This was my concern about playing Z-Mart yesterday. Covid on the rise, and a new CQB site where no-one knows the layout, it's a recipe for utter disaster if anyone person there was infected with it. But, it would have taken a stampede of wild horses to keep me from going in the doors yesterday, truth be told. I wasn't missing the opening day of The Mall's successor. People kept their distance in the safe zone, and were told to wear masks, and there were sanitisers on every table, and players were told they should wear a mask under their mask in the game area. But when it comes to the game zone it stops existing. Everyone is trying to get through every door all in a bunch, and people are mingling together in the respawn points - but it almost cannot be helped. The trouble is, people - myself included, so I can't plead perfection here - would come in from a game, all sweaty, hot and out of breath and sit in the safe zone and... kind of, forget to put their masks on in the safezone. I can't say if it was intentional or not - my own excuse was that I purely forgot, it's routine, isn't it? to come in from a game, plop on the chair at your table and exhale and cool off. Time will tell I guess.

They're running: Every Sunday - 8:30-4:00 Every Thursday Evening - 6:30pm - 11:00 Every Saturday Mid-day - 12:00 pm - 6:00 Sundays are £30. Thursday/Saturday are £25. Ben did say yesterday they'd run any other day of the week and at any time for private events if you can find 20 players.

Somewhat. The main issue was mostly 15 guys immediately looking in my direction all with very fast fingers on Semi-Automatic M4s And me with my 4x 25rnd USP magazines, I was trying not to spam the trigger much, if at all. I was worried I'd be the only attacker for about 30 minutes!

Over the weekend I helped out with building (Translation: Holding bits of wood while someone drilled them) and clearing (Heaving bits of metal and wood out of the way) and Played on the Sunday. Here's the scoop: Once you're inside it feels much much bigger than you'd think from the floorplan. The upstairs shop floor has been made with a cool killhouse-style cqb feel. Escalator in the middle of the floor makes for a good point to sway the tide of a fight. With cool corridors running around the outside going into seperate rooms to flank. Downstairs is a bit more open, but with good cover to dash between. There's little rat-runs and nooks to hide in / use to flank. There's a good amount of what were once changing rooms to hide and get the drop on people. There's two main stairwells linking both floors, the main stairs by the site entrance are nice and wide and well lit, and then a 2nd stairwell is a lot darker and sneaky, which leads into a big dark room before you enter the downstairs shop floor. There's no grenades allowed at the moment. They've been told by the owners they're allowed, but they're choosing to wait for the neighbours to get used to them first after advise from Thames Valley Police. The stairwells make for some difficult choke points, but this was going to be the case on the first day - the team were great at responding to criticism on the day and moved barricades and objects between (and even during!) games to help the flow and avoid doorways etc being completely choked off. I'm quite proud to announce that I was the first ever death at the new site. I was the sole attacker against everyone else in the maiden game (when you're hit you join the attackers). This game was a struggle to get a kill with only my USP on me! Definitely taking an SMG next time! Overall it was great, it felt like being back on familiar soil. A return to form etc. It even smells like The Mall! That damp, cold concrete and dust scent! I'll upload photos in a second.

Yeah, just seen him named and shamed on Reddit. I'm sure we won't, but please can we avoid outing him on here please. There's not even 100% proof the named chap is the guy in the video yet.

A huge shame this. The Depot was always on my "list" of sites I'd love to play at. I remember you foreshadowing this in a post a little while back as well roger. It sucks that Airsoft - or peoples livelihoods in general can be changed overnight because of a virus. I don't think we'll ever forget 2020... What are the options for Indoor CQB in Scotland now after this? Do you think the depot owners might try and re-locate?

This was something I was contemplating myself earlier actually. For all intents and purposes they are the same width, with each "Compartment" being the same. But the SMG inserts being open at the bottom allow the smg mags to sit further down into the pouch. I've got two of the Pistol mag inserts and they're good - retention is tight on the mag without being annoying and you can sit the insert down into the pouch quite far so only the baseplate sits proud of the pouch itself. Wouldn't worry about them falling out.

The old thread is now fixed, so I've merged the temporary new thread with this one! As you were! I find it ok to be fair. The trick I found is to holster your pistol into the insert and then insert the VX Holster insert into your chest rig with the pistol in. The Utility rig will then form around the pistol, so it fits well while still allowing the pistol to have room. It's really really good. Especially considering how little they cost.. about £24 in some shops! It's especially convenient being able to have each one set up for a different play style too. Saves having to buy a new plate carrier and pouches for each eventuality. I've no complaints about the quality either, the stitching is nice and tidy and they feel very robust. Very much recommend the newer Viper gear (just maybe avoid the older stuff)

Tried using Android version of Opera incase it was a chrome problem. Still happening with opera too.

The whole forum has been quite janky for me since the update. I'm using the Android version of Chrome. For instance, typing is maddening. Every time I pretty the "Return" key to type a new paragraph, it makes my keyboard disappear, which makes me accidentally press post, or on an advert and then it takes me off the page. So typing a new paragraph involves typing, pressing enter, pressing back into the message box, pressing enter again, and then pressing in the message box to resume typing. And it seems to be the long threads that I can't go into, getting those error messages on "what have you just bought", "gun photos" and occasionally Mack's.

It's incredibly collectible though. I've seen WA guns sell for way more than that.

Let's not get too excited yet...
