 15th), not letting her pay for some shit she broke (like 3 door locks, a couple of handles and a window frame) and doing everything I could to fix problems without spending money.
She's exactly 1 month late now for the rent, she has to pay some bills (which I always fully pay beforehand by my own pocket), she says her dad isn't getting paid.
But her mom bought a €100+ plane ticket last week to visit her.
I have nothing against a mother visiting her daughter, for God's sake kick me in the balls if I do, but i'm quite pissed with the "haven't paid the rent yet but I spent unnecessary money" mentality.
I am now legally entitled to kick her ass out of my house. Which I will do if she pulls out any stupid excuse.
I have around 3 years worth of proof of her paying LATE despite his family not being "economically challenged", but purely because of her mother's laziness.
I may sound like a dick, but I'm getting tired of this situation.
Plus I have proof of her boyfriend (which is also a renter) actively trying to delay some procedures to try and fuck me.
Thoughts?
Shall I proceed with the eviction procedure?

Well you do get a slider instead of 5 definite steps on the trigger sensitivity tuning and a few other things, but the extra €50 are not justified imo.
Was comparing my Advanced with my mate's Expert and apart from that (which I solved with a MAXX adjustable trigger because swag and beacuse it's easier to fine tune a screw rather than a slider on a shit smartphone -.-) I haven't found anything worth..

Customs and extra fees though. But well, if the quality is there it may be worth..
Colour wise?
Pouches and holster are going to be multicam, but I'd like the belt to be of a different colour/pattern.
My TMR is in A-Tacs iX, my Mini Mav is multicam and my jpc (which will go soon) is multicam too.
Would ranger green be a decent looking match?
Btw, €80 shipped.
-
I've bought direct from UR Tactical and from their ebay page https://www.ebay.com/str/multicamguy2/BELTS-SUSPENDERS/_i.html?_storecat=2666446015 and it's still been cheaper and quicker than getting a belt from FRV. Never been stung for extra customs duty either and I've bought a range of stuff from pouches to plate carriers from them!

>" Completely unnecessary shots imo"
Necessary in order to play the game that we're all there to play at that site.
The Depot is a very-CQB site, and the engagement ranges are coming down all the time as they add more and more cover. Jet was playing the site the way it has to be played.
It's also characteristic to hear a lot of adrenaline fuelled expletives and unnecessary-but-polite apologies, but it's all forgotten about within seconds. Everybody who plays there knows and accepts this, or they stop playing. They're always over-booked, so it's clearly not a problem.
What was out of order in that video was the high BFG near the start. He'd been told very clearly not to do that, while standing right next to the marshal giving the briefing.
-
Such snowflakery, next we'll argue using bfg's indoors because it might hurt someone's ears because they chose not to wear hearing protection. How about shooting someone's eyes because they aren't wearing full seal? Go play laser tag or nerf.
-
Is it THAT hard to make milspec stuff?
I mean, molle has some precise dimensions which can't be messed up (as in it takes some effort to), yet manufacturers keep fucking it up..
-
Let's play a game:
Guess what makes my AK mosfet overheat and shut down?
(I have no clue btw, I am opening it right now)

0.7J arp9.
0.28g specna edge BBs.
Maple Leaf MR hop.
Easy 60 metres.
Can't wait to see the results once I fix the air seal.

Well, I have tested it in anger on Sunday, although without fixing the air seal.
Managed to reach people at 60 metres (measured) while pulling a MC Hammer on them.
Spread seemed almost non existent up to 45/50 metres, but I will have to confirm it with a proper shooting test (might record it and post it somewhere next sunday).
Feeding is fine, somehow. My ARP never fed flawlessly for some reason.
Overall impressed so far.
-
@Skara nice. Omega nub I gues?
-
So.
A 15 yo tried to rob an off duty cop and his gf with a toy gun (doesn't specify if airsoft or IF), got schwacked pretty hard as he took one to the face, 2 to the chest and one in the arm, then got carried to the hospital where he later died.
The boy already had troubles with the law, as did his father and one of his brothers. This episode happened in Naples, which is the same as Marseille but they all speak Italian.
When the family heard about the boy's death, they literally destroyed the hospital's ER causing harm to personnel and other "guests".
Now the mother is complaining that the cop, with an alleged firearm aimed at him, should have:
1) recognized it was a toy gun, even if there was no red tip or anything, at 3 AM in what appears to be a rather dark street
2) shoot the kid in the legs because of course he's gonna carefully aim at the kid's feet instead of putting as many shots as possible to neutralize the threat.
Also her later in the news, when asked about her family being a bunch of criminals:
"committing a crime or two is ok"
This country is fucking beautiful xD

