What a load of sh*t. The threshold for lethality for an airsoft gun has NOT yet been defined in law, an airsoft gun shooting over 1.3J auto is not a section five firearm, it's an airsoft gun. The legal limit for an air gun (which an airsoft gun pretty much is...) at the moment is 12ft/lbs, which you cannot achieve with an airsoft gun.

Firearms law for the UK is being revamped at the moment and there has recently been a consultation which will most likely result in the 'lethality' threshold for an airsoft gun being set at 1.3J, but that's not yet happened.

A 390fps 2-tone is perfectly legal, though not within site limits for any site that I know of. If you want it to be site legal you'll need to get the spring changed.

I'm afraid you can get more than 12 ftlbs out of an airsoft rifle...

  2. I'm with prof on the r hop, I've r hopped my g36 with edgi barrel, that made lots of difference, I've er hopped my bar 10 with orga 6.23 and that made so much difference i could over hop .80 steel bbs if I wanted !

The difference is night and day between a standard flat and r hop.

  3. B500A1 HPA

Might look crap and shite orange

But boy would wipe the grin off them stuck up sniggering bastids when you let rip

Just googled what one is! you know what?, for the £40 that it costs I might do it, would be hilarious to rock up somewhere and light it up, I'd have to hide the HPA stuff so it doesn't give it away😂

Then I could just swap out the engine to my proper project !

  4. Right.... I'm after a new project based around the wolverine inferno HPA engine, I like the look of the stubby badger, I've gat a g36 so not one of those, I'm after something really modern looking but realistic as a base, that takes STANAG mags, preferably tan and well made.

Any ideas what would look awesome ? The internals don't really matter as it'll all be getting swapped any way.

  5. Growing up using air rifles, then real rifles I've grown accustomed to gauging the Windage and aiming off accordingly, whilst doing some long range target practice today I've had 100% let to right and only just noticed that if I cant the rifle and still aim on target I can get the bb to actually curve, using the Magnus effect in to the wind and still hit, clearly it's still a new tequnique to myself so it's going to take a bit of practice but it works!

    Anyone else do this ?

  6. Strangely enough, I've stuck with the stick JG hop unit even through pretty much everyone else is upgraded,I've flattened the mating surfaces so it goes together perfectly and I'm getting really good results from it.

At the moment I don't feel the need to change it, I might in the new year when I've got spare cash.
