I've always speculated that sites don't want to convert to joule based rules due to logistics, it's easy to tell someone to unload BBs and put in a few 0.2 BBs then look at the glowing box and read the number, but given most chronos are not very user friendly, if you have a long queue of people trying to get through and everyone's using a different weight, it'll take ages if you gotta change the settings after every person, or buy a bunch of chronos for each weight.
I never thought it's from ignorance, I was proven wrong by this site owner.

Hey guys, came across this thread when I asked an airsoft WhatsApp group I was in what they thought about Xtreme Tactical as I was about to place a pre-order and heard some worrying comments then was eventually directed to this thread.
I'm here to speak in defence of Xtreme Tactical with no affiliation to them, but simply a customer of theirs since they were Rifle Optics UK on eBay and more recently Xtreme Tactical in their own store.
2016 July: Elcan Spectre FDE for 7.62 from Rifle Optics UK on eBay.
2016 November: Eotech branded handheld thermal sight X320 from Rifle Optics UK on eBay.
2024 June: Holosun 509T in FDE from Xtreme Tactical from their site
2024 July: SIG Romeo X Pro FDE (Released a month ago, which the owner listed on their site within a few days at my request, received just under 2 weeks later)
I have had nothing but good experience, these optics are all difficult to source even with other sites which I buy from often, such as TacticalKit or Uttings. Prices have been within market range and they are also VAT registered for those this is relevant to.
I can't speak for the way the owner behaved or how it "got personal" given none of the exchange were made public by either party, if you are a legitimate shop that deals in genuine optics and accessories, which in my experience Rifle Optics / Xtreme Tactical proved to be, being called out by someone who isn't a customer of yours that you are a fraud is understandably frustrating to say the least, especially when the accusation seems mostly from observing screenshots and markings, which any collector of real optics can tell you, markings can change even for the same model between batches, and just because something is real and costs a lot, does not make them immune to bad QC (I've had to exchange the Trijicon SRO with Beechwood due to visible glue residue in the diode lens reflecting through the sight picture, every one of my Eotech has delaminated and I own Surefire(s) with at least three different type of markings). I can however speak to my experience as a customer, every one of these purchases have been dealt with swiftly, shipped within the stated time windows, there were no troubles with customs as they were shipped from the UK, and the products were as advertised (i.e. genuine).
I'm going out of my way to do this because it felt like the dogpile was unfair, as an optics and accessories collector in the UK and a happy customer, the service Xtreme Tactical offers is rare, hate to see the attacks against them go unchallenged.

Having a new issue with my old APFG MCX (the black one not the LT), it locks back on every shot regardless if it's at the last round, even my drum mag that straight up has no bolt lock tab it's causing the gun to lock back. Can't think of anything except to stretch the spring (or switch out to a stronger one) in the lower that applies pressure on the bolt catch... 😕 wonder if it's just the heat causing the recoil to bounce everything up while it's cycling.

For what it's worth Boomarms went through a warehouse move recently, and his only other staff left after the move so it's just him trying to deal with the move with no help.
Not giving him an excuse, some better communication and expectation managements with some assurance on top should be the bare minimum, but just providing some context as to why they went from decent service to absolutely terrible service seemingly overnight.

I really enjoy low/mid-low cap that you get with GBBs, having to worry about your current mag capacity, or even organising partially used mags within your rig is an additional level of the game if you're into it, and in fights, for CQB at least you're not really at a meaningful disadvantage, what I really dislike however, is that you end up spending a lot more time in the respawn topping up every mag / gas in order to go back out fully loaded, versus if you just had an AEG where you rarely even have to top up in-between lives.

Work in progress SD, not the most authentic but will do the job, makes fitting batteries in easier the handguard is held on by a 3D printed cap which is then pressed against by the printed suppressor. Underneath it all is still the original gun with the tri-lug and the adapter it comes with, with an Acetech Blaster M module in front of it. Will have the suppressor made in metal in the future.

That housing is very cool, is that custom made or pieced together from other things?
Yeah custom made / 3D printed.

On a less firer note:
Surefire handguard, as we already know, is a drop fit, with some patience I was able to fit a 7.4v 1400mah nunchuck, I also had a shorter 7.4v 1300mah nunchuck which was even easier to fit into this handguard. Eotech 551 on a VFC generic low profile claw mount, and as I have a game soon before I could get hold of a Gemtech I came up with a little MP5 specific housing for the Acetech S unit's internal.

Could you tell us who this retailer is?
-
I called my retailer the first time I read this thread, i.e. yesterday at around 1pm.
My retailer is Wolf Armouries. They said they have not heard anything about the MP5s going wrong, the only thing they are getting from customers is people asking for when they will restock for more, especially for the mags.
I am now confused.

We've been late... more than once, they're generally accommodating if you warn them ahead of time and have a good reason (such as due to train times)
