I feel your pain bud. I'm booked in for Red Alert on the 12th but I'm still going through all the "what if" scenarios. That said, I had to go to Swindon yesterday for work and they're currently 5th worst place for the 'rona in the UK so...

  4. does anyone have a borken beat up old ASG mk23 they want to get rid of parts from. Mine seems t have lost the parts sc22 and 23 at some point and i need to replace them and figure out if its the reason the pistol doesnt work quite right

save the money and think about it more, don't want to make the wrong choice 👍

If your current belt is uncomfortable, get the FRV.

If you want to replace mags, get the FRV belt.

      ;)

  7. Wondering how i can run a hydration bladder with a Warrior cpc without having to wear it like a backpack

Beyond the Iceplate suggestion (not sure how well it would fit) from @SeniorSpaz87 I don't think you'll have another option if you want to avoid a backpack/bladder.

The only other option would be a canteen on your belt.

      SeniorSpaz87

An Iceplate will fit anything thats designed to fit a SAPI. Something not often advertised about them is they come with straps to hang it on the inside of your vest as well if you already have a plate in/cant take a plate.

I have plastic plates In the cpc so could remove the rear one.
now just to find someone who actually has the qore system in stock

  8. Victory. Finally managed to get the rounded out screw from my kwa erg rail with an extractor. Now to figure out what size this little bugger is

checked the measurements with a chart on a supplier and everything seems to match up to being coarse threaded. on a m3 8mm bolt it says there should be about a 0.7mm distance between the threads which there is. So fingers crossed. Ordered 6 in both m3 and m4 sizing's just in case.

  9. Any suggestions for removing 'rounded' out and possibly cross threaded bolts from a handguard. It will not budge and not a clue what to do, what size to replace it with if i ever get it out.

    1. ghostwalker

      ghostwalker

Yeah they are the hex/Allen bolts. Figured with no airsoft , it was time to give my kwa erg a good clean up. Discovered the previous owner had Mullered one of the rail screws. Will try a Torx. Have also ordered a extractor set just incase.

Look up "Grabit" I had a stripped screw head that I couldnt get out even when supergluing the alan key to the screw. The Bit removed the screw easily.

  10. Hoping to get out for a game on Sunday  before the inevitable lockdown happens. Plan to rock the ics ape and asg mk23 now everything’s working as it should

  11. Thinking of jazzing you my ics cxp ape. Can’t decide. Bipod or new suppressor for it.

I slid into a bunker and caught my shin on a hidden tree stump. Bruised the leg good and proper but didn’t notice the tear until u got home. Good ‘L shaped’ tear a couple of inches in each direction. Doesn’t look like anywhere has the leo kholer ones in stock anymore either :(

At least that sounds fixable. Any good with a needle and thread? (could sew some fabric on the inside to reinforce it)

Can get around one. Just means a weak spot in the trousers from now on. Probably a trip to a surplus store at some point for a new set of trousers and Ubacs of some sort

  13. Dragging my somewhat flu ridden backside out for some much needed airsoft action tomorrow.

I’m down with that as long as I get the 2 weeks of self isolation. Yup 2 weeks off work with beer, pizza and chill time.

  14. Off to drop the the cxp Ape in for some much needed tlc. at Combay Action Games shop. New motor and lord knows what else is needed to get her back to her best.

  15. Any suggestions for a decent all year round pistol. Finding my green gas pistols just can’t cut it this time of year so thinking maybe c02. Budget about £150 including extra mag

@ghostwalker fixing a MK23 feeding issue is a piece of cake.

All you need to do is a light file job to the feed lips. Plenty of guides on the internet, even Noviboii made a video on it (on Vimeo, not YT, for some obscure reason). less than 30 seconds for 2 mags.

STOCK TM GBBs should be the way to go, plastic slides means more gas efficiency and less propellant used to cycle the whole thing, which results in less cooldown (given you aren't speedsofting your way through the day, in that case nothing beats a HPA tap). Placing your magazines closer to your body (in pockets for example) could also work.

      ghostwalker

@Skara @sonofsammo Think after much tinkering today i might finally have the asg mk23 working half way decently. Tried the filing down thing from Novs video but it didn't appear to be the fix. Then saw in another video that the little plastic rod that 'picks the bb up from the mag and into the hop' sometimes catches on the rubber valve infront of the feed lips. Filed it back a bit and hey presto.  It actually managed 10 rounds in a row!

  16. Looks like my much loved ics cxp ape is in need of some time with the tech. Full auto not engaging properly and sticking in semi. Lots of copper flecks on the outside of the motor and inside of the grip. :(

Time for some upgrades whilst you are at it!

The stock motor is pretty anaemic to be honest.

If I do much it would only be the repairs and maybe a better motor. I can’t really fault mine other than that.

  17. new site and new adventures tomorrow. Going to try out scorpion airsoft at the old hospital west raynham. Cqb chaos.

Mixed feelings. Will write a site review up later for it. For a once or twice a year site great. But for a regular cqb fix I would use battlestations at snetterton.

  18. 6 weeks with no airsoft. Tomorrow that’s all over. Heading down to blow off some steam and clear the cobwebs at Combat Action Games

@Albiscuit i did a review of scorpion airsoft in west raynham in the sites section (you asked about it back in september)

  19. That feeling when your body starts to remind you that it’s getting old and had years of abuse. Might be time to start thinking about role change as my left knee is shot to hell.

  21. is silicone grease ok to use for lubricating the slides and moving parts on gas blowback pistols?

Aaaaahh yes my herpes that shining light of courier services !

Had a parcel being delivered by them a few wks ago as I was away over night I logged in and stipulated ‘leave with neighbor’ (I have wonderful retired neighbors , there both deaf as a post and blind as a bat so perfect Airsoft neighbors !) any hoo get a txt saying “left in designated safe place , the porch” only problem there I don’t have a porch , I do have an angled section of roofing that sticks out about 3ft above the front door but no walls to it so definitely NOT a porch , so in the picture he so kindly sent me you can see said parcel leaning up against my front door in plain view for all to see! 🤬🤦‍♂️🤬

Last delivery by Hermes, person turned up in a knackered old fiesta..didn't bother with ringing the bell..found my package thrown over side door to the garden by my garage.  All recorded on cctv.  Complaint sent..not heard a thing back.  (3 months and waiting...guess an apology got lost in the mail..)  :)

      Druid799

I didn’t bother trying to complain to herpes I just put a poor review on millets website when it asked me to review my buying experience AND was contacted by there customer care team very next morning ! After back and fouring with some Doris on there team I got a £10 voucher as an apology for poor customer service .👍

  23. Question to the admins on here. I am taking part in a charity event for the Royal British Legion Industries. Would it be ok to post about it with a fundraising link in the general section?

I think the last time someone did something similar they posted a Link and a thread about why and what it was in the Off topic section.

    3. Jedi_Master

      Jedi_Master

Yes, I think that would be acceptable.  Create a new topic in the "Off Topic" section, give details of the event and who the charity is for, etc.  Adding a link to the rbli website would be useful for background context.

  24. Does anyone have any recommendations for a short dot sight. Thinking the asg one. But open to suggestion
