The MAV isn't too uncomfortable to go prone with- if you have it so the bottom hangs to the end of your ribcage your elbows stop it from touching the ground, meaning you don't hurt yourself
that's sh*t frizzle, anything can be used as a DMR- I've heard of guys who upgrade MP5s to DMR spec and have them locked to semi, and they get pretty good results.
Tac master i'm more talking about the mag couplers on the side of g36 mags digging into your chest, it'd be far more comfortable to have them lower down- in the case of other mag types it probably is comfy up there though.
The WE m14 gets a worse rep than it deserves- it takes a while to get used to putting mags in properly so they dont vent but the performance on them is brilliant. There was a batch of bad ones a while ago but that happens to everything at some point or ot...
There's quite a lot of ridges on my G&G midcaps and I don't feel anything through the 2CM of cordura and nylon of the pouch and the back of the rig. I can't say what it's like with G36 mags though
Assuming they're just normal style stanags, they're near enough flat, the g36 ones protrude a fair bit, though if there's 2cm of cordura plus all that stuff i'd probably want something a bit more low profile anyway, that's a lot of fabric
Thanks guys basicly I was thinking of getting the stock G39K and replacing the front with a UGL which is designed for G36 series, instead of getting a UGL that slides onto rails, once done that I would buy just a simple plate carrier with MOLLE for some mag pouches, but I will take into account about the mags been awkwardly Shaped, I also still need to get a SMOCK in Flechtarn, because I have only got a DPM one, and I like to use Flechtarn more often, so then I could use that as more paddi...
or put a dummy plate in a plate carrier - G36 mags go in STANAG mag pouches if you take the internal spacers out - 2 locked together in a pouch for 3 STANAGs - not separate tho unless you take the lugs off, but why would you?
