Can't remember his username,  just that while everyone who'd seen the vid was in agreement the body language indicated he'd seen the gun before walking on it at least twice ?(I think), this guy argued otherwise.

    Anybody else remember it ?

Only person I remember arguing with everyone was "Duff" but unsure if it was him arguing.

    Exactly my thoughts

That doesn't surprise me. From the short time I was in the group I got the distinct impression that anything other than having your tongue up the owner's arse wasn't acceptable

I honestly thought it had a good reputation (the site), this thread seems to be telling me otherwise.

Has anyone asked Driver Wood why they've decided to do this?

Yes on Facebook it was asked, it didn't get answered. As I said, everyone started arguing about GDPR and radio frequencies.

However it appears the post about the Tesco cosplay has been deleted off of their feed

In my opinion, it's better to have it and not need it rather than need it and not have it.

I've seen a few marshals get into altercations with aggressive players who aren't happy with them and/or other players over the years, plus it only takes a few knob heads to make a complaint that could then be proven true or false via camera. I don't quite understand why a negative approach has been taken to a site owner wanting to protect his employees, but that's just me 🤷‍♂️

I'm not being negative about it, just don't really see a point. As I've said, I've never seen an "altercation" between marshalls and players, you have. Maybe it's needed maybe its not... nothing to do with professionalism though, if they started filming players etc id suspect a complaint about them may take a while to settle if people are asking for the footage to be sent to them etc. Plus they'll have a headache if they "lose" footage or capture something inappropriate, just for the sake of what? A jumped up airsoft nugget who doesn't accept his/her gun doesn't shoot as far as the person next to him.

Again, I dont disagree with your points, particularly around safety, but I just don't see a point in having them.

If a site has to go to this level to “police” it’s staff and players in terms of cheating or aggro then it really doesn’t say much about the site at all does it 🤔

Does seem odd, Driver Wood isn't exactly chav central unlike a certain place that's come to the forum's attention this week.

The footage isn't going to be social media worthy either.

Quote 1: I've never played there but I thought it had a good reputation, but I agree it does seem odd

    Quote 2: exactly my thoughts...

probably similar reason the police wear them, to make it a deterrence for trouble, and marshals not doing their job properly

Genuinely, I've never seen an issue where a body cam would benefit anyone or anything.

    Edit: at an airsoft site

  7. Morning all,

Browsing social media and I saw this post from Driver Wood Airsoft regarding their new Marshall "kit".

Most of the comments are people asking about the GDPR for the camera (then others arguing about GDPR) and the sepura radio.

However, it got me thinking... what's the need for a body cam, at airsoft. I've never seen someone try to square up to a Marshall and its not going to offer quality for a live link to see if someone is cheating

I would appreciate if someone could point out some good PC games for me. Offline and online, doesn't matter. I've only got 2 PC games right now which are Starcraft II and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. I'm really thinking of getting Far Cry 2. -Btw, my setup is able to play probably any game with ease.

Baldurs gate 3 - without doubt, the best game of the year, I'd argue decade. The depth the lore the replayability, the characters, the builds, I could go on. 150hours for the whole game including side quests or 70 for main quests.

Or get xbox game pass (pc or console) and get free games

If that's not your thing, dishonored 1 or 2 is good, like Hitman but set in the industrial times.

Hitman 3 - above but modern

    Halo

i still think divinity original sin is great but is easily trumped by Bg3

    Planet zoo

Steam have a sale on right now, I think its only 10% off so you can try other places but it's an easy way to pick up cheap games.

To be fair, all of the games that I mentioned in your original quote I actually think I still play them or at least would if I wasn't doing other things.

No worries.  Thanks for letting me know.

Will the meet be rescheduled to another date again?

At this point, no. I've messed luke around enough with dates etc and it's almost impossible to get an answer from some.

Anyone know if the meet is going ahead? Or has it been cancelled?

Dont want to travel and find im the only one that turned up.

Apologies for the tag spam, but i didnt get a reply to my post from last week

It's cancelled. Nobody replied to take over. Sorry for not replying, been extremely busy.

  11. Ok - bit of bad news - I have to work on this date now and cannot get out of it.

Since i've had to move dates around already and I know a few people changed things around to get this sorted - I need to hand this over to someone else OR it will be cancelled.

I'm happy to refund anyone now, or you can wait until a replacement is found to carry on the booking. Its pretty much all done you just need to nail the numbers down and chase people for money.

I'll give it a couple days, if nobody taking over ill cancel - i have informed Luke already.  DM me if you want a refund, you'll have to give me some sort of idea of whom im looking out for in the account though.

    Thanks and love. Sorry.

  12. Everyone who has previously shown interest has been PM'd as have people that have said theyre coming.

    to confirm

    1830 - 2300 on the 31st July

£25.00 per player, if we can get 25 players minimum

Places still available - we are on around 19/20 players at the moment but most havent paid.

  13. For all those involved, I've emailed and asked for the 31st as this was most requested.

For all of those that have NOT paid, please start to think about paying as it needs to be paid before we get there, need 26 total players minimum otherwise its more expensive.

Pm me with numbers you'll have with you and I'll reply with bank details. Thanks. Any questions post below.

  14. Apologies all, been really busy with work. Emailed Zed a few days back, we can book for July which is perfect. Trying to confirm dates. 17th works for me, so please check your diaries. I will see if they have availability for the 17th, once I have confirmation from them, I will let everyone know.

    https://www.fire-support.co.uk/product/angrygun-mp7-qd-silencer-for-marui-gbb-mp7-gen-2-version

The proper MP7 style QD suppressor is what Im rocking on mine, and I love it.

Does it actually silence the gun? Maybe ever so slightly? I find it changes the pitch of the snap it makes rather than silences it. But who cares when the MP7 sounds so awesome, the loud snappy crack of it firing quite often makes people go "WTF is that?" Though its not quite as satisfyingly noisy as my mates B&T MP9

Looked at this although its OOS.

  16. Howdy!

Since my last question regarding a silencer (https://www.patrolbase.co.uk/castellan-airsoft-dummy-hexaco-suppressor-long) was a no vote - I need some inspiration for a new silencer. It doesnt have to be a tracer, as over the summer ill be using it outside. But I do have a smaller tracer to go on it for when I go inside so no problem there.

I want it to preferably work as a silencer and not a dummy one for looks.

Any links or thoughts greatly appreciated, much love
