  1. What's people's genuine thoughts on the aap pistols? Thinking of one as a side arm to my dmr

      AdrKraft

I'd say more people complain about its looks rather than how it shoots, probably one of the best price effective pistols, honestly a pleasure to shoot with

@Terrywristt @EDcase @Impulse @AdrKraft cheers folks. I have jumped in and ordered the aap01c shinobi, a couple of mags along with a flamingo 50 bucking and the hadron Loki hop unit.

      Sewdhull

They shoot really well and will last if you stay in semi

  2. Side arm options for a sniper/dmr player. I am done with the mk23 as the mags just keep dying on me even when i have done all the sealant etc etc.

You can carry a lot of plastic for the same weight as a few gas mags.

      ghostwalker

sadly @Rogerborg my mp5sd6 is far too heavy for that jobby lol. I did try but the tm one weighs more than my mtw does lol

    4. Krisz

      Krisz

AAP-01? It's cheap and eats glock magazines.

  3. torn right now. Plan on getting a wolverine mtw or get a tm mws and run it with a hpa adapter.

    1. Krisz

      Krisz

Tough choice because both are good on their own.

MTW Unleashed got released not long ago so no need for a line anymore. :)

    2. ghostwalker

      ghostwalker

I already have the bottle and line as I have a inferno engine in my g3 dmr

I love recoil rifs. But just don't know if running a gbbr via an hpa adapter is going to cause more issues than its worth.

    3. Krisz

      Krisz

With a decent hpa adapter you shouldn't have leak or misfeed issues.

  4. Boom. Buzzing. Just won a TM mp5 sd6.

Nkw to go kn the hunt for some spare mags for it.

@Jacketcheers, thats one thing. Now a way to carry the darn thing as a 'side arm' rather than a primary.

Would an MP7 leg holster work or could be adapted?

@gavinkempsell im trying a knock off of the sas concealed holster that  goes on your side. Failing that i might try a thigh holster but fear the mp5 sd6 might be too long. I have been shown a kydex one but thats big bucks retailing around £170

  5. so tired of fogging up my ess crossbows. Mostly through sweat from my head. Anyone have any good suggestions?

Just to add my tuppence worth.

I suffer bad with fogging,so bad that I need fog lights front and rear, but this weekend at the nae, after a bad Saturday,I purchased a £50 pair of Bloc glasses.

Ran them on the Sunday and wow! No issues at all. I set up a challenge with the vendor that if they fogged I would be back for my money. Pleased to say that I never went back for a refund.

I have tried pretty much everything but these work for me 👍

      Regards

    3. ghostwalker

      ghostwalker

Will see how they work as I ordered some bloc lynx with the gasket on Friday. Also ordered some little magnetic wipes from etsy. If that all fails I will get an ex-fog unit as a final hope lol

    4. Shamal

      Shamal

Yeah mine are the Bloc Lynx but without foam.

      Hope yours work for you🤞16932210765291978381765676811740.thumb.jpg.68692d6e2296b6149d8e3ed8910bc0a1.jpg16932210020868080402120316802667.thumb.jpg.8f3dc7f3b1389a261361b7390643e045.jpg

  6. has anyone tried the spec savers safety glasses for prescription eye wear. they have the en166f rating that seems to be the standard. Asking as a friend is trying to find prescription eye pro for airsoft

    1. JinxDuh

      JinxDuh

Has he looked into eyepro that has inserts? It would be far cheaper than buying safety glasses direct from specsavers I would assume, and would also ensure full seal etc hopefully 😂

    2. ghostwalker

      ghostwalker

he did but is concerned that fogging could then become a double issue. He tried the spec savers glasses and they give you these flex side panels that make them almost full seal

    3. Krisz

      Krisz

I use a bolle otg (180 at the moment) and an exfog combo and it's quite good. I cut off some rubber from both sides to make it more "breathable".

  7. I'm picking up an old ics m4 ris to stick a wolverine engine in. But externally can't decide what to do. Suggestions for something cool looking. Optics wise its a vortex strikefire 2with flip magnifier

  8. Can anyone recommend a replacement fire selector plate for the vfc hk417 or somewhere that doesn't want £100 for shipping it

    1. SeniorSpaz87

      SeniorSpaz87

Have you tried talking to VFC themselves? Ive ordered parts for my 417s direct from them before and the shipping costs were negligible enough that I dont even remember them.

    2. ghostwalker

      ghostwalker

Not yet. I ha e tried orderj g from wgc shop as someone linked to them with it only costing £16 including shipping so fingers crossed.

  9. 1st game day in a few months. Ready to finally rock the tmg3sg1 now its all hpa'd up and ready!

  10. Underwear change required. Using a compressor (set to 3k psi with auto cut off) to fill my 3000psi bottle for the 1st time. Whoosh 5k burst disk ruptures. I nearly go deaf and damn near sh!t myself lol

      Lozart

Absolutely! I used to work at a wind tunnel - we had a 1000bar compressor that blew a blanking plate off the top of the tunnel. 10" round, flat plate bolted on with a bajillion bolts and it just completely disappeared!

    3. Tactical Pith Helmet

      Tactical Pith Helmet

I used to work with cast fittings at silly pressures.  We once had a batch of ball valves with no balls in them.  Since they were small control valves no one noticed until the system was pressured up.  Some idiot had re-boxed Chinese knock off rubbish and sold them unchecked.  It happened a lot.  We always bought rupture discs and lifting gear from the manufacturers direct as a result.  As Rog says, 40% over spec and its really not funny!

