Sounds promising..... although I may leave my MWS for the warmer months. Unless that is next Sunday we have a heat wave? What’s the chances of that? Hmmmm🤔

By the way, why do you need a rear sling plate. The MWS comes with one already yeah?

My MWS didn't come with a sling plate able to put a sling through. Just a blank one.

  2. Second outing with MWS today and after using red gas (nuprol 3) it was fantastic couldn't get enough.

Managed to get 2 full mags out of one gas (12c) which is what I'd expect, just looking for a good red dot now and should be perfect.

Oh and a rear sling plate.

Oh hello......... <porn> Those are magpul sites,,,, I do like that... as a matter of fact I have Magpul PTS Masada lost in the loft somewhere I can nab the sites of that but they are black.. However me being me, I'll probably get a black magpul grip, I'm just too conservative when it comes to mixing colours on my rifle lol...

Do it... you know you want too 😂. It just makes the rifle look sexy! Although an all black rail would look nice too. I have a 9 inch DD lite rail which I could plonk on to see what it looks like too.

Thats a lovely looking gun there, I'm right in thinking ill need an adapter ring to get the mk18 rail to fit?

In this sort of weather you want to be running the MWS on Red (Nuprol 3.0). FPS still wont be an issue. You should only fill the mags until it spurts liquid gas at you.

Replacement Nub, whether its the SixG brass, or a Plastic H nub is a must. The SixG brass nub and a mod tan bucking will happily lift .4g bb's.

Thanks for the reply will get some red ordered.

  5. So had my first outing with my MWS today and it wasn't as smooth as I'd of hoped.

Firstly I'm not sure if I'm filling the magazines up to little but 15seconds of nuprol 2.0 should be enough to fill it right?

I only seem to get one full magazine out of a mag and thats with it getting abit sluggish towards the end.

Also it doesn't really lift .3s like people have said is doesnt so will be getting a new nub.

Other then that I enjoyed the function on the gun and the realism, didn't like my vision king short dot so will be getting rid and buying a t1 or something.

Blimey aren't the magazines heavy though when they are all in a dump pouch haha.

Fire Support still have a bunch of the P-Mag style (polymer) Iron Airsoft MWS mags in stock:

    https://www.fire-support.co.uk/product/iron-airsoft-mws-block1-gbbr-black-magazine-39-rnds

About a tenner more than regular TM mags, but they look damn slick, hold a few more BBs and seem to work well - at least so far for me (I bought one just for looks and have been using it for plinking during lockdown; no problems at all).

I'll keep my eye on those for reviews in the field as some few videos on YouTube ive seen dont show them in very good light.

I'll just take my elcheapo cyma with me in case.

Take a full speedloader and small can of green gas out on the field with you 👍

I have thought of doing that but think it would be a pain after every fire fight. Will keep an eye out for some mags.

  8. As long as I can get one with a bolt lock on empty id be happy.

As to a gbbr I find the magazines price over the top and to have enough (for me on a game) would need around 5-6 all together and that'd nearly the price of the gbbr anyway.

I'll keep doing my research and have a look at a few gbbrs at my local shop, as for getting a gbbr it would either be a GHK or TM.

  9. I've done a bit or reaserxh since posting this and I'm just after some general information about daytona kits.

I've been looking at either the m249 kit or the m4 with bolt lock kit.

How hard are they to fit? I'm handy with DIY and ive teched a couple of eag boxes before.

    Are they accurate?

I'm all about realism to be honest so I wouldn't want a AR type gun without a bolt stop, plus I've never owned a gbbr so would that be a better option for now?

    Thanks for the help.

  10. After reading most of this thread I've decided to take the plunge and buy one.

I've got a question though ive got a el cheapo £20 pinty sight spare will ot be ok with the recoil or will I loose the zero pretty quickly?

I dont mind paying a bit more for something that will keep its zero.

    Thanks.

  11. Replica Magpul UBR

For sale here I have a recent purchase of mine, a replica Magpul UBR stock with the buffer tube to fit gas blow backs I’ll also include my modified Krytac buffer tube so it will fit on a AEG, it’s a great condition as it’s only been on the gun for a couple of months and only ever seen 1 skirmish.

any questions feel free to ask.

    @Eenthuncob I'm loving the magazine choice ;)
How do they run with your Krytak? I've got the CRB model thats still stock from factory, and yet to do a game with the EPM mags so just out of curiosity for the feed and such.

The mags feed great and have a bit of wobble but I sorted that out by putting a little bit of sticky Velcro in the mag well and no wobble what so ever now.

I couldn’t believe how good the mags felt when I first got them as well very high quality. I’d recommend getting them, you get what you pay for in this case.