@Skara - Yeah I don't really get what the supply chain issue is. Even if you pre-ordered yonks ago you won't have one in your hands for another four months.
-
@Skara - That's one way to ensure healthy cash flow!.....also I may have accidentally ordered one but thinking of cancelling it in hindsight. I've just ordered another SSX23 and that shoots about as far as I would need it to. Plus, really struggling to compute having only 24 rounds in my primary magazine (plus those MK23/SSX23/SSX303 mags are a bitch to load).

Tfw your local retailer is doing R-Hop installs (just fitting the patch and swapping rubber and tensioner) for €85.
A bit of a scam isn't it?
- Show previous comments 10 more
-
the only real benefit i can see to the r-hop over a default unit like ml is the ability to have a softer compound on the contact patch and a harder one for the feedlips for a high fps build.
but even then at higher fps you don't need as much spin anyway.
just saves so much hassle dropping a pre-made bucking in and knowing it's going to be positioned and shaped just right.
-
At the current state, R-Hops are just a way for techs to make some extra money. A lot of money in my tech's case.
But I am pretty sure only a handful of people will get r-hops installed, as everyone plays on .2s and the retailer doesn't stock bbs heavier than 0.25g anyway, so the service makes no sense.
I still keep my range and consistency advantage

Ok.
Here's a part list:
9" M-Lok Ares handguard €33 (40% off at a local shop).
12cm barrel extension (not sure about the actual length) €12.
M4 buffer tube €10.
Zci or Madbull black python v2 240mm €25.
That's the externals.
Internally I'm only fixing the air seal, swapping the hop chamber with a retro arms I have in a drawer and swapping the crap ETU mosfet with a Perun ETU upgrades kit. Maybe a new piston if the teeth are worn.
The front end should be a copy of my honey badger, if not a bit shorter (can't remember if my HB has a 9 or 10 inch handguard), which is still workable in tight spaces.
Would it work?
-
Quick question.
Let's pretend I want to buy a gun from a UK shop while living in another country. Not a UK citizen, just a Europoor.
Do I need a UKARA or anything like a defence?
Asking for a person who raised the question.
-
Isn't it lovely when your gun shoots lasers until you hit the field, then shots go everywhere but where you aim.
Nonetheless it got me a couple of otherwise impossible hits

Can't find decent m4 mag pouches

I've just been using cheapo condor open top (the ones with the bungee cord retention) on my belt setup. Outdoor in pissing it down rain, brambles, mud, all sorts and have been working fine for me the past few years. That's including me swapping them out with a budget taiwangun pistol mag pouch for my VSR mags pretty much every game. Not really something that would fit the 'look' though I imagine 😄
-
Thanks for the suggestions
I have been using those condor cheapo ones for ages and they performed relatively well, but I am slowly replacing all the clone pouches with the real deal (getting rid of those too).
KYWIs are impossible to find.
In the meantime, I have found Helikon competition pouches and Templars TACO clones, both reasonably priced. I have abandoned the quest for closed top pouches because it's either TMC or Crye with not much choice in between -.-

PTS grips might look cool but they are a fucking design disaster..
Holy shit.
- Show previous comments 8 more
-
I think they have the same geometry as the old PTS MOE grips (back when the still had the Magpul License). They had to change the texturing to distance the design from Magpul's when the license was pulled.
The old grips were a PITA because of the base plate - didn't play nice with many motors (you didn't have enough height adjustment to back the motor out far enough). Hopefully that's been sorted on the newer design.
-
So I found this telegram group.
People are buying/selling airsoft kit.
There's enough material to post once per hour on Macks for the next 15 years!
I've put a few items in there too (at reasonable prices, 65% of rrp yallayalla), I'm getting some dumb offers, didn't know I had "charity" next to my name.
