  1. I'm a teacher, and i think you lack the understanding of the dedication teachers put in. Every teacher has their own reason to become teachers and comes from different walks of life and adding to that it's harder and harder to become a teacher now. it's not easy to get trained and required more study and attention to detail than you think. I think you stereotyping young people based on a small group whom you are right "whom don't give a toss about their lives and education" but I'm teaching and have taught many more if not majority whom likes to learn and at the end of the day do appreciate teachers. I don't want to burst your bubble but where would you be without education now? +++ Back to the point of this thread - what sort of job do people take to fund this hobby? well i think it's quite open, I do agree money is a big part to help fund it but if you live for the hobby it doesn't matter what job you are in; coz you'll find a way to safe up or fund it however you can as you'll know it's worth it. +++ BTW Jambo, I wonder if you can do this in a class room of ~30 kids of what is expected of all teachers currently in the country. Below is the current 8 teaching standards and you are expected to do all that every lesson for all the kids. Good luck. 1 Set high expectations which inspire, motivate and challenge pupils - establish a safe and stimulating environment for pupils, rooted in mutual respect - set goals that stretch and challenge pupils of all backgrounds, abilities and dispositions - demonstrate consistently the positive attitudes, values and behaviour which are expected of pupils. 2 Promote good progress and outcomes by pupils - be accountable for attainment, progress and outcomes of the pupils - plan teaching to build on pupils’ capabilities and prior knowledge - guide pupils to reflect on the progress they have made and their emerging needs - demonstrate knowledge and understanding of how pupils learn and how this impacts on teaching - encourage pupils to take a responsible and conscientious attitude to their own work and study. 3 Demonstrate good subject and curriculum knowledge -have a secure knowledge of the relevant subject(s) and curriculum areas, foster and maintain pupils’ interest in the subject, and address misunderstandings - demonstrate a critical understanding of developments in the subject and curriculum areas, and promote the value of scholarship -demonstrate an understanding of and take responsibility for promoting high standards of literacy, articulacy and the correct use of standard English, whatever the teacher’s specialist subject -if teaching early reading, demonstrate a clear understanding of systematic synthetic phonics -if teaching early mathematics, demonstrate a clear understanding of appropriate teaching strategies. 4 Plan and teach well structured lessons - impart knowledge and develop understanding through effective use of lesson time -promote a love of learning and children’s intellectual curiosity -set homework and plan other out-of-class activities to consolidate and extend the knowledge and understanding pupils have acquired -reflect systematically on the effectiveness of lessons and approaches to teaching -contribute to the design and provision of an engaging curriculum within the relevant subject area(s). 5 Adapt teaching to respond to the strengths and needs of all pupils - know when and how to differentiate appropriately, using approaches which enable pupils to be taught effectively -have a secure understanding of how a range of factors can inhibit pupils’ ability to learn, and how best to overcome these -demonstrate an awareness of the physical, social and intellectual development of children, and know how to adapt teaching to support pupils’ education at different stages of development -have a clear understanding of the needs of all pupils, including those with special educational needs; those of high ability; those with English as an additional language; those with disabilities; and be able to use and evaluate distinctive teaching approaches to engage and support them. 6 Make accurate and productive use of assessment -know and understand how to assess the relevant subject and curriculum areas, including statutory assessment requirements -make use of formative and summative assessment to secure pupils’ progress -use relevant data to monitor progress, set targets, and plan subsequent lessons -give pupils regular feedback, both orally and through accurate marking, and encourage pupils to respond to the feedback. 7 Manage behaviour effectively to ensure a good and safe learning environment -have clear rules and routines for behaviour in classrooms, and take responsibility for promoting good and courteous behaviour both in classrooms and around the school, in accordance with the school’s behaviour policy -have high expectations of behaviour, and establish a framework for discipline with a range of strategies, using praise, sanctions and rewards consistently and fairly -manage classes effectively, using approaches which are appropriate to pupils’ needs in order to involve and motivate them -maintain good relationships with pupils, exercise appropriate authority, and act decisively when necessary. 8 Fulfil wider professional responsibilities -make a positive contribution to the wider life and ethos of the school -develop effective professional relationships with colleagues, knowing how and when to draw on advice and specialist support -deploy support staff effectively -take responsibility for improving teaching through appropriate professional development, responding to advice and feedback from colleagues -communicate effectively with parents with regard to pupils’ achievements and well-being.
  2. Oh that isn't too far actually i can afford to go down there, it's only 1h 20 min...so not too bad thanks!
  3. Any one been to Bunker 51? Looking to going around/in london for some game over easter holidays. Anyone can recommend some CQB sites around london or around close enough to Milton Keynes. (Currently mostly in woodlands and large sites so want to change the pace abit) thanks in advance
  4. Just saw this and i got interested I'm running a MP7 AEP (~250FPS) 100 round mid caps mags up until now and have got myself a M14 as a DMR. but i totally agree with a CQB a AEP is properly more reliable and lack of buying gas in the long run & allowing me to push up with the rest of the team even without my primary. i haven't had a issue with the accuracy of my MP7 so far but i'll find out if there is a gap inside the 20-30 metre range where it'll potentially be the weakness of both the AEP and the DMR. where one is might not reach (in terms of accurate firing) and the other because of the restriction. let you know when i find out
  5. Thanks yes i'll be going for a G&G M14 so the 0.2g are way too light for it. thanks for the advise on sifting through BBs for quality
  6. Hey all, Just wondering where would be the most reliable place to order BBs? I'm in need of finding some 0.25g or 0.28g to try out with a new gun but not sure which brands i should go for as i've only been using 0.2g up til now any advise will be grateful
  7. thanks guys! that really helps i'll try to clean it with the rod and soak up as much of the oil up. then if it doesn't work i'll try disassemble to clean. @ spoon - thanks, i know i've seen some clips on youtube showing disassemble hence i'm not keen on doing it :/
  8. (Sorry only realised i've put it in the wrong sub-section) Oh right.. so i have to wait for it to just wear out now if i don't want to open it all up and clean it all off?
  9. Hi! I've recently purchased a TM Mp7A1 AEP - and have Mid-Caps (100rds) it is stock Gearbox and have stock battery. I've been experiencing low FPS ~90-120FPS at chrono until i've shot like 20-30 rounds when it gone back up ~250FPS. But during the whole day i've experience inconsistent in the FPS where BBs fall short for like 10 shots then goes back up. The gear box sounds healthy both when blank and loaded. I tried swapping battery (all four of them... >.>) , Mags(both full and half-full), no hob-up and hop-up. Just wondering whats wrong with it? any idea what i can try next? (only thing i can think of is that I've maybe spray too much silicone oil? only like a half second burst a few days before the game into the chamber from the mag well) any ideas or advise on what has happened would be greatly appreciated. 10. Hi there! I've started to play Airsoft since the start of last Sep & decided it's about time to hit the forums for ideas and help I currently run a TM Mp7A1 and a G&G M14 (arrived today !!) My general location is near the land of the roundabouts! I hope to travel around to see more sites around the country when i could. I'm relatively new to maintaining my own kit - so i'll ask a lot of questions.
