Opinions on the TM D.O.R Hi Cappa?
I understand it has M45A1 Blowback unit and is not compatible with some parts etc. Not looking to upgrade beyond bucking and inner barrel anyway.
Can get a new one for a good price. I have never had a Hi Cappa before but hear many good things. What is the trigger response like? (Love the response of my TM Strike Warrior, but the M9 has a pretty long pull). Will it fit standard Hi Cappa holsters?- Show previous comments 1 more

I have the D.O.R and yes many parts are not compatible with standard 5.1 parts.
I got mine for £135~ from camo raids.
Really like it but it's my first pistol. I want to stick a tracer on it but it's proving difficult because outer barrels aren't compatible. I ordered this expensive dodad from america to epoxy in to the end of the plastic barrel to fit tracers

Latest broken thing as a skirmish.
Samsung A70 2 months old, in my pocket whilst playing at Hockley and screen broken. Didn't even get hit! Purple fluid leaking into the screen... have never broken a phone before 😕
No Real sword purchase for me this month:-(

So decided not to go to the new site in Romford because of the wind. Going to a different one altogether now tonight for the latest in SE Tour reviews 😉
-
Looking at the next visit for the SE Tour Reviews. Looking at Dragon's Lair in Essex, Reforger and Red 1 School in Watford.
What are your guys experience of them? I cant believe how close Reforger and Red 1 School are...
Does Red 1 still not have to top two floor available due to the film crew?

@Prisce thats a weird reason to ban someone and a little bit stalkerish if they follow what groups people are in on facebook? It does look small but loads of people say you have to go once to make your own mind up, seems to always have a pretty decent attendance.
-
Well my team mate rang the owner and asked if he was included in the ban(he had his Ukara registered to DL) and the owner just said Anyone associated with said person is banned, including you and he put the phone down.
You have met the Team mate in question by the way, and you’d agree he isn’t the sort to be trouble. It was just incredibly childish of the site owner.
On another note for the site, we did play some good games there, but the clientele weren’t very happy when we played the games to the rules and out smarted them.
-
Well.... That's a shitter. Not really how I personally would conduct a site but hey, their site, their rules. A blanket ban judged off of a perception of one player seems a bit much though. I'd book on under a different name and e-mail address 🤣
I've been to a few sites where the attitude changes from the regulars when the "away" team starts whipping them.

Latest broken gun. Only one week old Went to reload it and the whole plastic back section has disintegrated.
I should be able to get a replacement as its very new. But I also spoke to Maxtact who apparently have replaced that part with a stronger polymer one as this is not a one off. They are hoping to push the new part out to retailers shortly. So the question is... Do I get a new one, but run the risk of getting an older one with the same soft part. Or get the newer part in and put in this one?

Decided on what rifle to get next, but the pound is doing terribly against the Euro. Going to have to hold off for now and hope the exchange rate gets a little better... But there are only 2 left in the entire EU!

Well, since you went there, Sterling has been over-valued for decades.
Here's our 10 year balance of trade. Note that in February this year it was over £7 billion, just in one month - the wrong way. That reflects money leaving our economy, and ultimately it only comes back in when DeM MusLaMiCs (or the Russians and Chinese) purchase up our infrastructure for rent-seeking purposes, which just leads to even more money flowing out.
Those of us who work in exports (you're welcome) would like to see Sterling come down a fair bit yet to make us more competitive in a global consumer market that values low price over high quality.
It doesn't have to be that way: historically we've had period of trade surplus.
I'm sorry if the long overdue correction to Sterling makes toy gun purchases or booze cruises in Shagaluf more expensive, but it's an inevitable result of living in a high cost, high tax economy with an inflated currency.
Also, send 'em all back, mine the channel, mandatory gammon three meals a day, and so on.
-
@Rogerborg I am aware of that. Interest rates have been artificially low for a very long time to try and increase growth, but it's just not effective anymore and we are trapped as an economy.
In terms of buying a toy gun, this is still a good time to buy... so we'll see.

Put over a thousand rounds in my LMG at home since I upgraded it. First pull of the trigger on its first game day and sounds like the gears/piston is gone. Bloody hell!
-
I ordered a new ZCI 6.02 363mm for my XM8 Recently. Went to put all the project parts together and realised I had already bought a ZCI barrel in anticipation for the XM8 a month previously...
...I guess i'll need to buy another gun to put it in unless of course I put it in my new Tavor whenever it arrives, would be fairly over volumed though.

@L3wisD all will be revealed 😉 and no it's completely new.

Anyone know a cheap surplus place that can do next day delivery? Want a summer loadout for Sunday.
-
Oh Shi'... my missus made an off hand comment about how she didn't realise how many rifles I have... I think she worked out that my 9 rifle bags also have an additional rifle in the large front pocket of each one!

One woman in her twenties
I wish!
On my death I would donate my rifles to my Battlebuddy, but he cant stand bullpups. He'd keep the L85 and spunk the rest away.
-
So its more than 1 woman? You player!
-
Its about time I supported the site. Grabbed myself a patch OD though, don't want anything too loud
-
Will be playing Airsoft Plantation on the 21st of July. It's my birthday so will be joined by my missus as well and Battlebuddy and his missus, both of which haven't played before.
Anyone else coming out?

Sniper rifle got a TDC mod, the wheel however is pretty loose and would be easy to adjust unintentionally especially with the camo wrap on it.
There is a small soft spring underneath the wheel surrounding the screw. If I unscrewed the TDC wheel and put a stronger spring underneath, should that solve the problem?
Alternatively, can I just take the wheel and screw out and just replace with an allen key grub screw?-
@clumpyedge Yeah I will try some PFTE first, though I will probably go with an M4 Grub screw as I carry an Allen key with me at all times whilst skirmishing anyway (If my DMR locks up on semi I have a hole in the side of the receiver so I can poke something in and catch the cut off lever.)
-
I have found a brand new SRC XM8 (Gen2) out in the wild in Europe... Hmm, should I grab another?
-
My ICS L85 succumbed to the gradual loosening of the selector screw. This causes the rifle to go into full auto even on Semi. Usually you need to tighten up the screw on the other side of the selector. Unfortunately this screw is very easy to round off the head due to it's size.
Fired off an email to ICS asking for the exact screw size and they say they are working on a retrofit permanent solution. The screw is a Countersunk, M2, 8mm with .4 thread pitch. Ordered a bunch.
-
There are multiple fixes for this. I could never get any of them to work in my G&G L85 though.
A buddy put SR25 gears into the box(slight modification if I remember correctly), and that solved the issue permanently.
I had one machined but it cost £50 at mates rates and that was far too much in my eyes.
Apparently there is a way to prevent it with a certain battery and motor set up... can’t remember anything about this though.

@Lasbrisas17 Have you played Gunman camp Bravo? Any good?

Managed to convince my BattleBuddy to buy the new TM AK47 Type 3 Recoil whilst at CamoRaids today. The Recoil is soft, but the sound is bloody gorgeous!

If he needed persuading, then get away from him ! as quickly and as far as you can ! sounds like he’s infected with the insidious disease that is ‘will power’ ! 😱