    4. ghostwalker

      ghostwalker

Oh absolutely. I would prefer it goes before the 5k limit rather than after it. A small couple of pence disc popping is much more preferable than a large aluminium cylinder sending frag everywhere. On the plus side, new burst discs purchased and fitter and tank filled without any further drama.

  11. might swear. bought a tm mp5/g3 claw mount to fit my tm g3. Will not sit stable am i missing something

weirdly if i put it back to front it locks in place.

      ghostwalker

@Lozart every picture i see has it with the lever on the left side of the receiver/mount. But it will only lock in place on mine if I put it on the right side. Nit really sure why asbits the tm mount on a tm receiver.

    3. Lozart

      Lozart

Good point, well made. The lever is supposed to be on the left. Of course, airsoft QC and tolerances laugh in the face of how things are supposed to fit!

    4. ghostwalker

      ghostwalker

Fair point and especially on an antique like the tm g3

  12. hmmm best bb's to run in a dmr. Geoffs 32 or 36's, ascension research 36's or longbow 36's

imho Geoff's 36's. Never let me down. Longbow are a close second if I can't get Geoff's.

    4. Impulse

      Impulse

I like .4s or higher in a DMR, but in terms of brands I like Geoffs, BLS or Longbow, depending on what's in stock and for what weight.

  13. Does anyone have a gate warfet programming card they don't need anymore. Mines kaput and need one. Happy to pay

  14. Does anyone know where I might be able to get a laylax ebr g3 stick from or something that looks identical?

    1. ghostwalker

      ghostwalker

      stock not stick*

  15. Just pulled the trigger on a tm g3 sg1 thats been upgraded. Not an m4 and 1st ofray into using a dmr. ooh errr exciting times.

    1. strykerles

outdoors I mostly use a DMR, just remember you MED and a backup for when things get upclose 👍

    2. ghostwalker

I have a mk23 or tm fnx 45 for back up. Might eventually invest in a small smg or the likes

    3. strykerles

      strykerles

I use an MP9 in a leg holster, the full auto is crazy and makes people think twice :D

  16. rgh cant decide. TM G3 SG1 as something different. Or Krytac trident mk2 spr as something in line with my other m4 variants

  17.  the vfc aeg rifs as bad as their rep suggests?

    1. Beorn

      Beorn

I got one second hand in a like-new condition from the classified section on here. Only skirmished it the once so far. Its my first ever aeg so am only comparing it to diabolically bad rentals, to me it feels like a dream obviously. Externals are pretty nice. I've heard reliability is iffy but can't really speak on that as I've not had the thing long enough. Trigger response seems snappy, shoots accurately and has a couple of nice bits like a maple rubber as standard. For what I paid it feels like a killer piece of kit.

But then you go and look at someone who knows their shit, e.g Negative Airsoft on youtube, and he fucking hates them from what I've seen 🤷‍♂️

Edit: The one I have is a VFC Avalon Saber Carbine - it comes out of the box with a maple leaf rubber, tightbore barrel, basic mosfet and some nice externals. Its definitely not the best gun in town but I got it for like 270 quid or something so I really can't complain, especially with combat machines going for 200+ these days

    2. Krisz

      Krisz

It depends on which model you fancy. Some of them are shit and some of them are decent. Avalon series isn't bad at all. And then they made Sig AIR MPX/MCX which is a disgrace...

VFC defo stepped up their game regarding GBBR though. Almost everyone praises their HK 416A5 or the new SIG MPX.

I think the biggest problem with VFC is that it had very bad reputation regarding reliability and QC years ago and it difficult to change on that view especially when it's not popular in the UK compared to the States or Asia and your sample is gonna be always small because most of the people not gonna choose a VFC over a Marui/Cyma/G&G. So people keep parroting each other instead of trying one and see it for themselves. Other issue is that VFC is so freaking expensive compared to the rest.

My personal view is that it's very difficult to fuck up AEG's nowadays. Internally 99% of them is the gonna be the same....

  18. Argh I hate mk23 mags. Plug one leak, another starts.

I'm just trying to stop one's leaking thatvhad already had everything everyone recommends done in the past. New valves, new routers, even stripped down and out silicon sealant around the oring and sides to prevent the base leaks

    3. Impulse

      Impulse

I tried fixing mine too and they were gas tight for a game day before they sprung a leak again, plus one of my gas tight ones also sprung a leak so I just said "screw it" and gave up on them. Fortunately I have a bunch of STTI mags that have been gas tight for years, so I just swapped the feed lips and gas routers over because the STTI feed lips are wank

    4. ghostwalker

      ghostwalker

I'm hoping it's sorted for now but we shall see. Stripped them, cleaned every oring, re lubed all the ones on valves and then redid the sealant on the base plate and inside of the mag. They have geld gas for 12 hours so far

  19. Running. Making me realise airsoft isn't so expensive after all.

What weight @Rogerborg watch and headphones are stupidly lightweight. Everything else is either neccessarybsoni dont get arrested for indecent exposure or tonhel prevent injury (compression calf sleeves as I suffer with constant calf strains, running socks because blisters suck)

Unless you mean the about 2 stone of saggy baggage around my waist, in which case I really wish that would do one lol

Thanks for the information, hope you get it back as promised and can get it sorted.

I have had work done by Ian at Firesupport, he’s an excellent airsoft gunsmith, and a very nice guy.

  23. Does anyone know a good kwa erg tech? Think my old girl is going to need some serious tlc
