Ive had a Dynatec for years. Its pretty much flawless. The delay is around 3secs. Ive heard the by leaving it compressed its possible to make it longer, but i like having a short timer on it. They can be fiddly to reload. Definately not something that can be done quickly. (Unscrew cap; pop out the old shell; use a tool to re-set the firing pin; hold the spoon in place while re-inserting the pin; "oh bugger, where did i put the pin"; new shell; screw cap back on). There are some multi-shot impact ones that are (allegedly) more user friendly. But, as with anything, its preference. Ive had my Dynatec around 10yrs and will likely not go any other way.

Nothing overly special, but my M4 Stubby. Need to grab a short taclight for it and tweak some internals. But overall its pretty faultless. Just need to get a sunday off now so i can use the damn thing...

To be really pedantic; As the barrels on airsoft guns aren't rifled, can they really be classed as Rifles at all?

I saw a couple of guys running with FlashMags on the weekend. They seemed pretty chuffed with them. Personally, in a Mid Player as I don't like the constant rattling as I move around. However, I do always carry one HiCap (packed as much as it can be so it makes as little noise as possible) for those Rambo Moments.

Just to rekindle an old thread; Just ordered a Prometheus 6.03 barrel and a Purple Rubber Nub thingy will follow shortly. Going to look into getting some .28 BBs soon too. I've got an old TM Hop Unit going spare I can use. Is there really much point in buying an *upgrade* for the unit itself? Most of the work is done by the barrel and the rubber, isn't it?

Does anyone know what pouches/fittings can be used on the back panel of an LA Assault Vest? The loops are about half be width and twice the height of MOLLE Trying to find a way to attach a Camelbak, but google isn't being my friend :-( Thanks :-)

Never heard of Army Force myself, so I'll let someone else jump in on this one.....(help!) Just remember; swapping around the front end/ stock on an M4 is a piece of cake. But changing the body is fiddly. You'll need to fit all the little bits (fire selector, dust cover & release mechanism...etc etc). It's not a simple case of slotting in your old gearbox. If you have an "old style" 2-Part Hop Unit this will need to be replaced - which I only found out recently!

Most new receivers would be fine. If/when you find one you like, ask about on here to see if anyone had any idea of the brand. But (in my experience) 90% of parts are interchangeable. (My M4 is currently using Tokyo Marui, JG, G&P and D-boys parts internally and externally and I haven't had to modify anything). Some of the more "unique" receivers are quite expensive - but shop around on Ebay and the Classifieds and you could find a bargain.

Personally, I think leaving the mag in was a bad idea. I get your reasons for not being fussed (chamber being empty etc), but if something *had* happened then it would raise questions as to why you had a gun with the mag in, in the SafeZone. It doesn't reflect well on you. Glad you've learned from that. Ultimately the fault would lie with the person who pulled the trigger (IMHO). Chances are that if he didn't check the safety (which is likely, who would pull the trigger knowing it was on Safe?), then he probably didn't think to check the chamber was cleared. It was an accident waiting to happen, glad no one was hurt!

If the only issue with the CM16 is that it's 2-Tone, why not just swap out the parts that are coloured? (Assuming you've got UKARA now). The stock and the front end are both very easy to swap around. If the body is what's painted - you can buy a new Reciever for approx £50 There's some pretty fancy designs out there if you shop around. You can probably do the whole lot for cheaper than a new AEG. Esp if you get some parts from sellers on here.

Oh, how I miss Fort Amherst. The Chapel was a b*tch to assault, but so much fun. I used to (try to) defeat the M249 with a riot shield. Didn't always work, but fun though. Back in '04? I used to play there regularly back then 😃

I wouldn't (personally) wear my Full Face in the SZ. I have a bulky Hockey Mask style for game play, but I've a pair of Shooting Glasses I'll be putting into a pouch for swapping into after the game. It never really occurred to me before reading the Word of Warning thread. The ones I have are (old) Guarder ones. I played a few times in them and never had any issues. They are a little gappy around the temple, but that could be me having an odd shaped head.

I think Multiglam tends to be pretty expensive. If you want cheap, DPM is the way to go. Can get a full set (trousers, shirt and smock) for around £60 if you shop around.

Can't help much on the BDU's, but as a rig I use an LA Assault Vest. Comes in pretty much any camo you'd want and is adjustable. I'm fairly skinny too and it does me fine. Normally about £20 for a vest. Can happily carry 12x M4 Mags and a few extra bits. They're not Tacticool, but mine has never let me down. Very lightweight so you don't overheat in the summer. Quick and comfortable for any play (I do woodland & CQB with mine). The back is MOLLE compatable (I think, never used it on mine) for the extra doodads. Started to modify mine to put some buckles on it to replace the Velcro straps, so I can use a mag pouch as a Holster for a Mk23. It was my first cheap vest and ive stuck with it ever since :-)

For the most part, yes. Check that the Reciever your looking at will fit the CYMA; some companies do have slight variations in parts that makes things a bugger to fit.

As Scarathe said, Stock Snipers are pretty much the same as stock AEG's. They put you at a disadvantage as they aren't as user friendly (compared to AEGs..in my opinion), and to get them to suitable as a Sniper they take a LOT of work and money. Personally, I'd never recommend playing as a sniper first off. I burrowed a team mates sniper for a while as I love the idea of being a sniper...but I couldn't get into it once I was there. It could have been a very expensive mistake. I've never come across any time where people would worry about you "slowing the team down". There's alway the crazy Red Bull fuelled kids who will disappear as soon as "Game On!" called. Just as there is always the slower, more subtle players (like yourself) who have as much fun. Although we play to win, we mostly play to have fun. I've never come across situations where someone is considered to have "held up the team". 99% of players wouldn't mind. Maybe in more serious games (Milsim?)* you might find it to be an issue. But in normal weekend games I can't imaging you'll have an issue. * to clarify, not being derogatory of MilSim. Just I get the feeling they do rely more on the whole team working together as a team. I may be wrong, never tried MS myself :-)

Assuming it uses a normal M4 Reciever, you shouldn't need an adaptor to fit the buffer tube. M4 stocks screw directly into the back of the reciever, so they can (usually) be swapped out fairly easily. I didn't have to change anything on my M4 and I've swapped the stock twice. :-)

I meant I can get trigger happy to burn through all the .20 I have now - so I don't waste it. But normally I'm pretty good. I'm that guy who always carries 12 mags but only uses 2. But I have to have the spares.....just incase! I realise it was a contradiction though. That's me all over.lol.

I'm not particularly trigger happy, but always willing to save a few pennies (Cheapsoft all the way!) Saw some G&G ones going cheaper than what I used to pay for Excel. Thanks!
