Love my RPK but it’s a bit slow, any upgrade suggestions as I’m truly clueless when it comes to techy stuff like that?
-
I keep mine slow. Chugging is better than bryyrttting in my book.
Learn to hit the noisiest cover to keep heads down. The support gunners role is to supress. Shooting a noisy pattern of BBs interspersed with a 'likely places that the opposition will appear,' is key. Too fast fire rate will just eat up your BBs.
Eight years in to support gunning and I've not teched the damn thing once. My G&G M4 is tricked out to the bollox as are various other rifs.

Anyone got any links to cheap torches with remote switch?
-
Ledray are bulletproof and not silly Surefire money. Not cheap but I've had mine for 15 or so years.
I have a couple of these on airsoft rifs: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/354512677837 I think that I've had them about three years or so. TBH I prefer to press the rear of the torch with my thumb, and angle/mount the torch to be able to do so.

Is there a difference between fog on one's eyepro, and moisture on one's eyepro? I never seem to get that type of fog which clears up with sufficient airflow - you know, the type that if it's on a car window, you can write rude words on it with your finger. The "fog" that appears on my eyepro is more akin to moisture - I can see right through it, but my vision is all distorted (so just as crippling).
Am I tackling the wrong problem here? Am I special? Or stupid? I've tried using Fog Stop, Muc-Off anti-fog spray, fan-assisted shooting glasses, and nothing seems to stop this moisture-fog from showing up and needing a wipe. It's all so tiresome.

It's sweat literally streaming off of your face i.e. in rivulets. If I smear lenses in Cat Crap so thick that it stops mist build up, it still doesn't work as there is simply too much sweat sloshing across the lens.
For some of us it's Herosharks or you simply can't see.

I know its an airsoft form but can I sell an air rifle part? It's only a brass adapter I have lying around. Cant be bothered with ebay!

I would like to wish everyone a very happy Christmas and New Year.
It's been an interesting, funny and,at times, fudal year of forum shannigins and banter which all makes afuk the place to be.
As of now I am in Christmas mode and shall be donning the Santa apron and putting the Heineken hat on and staying up late.(10.30ish) lol.
I shall probably go dark for a while as posting up eats into drinking time🍺🍺.
God willing I shall be looking forward to another year of Airsoft and gun fun 😁
Enjoy your festiveness and I hope all your wishes come true x
P.s
No talking about me while I'm gone👍
Regards

Just filled in the paperwork for my UKARA. Exactly 56 days between the first three games! How's that for good planning?
-
You know things are bad when peanuts aren't peanuts anymore.
Mrs Shamal bought a 250gm bag of dry roasted KP nuts today. £5 fucking 50p?
Oh well at least we will have something for Xmas dinner. Lol

Someone please help me (with my mental illnesses)...
I'm buying a Land Rover!

It was a sad day when the last proper Defender was pushed off the production line and towed home by their new owners.

Enjoying the stars and a few ciders at Cajun Chicken. Great weekend so far.
-
Ruined a PTS grip yesterday.
Applied threadlock and it INSTANTLY hardened, for some reason 😕
-
Not coming to Cold War? We need WARPAC badly
-
I can't really do two weekends in a row. I promised to support Cajun Chicken last year before the dates were out. I will do Cold War at some point next year though. Hopefully Denn will get a better date for CC after the low attendance this time around.
I expect that I'll do S.T.A.L.K.E.R.S. next and that'll be it for themed games this year.

do people usually run comms on a sunday skirmish? debating if its worth getting a pair of comms capable ear pro, or just run a bog standard walkers razor or howard leights and invest into comms later
-
I didn't know anyone that played airsoft until I started to play airsoft. Fellow fanatics find each other.
Play well at the same site for a while and you'll soon get together with like minded people/loons.
Playing themed games gets you into friendships too. I share a frequency with a lot of people these days!

Was considering ordering a VFC aeg. Violently spilled a cup of coffee on my laptop. Took it as a sign not to proceed.

Just booked my Operation Thunder tickets for the weekend after this.
Bloody excited just thinking about going. Since I'm training pretty hard at the moment, my black PJs do emulate the pong of a chap whose been in the field for too long a couple of times a week.
Du ban GI!

Underwear change required. Using a compressor (set to 3k psi with auto cut off) to fill my 3000psi bottle for the 1st time. Whoosh 5k burst disk ruptures. I nearly go deaf and damn near sh!t myself lol
-
I used to work with cast fittings at silly pressures. We once had a batch of ball valves with no balls in them. Since they were small control valves no one noticed until the system was pressured up. Some idiot had re-boxed Chinese knock off rubbish and sold them unchecked. It happened a lot. We always bought rupture discs and lifting gear from the manufacturers direct as a result. As Rog says, 40% over spec and its really not funny!

Running. Making me realise airsoft isn't so expensive after all.

Tournament tomorrow, a bit nervous because I am the team leader.
Also we are forced to use brown BBs which means nobody will either hit shit or call hits.
Recipe for disaster tbf

Getting my loadout ready for a game the weekend after next. This post apocalypse look is seriously harder than it looks. Reckon my 1970s Warsaw Pact kit will be a good base.
Gas mask is de-filtered and ready.
Snow Wolf K98 is shooting uncannily well as usual.
TM 1911 is fine for a magazine a fill. If it's cold I'll use red gas. Since we're limited to 17 BBs it will be fine capacity wise.
Nice to have a game less than an hour away (ish).
Camping in October is fine if you have the kit. A touch of medicinal scotch will work wonders too no doubt.
-
I'm off to Stalkers at Tuddenham next weekend.
I'd like to see the wood m700. Certainly looking forward to Namsoft next year. Last game of the season has come to mean the coming of the autumn.
When I find what I know is lurking in the house kit wise, you may get a pic @Rogerborg. I've a pair of 1930s goggles that I want to re-lens for one. Should be on my dead Nazi tankman's skull but someone has moved them.

Hi folks,
I have not skirmished for several years now ,due to arthritis and now having to care for my wife. I am 73 ...but still have an interest in collecting rather than skirmishing.
Main interests are WW2 and Vietnam era weapons.
-
My arthritis plays me up something awful sometimes. I still play though. I just moved a lot more slower and sneak about even more than usual. My favourite is getting well forward and then shooting the other team in the back as they advance.
Thoroughly agree that an hour in the man shed works. It's all therapy mate.
